In the past, Ive always liked the Chicken Katsu here. Nothing else though. Earlier today I walked to Wiki Wiki on my lunch break from work and ordered the Chicken Katsu. I walked all the way back to the office and, much to my dismay, opened up my to-go box and saw Grilled Chicken instead of my Chicken Katsu! I called Wiki Wiki and told them I ordered Chicken Katsu but got a different order. The woman who answered my phone call was the same woman who took my order previously (the cashier). Her name is Sally. She said, "You ordered Chicken Katsu." "Yes," I said. "But I gave you BBQ Chicken." I breathed a sigh of relief because I figured she realized that she messed up. "Yes," I said, "so you got my order wrong." She did NOT apologize, but replied, "Okay, you can come in and exchange the order as long as you didnt eat any of the BBQ Chicken." I told her that I was at work, and went to Wiki on my lunch break but could not return. "Is there anything you can do, then? Because you got my order wrong, and I eat here a lot but I think you should make it right. It was your mistake." And she responded, "You can come tomorrow, but I will charge you $7.41 if you want Chicken Katsu." I told her that she should give me a free meal tomorrow, but she said that she wasnt going to do that. I asked her if there was any way she could correct her mistake, and the only consolation she offered was for me to leave work, come back to Wiki, and exchange my uneaten order for a new one. I am not giving Wiki a 1-star for the food. I am giving Wiki 1-star for their lack of customer service. This is a family-owned business, and they should represent the company well with appreciation and respect for their loyal customers. I used to work for a restaurant, and I know that this is no way to treat customers. The customer is always right, and when you do something blatantly wrong to ruin their experience and perception of the restaurant, you should offer to mend the mistake. In this case, unfortunately, Sally ruined my perception of Wiki Wiki, a restaurant that I loved fervently and was loyal to in the past. Goodbye, Wiki Wiki. It was a good relationship, but its over. I cant be with someone who doesnt show respect to me or appreciate me. It doesnt mean I wont think about you often. Maybe some day down the road (like in 6months), Ill find the heart to forgive you. I hope you treat others better than you treated me.

I enjoy trying chicken katsu at various hawaiian bbq restaurants. The chicken katsu meal here was an instant favorite for me. I have been coming here every 2-4 months since 2007 and each time the chicken katsu is made to perfection. The people behind the counter are always friendly and create a comfortable environment to eat in. Adding to my post, last time visiting this place was March 2016 and the food is still amamzing.

My friend ordered the BBQ lunch plate combo; I ordered the seafood combo with chicken katsu. Both were incredibly delicious. The chicken katsu was so juicy and flavorful it tasted like pork. My friend finished almost all of his and experienced pain. I finished half of mine and felt full. My recommendation - go with a friend, and split a lunch combo along with a musubi each (I recommend spam). Ill be back here soon.

I go here at least once every three week, or so. The chicken katsu is good, and dont even get me started on how the perfect balance of the broiled fish with garlic. I would pay more for that one alone, and I am pretty much a cheapo. Speaking of which, the prices are reasonable. Also, the gentleman at the front counter always remembers me, and always extends a pleasant greeting

Their mini portions are cheaper and surprisingly large. I had the kalua pork and spam masubi. The shredded pork was soft but salty, and luckily paired well with the bland and buttery macaroni salad. I didnt know what to expect from spam masubi, but it tasted exactly how you think its constituents would taste simply wrapped together. Id probably come back just to try the katsu!

I dont think Ive ever had anything here other than the Kalua Pork, and I dont think I ever will. Its pretty dang good and, if youre like I was in college, the serving size to price ratio is ideal.

I used to work around the corner from this place and it gets my cheap and yummy neighbourhood award. $6 will get you a heaping portion of super tender meat with sauce over two scoops of rice.
