Service was great, food was delicious. Its my first time coming in today (7/7/17) to this restaurant and this first impression is wanting me to come back. If I need to make any changes on the ratings I will but so far this place is the only Mexican restaurant I like in Utah. I come from California and so far I havent been able to find a delicious tasting restaurant like this one. My kids are picky eaters and they ate everything on their plate. My husband was stuffed and he can eat. Delicious! Delicious! Delicious! Give it a try, there is nothing to lose, really I hope you can experience and taste the delicious food my family and I tasted! We sure and most defenatly will be coming back!

Went there for dinner and first off the frozen Strawberry daiquiri machine was not operatable so they tried to make it on the rocks it had no taste so had to get a beer instead. I ordered what I assumed was the white cheese for me to dip my chips into and what I got was a soup. Ok so that might have been partly my fault not knowing what they call it but I did say cheese dip. I also ordered a soft beef taco with just cheese and it came with everything so had to send it back. They brought me a another one with onions, so I just pulled them out. The bad part the food was not good at all. I would not recommend this restaurant if you want good mexican food while in Salt Lake City.

Looking for authentic Mexican food so tried La Hacienda. I had the combo skillet and really liked it. Lots of meat and vegetables. Only came with two tortillas, but ended up taking much of the meal home. Wife got two chimichungas, and while good, they seemed unusually cheesy. Service was good, not stellar, but I will say, the restaurant was a little run down, the floors dirty and the menu falling apart. First appearances mean a lot. Still, we were satisfied with the experience, and want to try it out again in the future.

We love, love, love this place. We come normally once a week. However, lately it seems hit or miss with the wait staff. Our last visit we waited ten minutes for our server to appear. After finally getting our drinks and chips and salsa (which are delicious!), our food came. Our waitress never checked on our satisfaction, never checked our drinks for refills, and we had to ask for our check. Other times service is dead on. But the food is good, and they are on more than off. We are all human, so we try to understand and keep going back.

First time there and I must say the service and food was excellent. I had the chile verde and cheese enchilada. Both were tasty and much different from other restaurants in the valley. The sauce was the perfect heat and the pork was tender. The cheese used was awesome. My wife had a tostada and we were impressed that the shell was actually not soggy. Our server was prompt and helpful. She even gave us a sample of the chile Colorado, which was excellent as well. We will be back and it may become a staple in our dining rotation.

I have been going to La Hacienda since 1997 when they were on State St and 13th South, I still eat there frequently, there is a reason for it, there is just no better Mexican food in the Salt Lake area, in fact I have never found any other restaurant compare to it, even when I travel to other Cities, Ester and her family that own the restaurant have great Mexican recipes, and their staff do a great job keeping the food consistent, and of course are always friendly. Five Stars to them for their hard work at La Hacienda.

Ive been eating here for over a decade. It is my favorite Mexican restaurant (obviously :). Ive probably had at least half the items on the menu. My favorite is Juevos Rancheros, over easy, flour tortillas, chile verda, no rice, add potatoes. Other favorites are the Carnitas Torta, Tacos Mexicanos, Pescado, smothered Chile Verde Burrito, Combo with two of shredded beef taco, carnitas taco, chicken enchilada, or chile Relleno. Id love to eat there, tonight, but, as I write, its after closing :).

Best experience Ive had any where in a long time. Great food and great service. The chips and salsa was so good. The salsa had the perfect kick and tasted so very fresh. My margarita was fantastic. I got the carne asada, amazing! The beans and rice are super good. Everything was perfect. My husband got a combo plate. I cant wait to have my leftovers! Haha this is a true gem. Finally a great place to eat. Two good meals and two drinks and it was only $35. Not bad for date night!

This place is great, you wont find sauce drenched, flavorless dishes that other supposedly great Mexican restaurants in SLC serve. The staff is very friendly especially Mary and Janet :) The rice is light and flavorful, not overly spiced the enchiladas rancheras are awesome, the carnitas burrito to die for and anything with the chicken potato filling, YUM! Oh the Corn Dough Quesadillas are a must with a Mexican Coke ofcourse.

Wont come back in the day time. But the night shift was amazing. The workers on day shift are rude and care more about eating watermelon then taking care of their gust. We asked for refills and it took them over 15 minutes to get them. They ignored 3 gust that they ended up walking out. This was the fist time here during the day and will be the last time. I love the food but the day service absoutltly sucks.

Best part about this place is that they are consistent.. Whenever you go here the food will taste the same. If you have something you dont like, then you know that. But when you find your go to plate, you can rely on it, you can be ready for it to arrive at your table and savor it. Try their smothered Chimichangas. HOLY CRAP :) p.s Never found anything i didnt like :) thank you La Hacienda

Food and service are amazing! They treat you so well, and the food is equally as good as the way they treat you. I would DEFINITELY recommend this place. The Mexican food is authentic, and delicious, and theyre more than willing to accommodate your special orders on the food. They are on top of all refills, and always ask if you would like desert. Amazing place to have lunch or dinner at!

Its always amazed how people line up for days at The Red Iguana Mexican Restaurant. Ive eaten at so many supposedly good Mexican places but Ive never been so pleased with an eating house as LaHacienda. This family cooks like nobodys business!!! Just outstanding! Seriously, you wont find better. Everyone that I turn on to this place keeps coming back for more. They never disappoint us.
