We recently had our 1st experience at Station 52. It started with our waitress having zero personality. After she took our order she came back twice asking questions. I guess she didnt write it down? My husband ordered the sirloin steak wrapped in bacon. Its the only sirloin on the menu!! When it came there was NO bacon. When we brought it to the attention of the waitress she said shed go tell someone. Not sure who that was. The options given were dessert on them or have it taken off the bill. We chose the dessert. The cheeseburger my son got was just a frozen patty. Nothing special. My salmon was ok. It was a little overlooked but otherwise ok. We didnt get the garlic bread that is supposed to come with the meals we ordered. We had to hunt our waitress down for refills. We never saw her much. We got the funnel cake for the "free" dessert. It was so overcooked it was crunchy all over. Funnel cake should not be crunchy. We. Ever ONCE saw a manager. In most restaurants when theres a problem the manager typically comes to talk to you. I even sent an email in and have yet to hear a response. Its a shame. Ive read several reviews. It seems like the manager just doesnt care about his business. It was our first and last visit there. I would give it less than 1 star if I could.

SIX Stars! * * * * * * We were looking for a place to have a surprise 40th birthday party for our son. We love the Mendenhall Inn and have given many parties there over the years. So we checked out the Station 52 and almost decided against it after reading Karen Reilly’s feedback. But we went for lunch to check it for ourselves, and we are very glad we did. The two rooms in the back accommodated our 31 guests very comfortably. The Food: appetizers – pizza, wings, spanakopita, veggie trays, various chips and sauces, etc. main courses, Asian Grilled Salmon, Prime Rib and Chicken Pot Pie: one better than the other. The Service: management (Ted) very accommodating, two waiters Colin and Leslie with help from Mark were always there for us. The Atmosphere: upscale yet informal made for a very casual, relaxing and enjoyable evening. Station 52 is now our go to place for a great enjoyable lunch or dinner, for a party of 2 or 30+. Thank you very much.

We really wanted to like this place, but there was nothing positive in our experience. The service was terrible- truly terrible. 20 minutes after seating we were still waiting for the waitress to take our drink orders. When the drinks finally arrived, we had to flag down the manager to find one drink order which was "lost". The appetizers were dull (put a few vegetables on the hummus plate) or just bad (the nachos were tortilla chips with melted cheese and not much else). The entrees were ordinary at best ( a side order of chips should not include a bag of Lays potato chips in a $14 meal). We have enjoyed the Mendenhall Inn, but there are so many better choices for the value- Buckleys, The Chadds Ford Inn, or a half dozen places in Kennett. I would be surprised if they are still in business in 6 months without some serious improvements.....

Took the line cook >30 minutes to make a cheesesteak, which is ridiculous for takeout. When I asked the waitstaff as to the orders status I was told twice that they were bagging it. After several more minutes and some complaining, the waitstaff went to the kitchen, at which point the cook looked out to the waiting area and instead of responsibly doing his job, decides to wave at me sarcastically, making sure I saw him. I came VERY CLOSE to leaving the food on the counter and after taking it home, discovered they forgot part of the order. After eating the food, I wish I had left the order on the counter. I will NEVER patronize this establishment again, so if youre the mgr reading this: way to go doing such a horrible job!

We had a delicious meal at Station 52. Our server Courtney was wonderful, very attentive and genuinely welcoming. Our drinks and food arrived within a few minutes after we ordered. We got crab cakes that were exceptional. Greek salad was fresh. Kids had pizza and pasta. Pizza was thin crust and really good. Pasta with Parmesan cheese was also good. Save some room for dessert, as it is amazing. Kids shared a Chocolate Lava Cake, which came with two large scoops of ice cream covered in melted chocolate. Adults shared Raspberry Cheesecake, which had pieces of raspberries inside and it was just right, not too sweet and not too creamy. We will be back!

For the past two months we bought some take out food here. Every time the food is very good and tasty. Antipasto today looks like the left overs from the work station that must go to the goat penn. The word chopped does not come in todays salad. Meat not even noticeable as what we are used to from previous times. Crab balls normally comes with chipotle mayo on the side so you can apply to your own taste. Today they decided to dump crab balls in mayo so you must eat like that. Only realized this when we were 25 min away. Not worth the time to go back. Very disappointed. Always enjoyed the food but today was not good.

Tried this restaurant when they first opened hoping the food would be more upscale than the original medenhall deli. Food was disappointing - chalked it up to being new and getting used to the menu. Went over a year later & the food has not changed - may have gotten worse. Ordered simple chips & dip and the cheese looked like it came straight from a can, ordered a Fall Salad with Salmon that was smothered in dressing and the salmon was overcooked - very unappetizing. This was definitely our last visit - many other local options that are more worth your time and money.

Decent. The restaurant itself is very nice and everything is polished. Our waiter accidentally dropped our drinks and it got all over the floor. Yikes! Poor guy. I ordered a burger with onion rings, bacon, cheddar, and bbq sauce, and it was pretty good. The fries were good but they were reaaalllly salty. My friend ordered the white cheese pizza and there was a lot of ricotta cheese, it was a little overwhelming. The water tasted like it was straight from the tap. Overall its a nice place to eat, but there are a few things that were a little bit meh

This is my retraction, they have remodeled and made some changes even though they eliminated one of my favorites their doing alright now. Going to place order for lunch in a minute. SOMETHING went wrong used to be a good spot. I ordered a vegetarian Stromboli it took 1hr+ to arrive then it was packed with ham WTF really. Onion rings soggy as hell. This is the 3rd time they Fed up the order or showed up extremely late. I will NEVE order from them again.

The food here is, how can I put it nicely, not good. Great new place with great new bar and friendly staff. Food tastes like it came straight off the Sysco truck. A never thought someone could mess up salad, and then I came here. Go for a sporting event to watch at the bar but have something to eat first :)
