The service is good here so far. The staff seems to have been in restaurant service before and knows what their doing. Theres a bar, and community tables where the tables are big and the expectation is that anyone and everyone can/will sit together at the tables on the bar side. A restaurant side will open shortly, it looks a little more formal. All of the food, beer and drinks seem to come from PA, which is nice for food but Id like a bigger selection of drinks. Things Ive had that were good: beef stroganoff, disco fries, ramen, beef short ribs fries, and shrimp and grits. The short rib fries could use less sauce and more beef in my opinion. The special mixed drinks are too sweet, and the pirogies are were just not good. Update: Ive had the reservation side now. My party had to wait about 20 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. When we were seated the food took about 50 minutes to be delivered. So, service was very slow. The food is definitely better on that side, I had the crab pappardelle and the striped bass and both were great. Again, the wait staff is good, but there seem to be issues with the kitchen. One pet peeve: you cant order food from the opposite side of the restaurant and the reservation side is more of an adventurous menu so one person in the party passed on food. They need more "safe" options or they should let you order from both menus.

The beer was good, but that was despite the people that work there. I live in the neighborhood but will never go there again. Once was enough. Let me say more. I had been curious about Suburban Beer Garden for a while. My neighbor and I went there early on a Friday (today) to beat the crowd. We sat down in their outdoor seating area where we were ignored for 15 minutes. So we went into the bar where we were then also ignored by the two bartenders as well as several wait staff who practically pushed us out of their way without offering any service. I finally got the attention of a bartender who served us beer, which was very good. We returned to our seats outdoors until it started to rain. We moved to a seat under an umbrella. After 5 min or so, one of the staff informed us that only people getting food can sit where we were, never mind that the place was mostly empty. I asked where we could sit, and she pointed to where we were before. I said you mean "you want us to sit in the rain?". She said, "those are our rules". My neighbor and I just left, leaving much of our beer behind. Let me add that I seldom write reviews. The service at the Suburban Beer Garden angered me so much that I felt compelled.

My wife and I were so excited to have Suburban open, we love locally sourced foods and the farm to table movement. We had a larger group (10 adults) and we were able to seat 10-15 minutes prior to our reservation. The waitress was at first prompt, but service grew slower as the night went on. She seemingly had the entire side of the restaurant to herself, with a food runner or two to help. The cheese plate was advertised to serve 3-4 people, it was barely for two. Also it was just kind of dropped off; no notes of what kind cheese, animal, or farm they came from. I dont know if the runner didnt know or if it was just too busy to tell us. We love cheese plates, and this was extremely disappointing considering it was $18. Other farm to table establishments easily give twice as much, with same quality, at that price point. My entree was fine, nothing to rave about.. maybe a tad over done for a medium temp lamb. I would like to say this is all due to the restaurant being new and going through growing pains. I will certainly check out the other side of the restaurant as its more relaxed and beer focused. I want this place to succeed, but they will need to pay more attention to the details at this price point.

Have been waiting for all these new restaurants in Eagleview to open. Unfortunately, the most anticipated, Suburban, was just average. There were 4 of us eating. We ordered the cheese board which came with 2 of the smallest pieces of cheese. There were only 3 pieces of crostini for 4 of us....Please! Not worth the ridiculous $18 charged for 2 tiny pieces of cheese, some bad salami and 3 crostini. My husband and I had the pulled pork. The pork was cooked nicely but not a bit of flavor on it. Served with a little taste of mustard sauce on the side. Disappointing to say the least. One of our other guests ordered the futur, aka the hot dog. The hot dog was lost in the roll. It was a regular hot dog in a big crusty roll. She said it was "boring". Last guest had the bratwurst and he said it was good. The truffle fries were delicious and so was the beer. The place is way too noisy, cant hear yourself talking to the person next to you. Sorry to give a less than glowing review. I want to give a 5 star but Im afraid I just cant at this point.

Came in for lunch on a Sunday. Left so happy and full. Great experience. The restaraunts decor is rustic but modern and clean. The service was great from the host to the server to the food runners. Everyone was so friendly and actually seemed happy to be there. We had fried cheese curds which Id highly recommend. They come with a garlic dipping sauce that I couldnt get enough of. For my entree I had the Farmers Salad. So flavorful and I was pleased to find that they didnt skimp on the duck confit at all. There were ample portions of Brussel sprouts and butternut squash mixed through and then the poached duck egg on top was the perfect finishing touch My boyfriend had the pulled pork which must have been great since I didnt get a bite. It looked messy but not so bad you dont want to bother with it. Perfect amount of sauce and topped with Apple fennel slaw. Yum yum. BEST BLOODY MARY IVE HAD IN A LONG TIME!

The food is great. My brother works here and he says there is always music playing as either a live band (there was a band when I went) or music through the speakers. I went Sunday afternoon, and they were the only place that I could hear that had any music playing from the parking lot. The only thing that I didnt like was that it seemed to take a while to get my food. Im not sure how long it took, or the cause (I was in a party of 8, Im used to being served with less people, or theyre just preparing the food longer than expected). However, theyre drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are great. They have at least 20-30 drinks (plus soda); I had the lemonade (made in the restaurant) and one of the evil genius drinks, and both were great.

We went on a Monday night which I guess is Trivia night. We preferred to eat inside since it was quite warm out. But...the noise level inside was ridiculous. We asked to move outside but were told there were not any tables available, although there seemed to be empty tables that were not bussed. Our waitress was doing her best but was servicing tables both inside and outside. It took quite awhile to get drinks and setups. And then another long wait to order. It also seemed to us that the hostess could have stepped in to help the wait staff instead of just walking around. The menu was interesting but portions were quite small for the price. We will probably not be back with the many other choices in the area.
