What happened, Angry Baker? I live a few blocks down from here and swing by to grab breakfast now and then. Yesterday, I realized itd been about two months and decided to stop in to grab myself a breakfast sandwich on my way home. Id had yummy food from here in the past, and decided to try something new from the small menu. I ordered the French Toast Sandwich. My wait was pretty long, but Im not too concerned with that - it was a Sunday, and Angry Baker is one of the few places in my neighborhood that serves breakfast. A wait was expected, and I dont have a problem waiting in exchange for good food. Unfortunately, that is not what I was waiting for. When I got it home, I found a bland, cold, flavorless sandwich in my bag. (Now you might be thinking, "Cold?! Thats to be expected! You took it to go!" Dont make that assumption, friends. I literally live 2 blocks from this bakery. Food doesnt go cold like this in 45 seconds.) The french toast was limp, and Im not even sure if I can actually call it french toast. What I was given was a piece of bread that had an incredibly thin coating of egg on it, that was riddled with massive spots of cinnamon. There would be nothing one bite, and then my mouth would suddenly be filled with an inexplicable amount of cinnamon the next. Ew to the impromptu cinnamon challenge. Once I got past the tiny amount of egg mixture? The bread hadnt soaked up the mixture at all. Instead of french toast, I had a piece of brioche with a limpy egg coating. I think I could have scrapped off the egg and reused the bread for a cold cut sandwich. And the inside of the sandwich? Not much better. When I saw "French toast sandwich with ham and swiss" I got super excited. I was thinking savory but sweet. The ham, which is supposed to be from Bluecreek Farm, tasted like it came straight out of a lunch meat container. It tasted like a weird, watered down version of ham. Where was my saltiness to go with the sweet? Why did my ham taste like ham water, and not actual meat? I have no comment on the swiss other than there was way too much of it on my sandwich. It neither added or subtracted to my bland taste excursion. I suppose that was the high point of the sandwich? That the cheese didnt suck? What happened, Angry Baker? A few months ago, I would have been more than happy to wait 20 minutes for a simple sandwich and pay 10 bucks for it. The breakfast sandwiches used to make me drool. Now I just feel like Ive been cheated. I wish I could write this off as a fluke, but Im not entirely sure Ill be back to find out. Why would I want to overpay for a sandwich I could get from a fast food place? Or make my own at home that tastes 10 times better for half the cost? Or when I can just make the commute over to North Star, pay the same price, and get a much better meal? Id love to support a bakery thats helping develop the area, but I cant throw money at a place that wont give me something good in return.

What a bummer... Cannot recommend this place based on food quality and service. Went here at noon on a Saturday, my partner and I ordered a fork and knife burrito and a BBQ bowl. All the empty tables were unbussed and covered in food crumbs. We waited for at least 30 minutes for food to arrive. My BBQ bowl (baked tofu, corn, kale, rice, beans and a ranch sauce) was completely cold except the tofu. The rice was ice old, rock hard, undercooked. The kale was in huge chunks that had to be cut and at least a week past its prime and -- tough, yellow-ish green, and with rotten bits that had to be picked out. Im a vegan cook on a road trip across the country and this was my only stop in Columbus based on positive reviews and recommendations. Wanted to order a baked good to try but was so discouraged by the quality of my entree I just left. Super disappointed.

I was really disappointed with my experience at the Angry Baker. I thought the food was over-priced and frankly, not good at all. The breakfast burrito was very bad: the beans werent cooked at all and the potatoes tasted old and as if they had been cooked in a microwave, and the whole thing was topped with so much siracha I couldnt eat the whole top layer of the burrito or the eggs on top of it. The bacon scone was fine but the large cinnamon role was extremely dry. I was so excited to try the Angry Baker but after this disappointing experience I definitely wont be going back.

The food here is a bit pricy, but there are many vegetarian/vegan-friendly options and locally sourced products. It can become quite crowded during breakfast on the weekends as the property is small and there are few tables, so many individuals choose to order their meals to-go. There is outdoor seating behind the building, where dogs are welcome. The atmosphere is pretty neat, as its a classic-style bakery with some very cute wall art. Definitely a good place to check out if youre from out of town or just looking for a quirky alternative to your ordinary breakfast chain.

Delicious food n treats , courteous service. The treats are really great. I had the sushi sandwich and was a bit underwhelmed. The soup was not good at all but I ate it anyway. My lady had the mushroom gravy and biscuits, now that was delicious. We went back again, I.had the burrito and.it was good, she had the pancakes; rich and fruity. No syrup needed a top these cakes. My favorite is watching the team work that happens. Even when incredibly busy they remain courteous and personable.

Ill get to their baked goods in a bit but first breakfast. Amazing breakfast sandwiches ...wow! Then theres the lunch offerings. I feel healthy with their fresh ingredients but the hearty taste makes me feel a little guilty. The fresh made pastries... everytime Ive come Ive walked away with an assortment of croissants, scones, muffins, and brownies. The Angry Baker makes me happy!

We were excited to have several vegan breakfast options - though a little surprised that they were out of both tofu and daiya (meaning several dishes could not be made) early on a Sunday morning. We got delicious biscuits and mushroom gravy though - so were not disappointed with the food. Service was a bit lukewarm. Not angry. Just, passively uninterested in customers.

The food and drinks here were just fine and the baked goods are great if you arrive earlier and have a good selection from them. If you arrive near their closing hours, you might find theyve closed early for the day and have a note on the door. It also gets insanely busy for such a small place so you might have to wait in a line depending on the time.

Just recently made it to Angry Baker for the first time three weeks ago and have gone back three more times since. Love the delicious vegan options on the menu board, especially the PBLT. The description made it sound good, but the sandwich exceeded my expectations. The vegan blueberry brownie is incredible, too!

The head Baker seemed to be very disoriented and mumbling at times before bursting into screaming rampages at the customers then at which time I requested a refund the man told me that he was a drunk lunatic and that even he didnt know how he got the job and completely refused my refund I will never return
