Yesterday, I went to this Publix on my lunch break to buy some mini Ben and Jerrys. I know they usually have them 10/10, so who can say no to a $1 ice cream? I grabbed four of them and went to the register. When checking out, they rang up for $1.39 instead of $1.00. I made a remark, something like, "Oh bummer, I didnt know I actually had to buy ten." (Because you know some stores, you dont HAVE to buy as many as the special tells you to...) I had already swiped my card before the cashier could react. She says, "Oh no! We need to get that fixed for you. I cant do it here, but you can go to customer care." Any time I hear customer care I hear "long lines and grumpy employees" so I told her it was okay, it was just a dollar. She stayed strong on her argument, saying they absolutely needed to fix it. Before I know whats happening, my bagging boy (yes, they have those at Publix) took my bags and carried them to customer service. He holds them the ENTIRE time while the most cheery person Ive ever encountered starts to remedy my incorrect total. He gives me $2 in cash and says, "Im really sorry this happened. We wanted to make it right, so I went ahead and gave you one of the ice creams for free!" Then, the young man holding my bags continues to carry them out the door and I realize he is about to carry them all the way to my car. I thank him a hundred times but I take the bags from him (it was just toilet paper and ice cream) and I go to my car realizing that was the best customer service Ive had in a very, very long time. Oh, he also gave me a coupon for a free cereal. Just to be extra nice. Additionally, I just want to add that Publix is never understaffed and when a cashier isnt busy, they stand at the front of the row and help direct you if you are looking for something. SERIOUSLY. Publix gets ALL of the awards.

I am overall a fan of Publix (huntersville & Cornelius location) and shop here weekly, buying for a family of 5. So we obviously spend quite a bit. I am giving this location (ive never even been to) a 1 star because I just had my acct completely emptied on a money order purchased here. Apparently this location allows criminals to use multiple cards, under multiple names for large amounts of money without requiring ID. When we contacted the store regarding this issue we were transferred around to not a manager but someone in a back office that said she could send us a copy of the reciept and that was the most she could do to help. We obviously have opened an investigation with our bank but I am very dissapointed with Publix and this store specifically regarding this. It shouldnt be that easy to steal someones money and when it happens that specific store should have a better system and customer service in dealing with the issue. I have heard many bad things about this specific location. I will never go to this store.

Clean restrooms, but the only baby changing station is in the family restroom, so if someone is in there you will just have to wait with a fussy baby until it is available. I would love if they added a second one in the regular restroom in the handicap stall or something. One time I went and it was locked completely because someone cleaned it and probably didnt want it used again (about an hour before they closed). An employee noticed my frustration and got a manager to unlock it for me to change my son. They were really sweet about it, so that redeemed my experience. Employees are usually friendly, their Aprons station always has something delicious to sample while you shop. Good selection on just about everything. Navigating the parking garage is a bit stressful to me at times. Overall a pretty good experience.

Had a fraudulent transaction from this publix, apparently someone stole our information along with multiple other people and purchased money orders from this store. We were told by the clerk at this store that they arent allowed to ask for identification and that they dont question suspicious transactions. We also asked if they were going to file a police report or take any action to identify the other people that were victimized in this transaction and they told us that is not something they do. They said that those other people would need to find out about the charges on their own and pursue it. Publix corporate was great though! And told us that this publix was full of it. I would stay clear of this store as it seems to be a magnet for criminal activity.

This location in my opinion is a bit rude and disrespectful. Me and my family decided to check out this place because we were locking to get some lamb chops, they did have them which was great but the service took a very long time which i understand because they did have to cut up the lamb which made me happy it was fresh. On the way out I felt completely unwanted in the facility. Me and my family walked up to the ice cream stand and wanted to try some ice cream i was very offended when he young man helping us started to laugh at us, i noticed him and another co-worked shaking their heads and sharing some sort of inside joke while I was trying to be helped. With that being said i will not be returning to that location of publix.

I shop mostly in the natural/specialty section of any grocery store for dietary reasons. I find it very annoying that here they have decided not to have a specialty section and spread all the items (gluten-free, vegetarian, organic, natural, or whatever) out across the store. I have to travel the whole store searching for the things I want across every aisle. It makes my usually short shopping trip into an excruciatingly long one. My question to Publix: Why did you not think of this? If your intention is more impulse buying, shame on you. This just makes me want to shop somewhere else where its quicker and easier to find what I want. Sorry, Publix, youve been my favorite chain until now.

The staff are really friendly here and they seem to have ample checkout lanes open whenever Im there. The produce section is pretty good, but sometimes the apples are kinda beaten up. They dont have as wide a range of products as the Harris Teeter on East, but its a smaller store and I probably wouldnt notice if they had the almond/coconut milk and crusty bread I like. The shopping baskets are stacked throughout the store which is convenient when you go in for one item and end up with an armful of things, but no baskets at the door, which can be a hassle. The store is super-clean. Returns policy is good too...I returned an opened bottle of wine and got a refund and a smile, no problems.

Publix is usually an outstanding grocery store with exceptional quality in prepared foods and top notch customer service. This particular one has not hit its stride yet, as about half of the time it is not the best experience. Management has gone above and beyond at times to provide a corrective experience, but I dont always want to make a big deal out of bad service. It gets old. That being said, it still gets four stars because it is definitely better than three! I would go here anytime I was near South End if I needed a grocery store.
