Egg Bomb...The servers, who are different and indifferent every week, dont know their menu which is too pricey for the extensive waits (despite the lack of customers) and forget to include egg in an Egg Sandwich. The cook comes out the kitchen gets specific instructions on how to cook an egg "over-medium" and still schleps out an runny or raw egg explosion which ruined a wool sweater, and totaled to a $24 dry cleaner bill. Now I understand why the spotty hours. Egg Head owner who misspells Dam (NED) Cafe cant afford the overhead. Not worth the wait, not worth risk!

Those of you who have to write negative reviews need to get labotomys! Maybe the food, service, & the name of the restaurant would be to his/her satisfaction then! HA! From personal experience it is not easy to run any type of restaurant, keep staff, and make appetizing food that suits everyone. If you dont like the name of the restaurant because "you say it is misspelled and another doesnt like the food , and another complains of service.......This is what I have to say: GO EAT AT HOME, LEARN HOW TO SPELL, AND SHUT UP! Thanks for reading......... =)

I really like to eat at a local restaurant. The corned beef sandwiches, Ruben, Marshall are my favorites. The quality of corned beef however varies greatly. Sometimes the large amount of fat in the meat is just left in the sandwich. Apparently no trimming off of excess fat is done. Absolutely repulsive. Somedays they slice it nicely thin. Most Sundays it is like big chunks of fatty inedible meat. Hoping they read this and fix it. I am having real difficulty going back.

Ive had great experiences at the Dam Cafe and have brought many friends there for lunch. Ive never been disappointed. Its what I expect -- a place where you order at a counter and sit down and have good food. I dont know why people are complaining about service when its not a full service restaurant. My favorite sandwich is the "Oscar", generous roast beef with roasted peppers and onions and horseradish sauce. I get it on the grilled ciabatta bread. Its delicious!

Great cafe. Great food and a really good place to meet for business. And its a LOCAL business. Only down side is they have very slow internet. It makes it almost impossible to get work done that requires strong connectivity. Would be 5 stars otherwise! (Had to disconnect from their wifi to write this review.) My colleagues no longer wish to meet here as a result of the slow connectivity.

THe servers were very rude. They were not busy and acted very annoyed because there was a mistake in my order. I even apologized for maybe having a confusing order and they were still rude!! This place used to be amazing . They used to even cut strawberries and wrap them pretty. NOw your lucky if they dont throw them at you. terrible service!!!!!

The Dam cafes central location and hearty grub make this Holyoke eatery a prime fixture on every locals breakfast itinerary. The service, however, can be spotty at times. On more than one occasion, this reviewer was faced with a perplexing mystery that no diner ever likes to face: "where is the X I ordered?"

This place has decent food but the service is terrible. I ordered a cold turkey sandwich at a time when there was hardly anybody there and it took almost 20min to come out. The "homemade" chips that came with it tasted like fish, no doubt because they are not changing frying oil.

This place is the best place in my neighborhood for breakfast. They serve lunch and dinner as well and its been excellent. The staff is always courteous and seems to bend over backwards to please their guests. I will continue to support The Dam Cafe.

Good food and good coffee. Service is a little slow I am guessing because everything is made to order. They have coconut coffee one of my favorites.

DC participates in a coffee card program, has tasty naked goods, and an extensive beer selection. The only thing missing is an open mic night!

Wonderful breakfast joint. Cool, laid back atmosphere. The overloaded home fries live up to their name. Bring a friend and split it!
