I was just called out on writing a review so I looked it was posted by a Jonathan C. Tardiff, I however am Jonathan L. Tardiff so let this review be very clear.... I love the food, but the service Sucks!!! Rocco is the one who suffers for he is the one in the kitchen sweating his heart out every night.. I called today because I respected the hard work of the restaurant and the food, but after I was called out on someone elses review that someone posted over 2 years ago and wasnt me.. I guess I wont go back either.. I will agree with the other person, I have been told several times to order something else because the fryolator isnt on for the Chix parm ect.... Ive sent my mother into Tesoros only for her to be told the same thing, now this is at 12:00 middle of lunch hour.. Its a shame that the owners confused me with someone else and decided to call me out because I was a loyal patron, not anymore.. I was making a special trip from Rockland to go there.. I dont think they want or need my business or anyone elses for that matter... A shame...

We were traveling home and saw this restaurant on our maps app. Looked ok from the outside but once inside, I found the hostess/cashier/owner? to be very unfriendly actually downright rude. The ladies restroom was questionable. My first thought was that Im ok as long as I do not touch anything. Once back at the table, we ordered pizza. I watched the cook remove a pizza and while it was out on what seems to be the topping area, the cashier/hostess/owner was assisting him and eating from the same area/sucking her fingers. Makes one wonder if she was eating from the pie. At that point it did not matter if the food was good or not. Found the pizza adequate at best. The walls were dirty near the booths. Overall a very bad eating experience. Would not recommend to the hungry traveler. The owner must realize they are in a service business. Negative 1 star.

Dark scarey dining area, old dirty and in desperate need of repair. Flies are a constant annoyance. Food is bland and lacks creativity. The lady is rude and cant take a credit or debit card, cash only. Unless your wearing a suit in which case she will kiss your butt. But if you look like you work for a living dont expect a warm welcome. I dont think she realizes how much her attitude hurts her business. I didnt feel welcome or appreciated as a customer. Maybe they were the cats meow 20 years ago but the fun and excitement fizzled out for her years ago...too bad. There arent alot of nice area to take a date that arent just corporate monkey like Olive Garden. Tesoros has promise but utterly failed to deliver in even the most modest sense, a decent dining experience.

Want to go where "people know your name" and make you feel special with lots of good Italian food? Here is the place. It is a great neighborhood restaurant. The garlic nuts that come with the bread basket are addictive. The food is a great value and they give enough to feed 2 people. The house wine is reminiscent of the formica table top restaurants in Atlantic City. Note: this is not gourmet place with an extensive wine list. It is for people looking for good food at reasonable prices in a family atmosphere. It does not cost much so you should tip a high percentage to make up for the great prices and friendly service.

Furtunata ("Furtune") and Rocko (who own Tesoros) are both really nice people. They remember what you like and they make you feel like family (maybe not your family, but their family). Furtune is a strong, boisterous woman who will welcome you by name and as you about your day from across the restaurant. Rocko stays in the back making delicious food and the BEST PIZZA IN THE COUNTY. If youre looking for a real family-style, delicious meal that will please anyone, this is the place to go. But go in before 7, because they close at 8 and Furtune is not afraid to kick you out, haha!

Been a customer there for a long time.. Never will go back, Service is the worst in Bangor! I have never seen people in a small business so independent! Their attitude plain out sucks! I have been told for the last time either order what is on the menu or dont order !!! In this economy they should be happy for any business that walks through the door!! Granted their food beats other Italian places and price but I simply cannot stomach the poor attitude any longer, especially when I recommend my family and friends there and they are treated with such disrespect!!!!

First visit 4.5.16, ordered via phone, was ready in thirty minutes. No tiramisu available, so I had chocolate cake. Ordered baked ravioli. Hand written signs on doors indicate cash only and restrooms for patrions only. One of the owners waited on me. She was somewhat standoffish, but at the end of the transaction, she smiled and told me to hold my order by the bottom. The meal was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS, not sure how Ive missed this place having lived here my whole life. Will return with fiance for dine in next time!

We eat @ Tesoros often , Love it and the food is exceptional. It is our "date nite," a place where we can eat, relax and have a delicious meal prepared and served by the best people in the business. Bangor is so fortunate to have Rocco and Fortunata and their Staff who work so hard to serve a Hot, and truly exceptional meal. AND IT DOES NOT BREAK THE BANK. One can come home relaxed, filled up and very well satisfied every time. Thank you for your kindness, caring and delicious food !!

Horrible, bad lighting, old, & overwhelming burnt smell hits you in the face when you walk in. Rude lady!! When ask about the alfredo she said they ran out. How do you run out of alfredo? Asked if their pasta is homemade, she said, "its not." My friend & I walked out. Cant believe people put up with this horrible service & dump of a place. Cant image the food is that exceptional!

How rude and unwelcoming. Be warned they are a cash only establishment. They directed us to the nearest atm (a 5 block walk). After making the walk the friendly employee threw the silverware and menus on the table and said "oh, yeah... Were closing early tonight in 30 minutes". So... Cant say how the food was but no pizza is worth the rudeness!

Amazing food, great atmosphere, and unbeatable affordability. The pizza is a cloud of heavenly wonder; beware of the garlic knots--you will want to eat and eat them before your dinner comes. The baked ziti, penne, and desserts are wonderful to eat. Kudos for the Peroni beer, my husbands favorite. I love Tesoro and cannot wait to go back!
