We came down to Louisville to meet up with our daughter who is serving in the military. Since it was also her birthday we wanted to take her out to dinner so she chose Italian food. What a great place. We went here in a Sunday, no reservations and we were taken right away. We sat outside and it was very pleasant and comfortable with the ceiling fans. They have a large selection of wines to choose from if you wish to order. Our waiter, Arthur, was very nice and explained how the foods were prepared and could be made to order. Home made bread and dipping oil was served, too. We shared a prosciutto melon appetizer which was perfect for three. I had the veal parm, my wife a chicken dish, my daughter the shrimp pappardelle. Plenty of food for everyone. They then surprised the birthday girl with a peanut butter, fudge, ice cream pie that was spectacular. What a great experience. Thanks!!

My wife and I have wanted to go to Martini for quite a while, but only recently had the opportunity. We were able to be seated quickly and our server was very attentive. She made great drink recommendations and we enjoyed our bourbon martinis (which were on special). Our house salad was great! Things were looking good. Then our entrees came out. Fast. Too Fast. As in "they probably reheated something old" fast, and that is exactly how it tasted. My eggplant was tough and took lots of work to cut through the skin (the flavor was ok). My wife had chicken Milanese and that chicken had to have been sitting in a fridge for a week or so. It just tasted stale. Pasta was a tad overcooked too. Maybe I just caught them on an off night. I know this place is often packed, but if the food is always that bad I have no idea why. I certainly wont be returning any time soon.

Worst New Years Party ever!!!! I will generously start out that the food and service was initially good, but everyone was freezing and putting on their coats. So much for the expensive party dress! Then, at 11:00 pm, the regular waiters went home and couldnt get a drink, for like 30 minutes. Not even at the bar! The worst part was the DJ! If he started playing a good song, he would cut it off right in the middle, and play a different song with a change of beat. to which the dancers would all moan and booed. Some songs were played on a fast forward pace. Some songs had X rated lyrics, and there were a handful of 9 to 11 year old kids present. The people that came, were ready to dance, but the place started clearing out at 12:15. Guess I should I mention the thimble full of horrible chanpagne!?! Worst New Years Party EVER!!!!!.

Martini is awesome, the servers are very knowledgeable and excellent at what they do. Jim Davis, the former general manager, purchased martini from Cameron Mitchell restaurants on 11.1.11 and every since, quality has continued to increase. The bar is an awesome place to hang out. Theyve added a baby-grand piano which provides the bar with exceptional live music on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The menu of martinis is HUGE, with a little something for everyone. Theyre only 5 bucks all night on Mondays, and from 4-7 tues-Thursday. From start to finish, eating a meal here is money well spent. Portions are large and the food always comes out hot and in a timely fashion at which the server will offer to top off your dish with as much fresh parmesan cheese as you want. I love this place. Dont miss out on eating at martini.

Stopped in for dinner and drink on the way home about 5:15. Bar area was 1/2 full. Bartender gives me a wine menu. She comes back for me to order... I start ordering and some jackass at the end of the bar calls her by name and says, "Im gonna need another beer before you take her order." Im mid-sentence ordering. She promptly turns around and walks away to go "fetch his beer like a good little girl would!" Then I guess she forgot what she was doing before he rudely interrupted and she rudely walked away while I was ordering. She went to another table and got them a second round. I hope her "regulars tip amazingly well" because I got up and left. I will give my 30% to a server/bartender that deserves it! Thanks Mercato Italiano for being open on Mondays!!!

My wife and I went for lunch to Martinis. Personally, I didnt find the complimentary bread very tasty, but that is only a minor qualm. We each ordered a pasta entree- - one shrimp dish and one prosciutto pesto dish. When my wifes dish arrived, there were only 4 shrimp in her pasta. The shrimp were fine, but I dont typically pay $12 for 4 shrimp. Her sauce was watered-down and terribly bland. The dish should be called noodles in water sauce. My dish had the same unfortunate distinction. It was if they only had enough sauce left for 1 person but had to split it between 12 people. I will never eat at Martinis again. Sadly, McDonalds would make for a better meal.

I have been here two times both have been absolutely terrible. I ordered the Pasta Rosa, the first and second visit...Supposedly there house favorite I dont see how any human could consume this trash.. the chicken was tasteless and hard to chew, dont know if it was frozen or re-heated but i didnt eat it, the server did not even return to ask if everything was alright. Sorry to say it but olive garden is much better and cheaper. The only positive part about the experience was the drinks, they were amazing but sadly i can not return to this place due to how poorly the food was both times. Cant say i did not give this place a chance... Oh well..

Ive eaten here twice and both meals were amazing. The first was a prix fixe menu for a party, so amazing we scheduled a trip back to dine from the main menu. Chicken Carbonara is tremendous. The Tuscan Ribeye is no slouch either! The drinks hold their own as well. Service during second trip was lax on the waiters part, but the maitre D and chef made up for it by following up with us. The only item that needs attention is the bread - it has a bitter bite to it, which is acceptable, but the crust of the bread is not toasted crisp enough. Regardless, the bread will not keep me from visiting again.

The Glutenfree Gals never miss an opportunity to eat at Martinis when passing through. Actually, we make a point to schedule travel so that we can eat there. The excellent chefs can modify most any menu item so we are big fans. The veal Parmesan remains my favorite as it is doubled battered and served with gluten free pasta. Delicious!!! We never leave hungry. We never leave with anything to take home either. We will be back in October and look forward to more great Italian foods.

Well we had heard about the food and the ambience and boy did it live up to our expectations. It was decided to use Martinis as a venue for a large family gathering and special occasion, with several members flying from the United Kingdom. Having personally travelled and eaten all around the world, from Hong Kong to London, we were not disappointed. The staff were extremely attentative to our requirements and the food was outstanding! Well done to all concerned.
