Jennys is a standard on the TLH homegrown breakfast circuit. Its a VERY inexpensive way to enjoy the thriving megalopolis that is our city. Setting, props and lighting play backup roles to the lead actors coming from the kitchen. Usual suspects on the menu along with some creative wraps. The kitchen itself is a marvel in diminution. Essentially a studio-apartment sized kitchen (I.e, the size of a kitchen inside a studio apartment!), this meager square footage consistently bangs out completed dishes for a packed restaurant. When weather is good, there are four additional four-tops outdoors so it can get weeded here. Service is swift - partly due to how compact everything is. Guests walk in to effectively the drinks station, pass the counter and three tables in the process - and "arrive" in the main body of the dining area. All tables are essentially two-tops repurposed as 4,5 and even six tops. (I have sat with five others at one of the two tables beneath the great mural). Jennys is one of my favorite breakfast spots (Ill wager Ive been here over 100 times - and not once for lunch). You could get most of the menu items anywhere else (most, not all) but it wouldnt be the same. Theres something prosaic, if not poetic, in being at the corner of Magnolia & Tennessee with coffee, The Democrat, rye toast, and a spinach/mushroom omelette that just does it for me time and again.

This was my first time eating here and I brought two friends along with me.I placed a to go order with Bianca and was told it would take 10 minutes. The wait was actually 25 because Bianca did something wrong. I witnessed several people who came after my arrival get their food before me. Once the food was finished the cook suggested to Bianca that she compensate us for our unnecessarily long wait. Bianca refused to do so. This restaurant has some good employees, but the waitress Bianca is unprofessional! I will never eat here again and I will make sure to tell everyone I know to never spend their money here since word of mouth holds alot of value. Bianca needs to be fired or written up because she is a liability to this small business. You never know who a customer really is and what they have the power to do.

I wanted to eat at this place so badly, but it fell short of my expectations. The breakfast sandwich was delicious, but when we got the french toast, it was burnt. They didnt bring out our grits. When we walked in, the servers were all talking to each other. It took a few minutes for them to even acknowledge we walked in and tell us what to do since we didnt know if we sat ourselves or not. The service was awful as well. It took forever for them to come refill our drinks, give us our food, and just check on us in general. We had to ask another server for the check. Bad service and burnt food. I hope that the next time I pay them a visit, its not this bad.

This place was recommended to me and now every chance I get, I literally eat here as much as I can! Everything Ive tried thus far is EXCELLENT! Very inexpensive but good quality! You will be STUFFED after you eat here as their portions are not small (lol) the only thing I dislike is the grits. Idc how many times I try the grits, they are just not good (lol). Small restaurant that packs mighty punch! This place is awesome! Parking lot is small but thats normal bc every one comes here bc the food is delicious! Oh, the waiters are pretty nice and tentative as well!

I was here in Tallahassee and just happened to stop in here for breakfast. EXCELLENT COFFEE - which is unusual for a breakfast place! Most breakfast shops dont get it when it comes to coffee! Its the first thing 90% of your clientele tastes....and the last before they leave. The croissant sandwich was delicious with turkey sausage and the hash browns were perfect as well! Next time I am in Tally.....I will be having breakfast here.

Wish I could give it more than 5 stars. Great food at a great value. If youre getting there following google maps directions, there are entrances off Tennessee and Magnolia (for some reason, the map app wanted me to turn down Magnolia and then do a u-turn to get here). Vegetarian friendly (i.e. meat substitute available). And they serve Lucky Goat coffee. Awesome place to grab a great prices breakfast!!

If your a vegetarian and you miss a good sausage patty, go to jennys and ask for the breakfast sandwich with a veggie patty on a biscuit. Its the only place youll find it They have pretty good home fries and pancakes too! Not so much parking, and some of the male servers arent the best, that said all of the ladies know what they are doing, and the service is always friendly!

Believe it or not, Ive never had breakfast here. And its still good. I have this thing against eating breakfast at any time of the day that is not breakfast, so I have never had their breakfast menu, but have had their lunch menu. The amazing thing is the size of their kitchen. The place is like a crackerbox - how such good food comes out of that place, we may never know.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR THEIR BREAKFAST!! Good pricing for a reeeaaallly great meal! VERY inexpensive... I paid 11.¢¢ for 2 eggs, 2 (real) bacon strips, hash browns (some of the best Ive had at a restaurant in a long time!), 2 pieces of toast, and an addition of French toast (the thick bread slices) with extra powdered sugar and water for my drink. WORTH! IT!!

Local eatery with great friendly staff, highly recommend the build your own omelette. Cozy and family friendly, near Leon High School and the Tallahassee Democrat. Limited parking up top, but a second parking lot is right below the restaurant. Fantastic cooks always do the hash browns perfectly, and it has a Tallahasseean charm about it.

Friendly service, great tasting food (especially the pancakes and bacon). There was a bit of egg shell in my scrambled eggs, but not a huge deal. When I told the serve, she says shed let the folks in the kitchen know to change out the bowl. Outdoor eating atmosphere is about what youd expect being on the corner of a busy intersection.
