Have only eaten here twice. First time everything was fantastic, great staff and good food. Today is Easter Sunday, but there was no wait which I found odd for a diner. Started with Coffee and Fried Mushrooms. Coffee was off. I drink it black so it wasnt bad cream. I ordered The Cowbow: chicken fried steak, eggs and hash browns. Came out way too fast. I could taste uncooked batter on the steak. Hash browns were so undercooked they were still cold and crunchy. Sunny side eggs were about half clear whites. Wife ordered OJ and The Valley: 2 eggs, sausage patty and french toast. Patty cooked on just one side, scrambled eggs were wet and the french toast was clearly cook on only one side. I told my server, who never introduced herself, and she said Iris would handle it. They took $2.49 off my $30 order. I dont know if this was a change of management since the first time we ate there a year ago but one is needed. I ate at Ronnies Cafe on 43rd and Cactus a couple weeks ago and could not have been happier. I gave Peoria Cafe a chance to save myself drive. I wont make that mistake again.

I always look forward to breakfast at Peoria Cafe. The building just had face lift and I noticed interior upgrades also. I give it a 10+. Not because they always say hello and serve some of the best food in town, because its relaxing to enjoy a meal and know Im appreciated as a customer! I always find a place to park or put the kickstand down, by the time I walk through the doors there is a place to sit. If I want, I can help myself to the coffee bar and relax before my order is taken. Something else I enjoy is watching the meals being prepared by the skilled staff. One if not two of the owners are always checking things out. High quality meals and outstanding service at great prices! See you at Peoria Cafe, Ill take honey in my coffee please :-).

I called to ask what was on the menu because their menu was being updated online. The guy who answered was extremely rude and unprofessional. I asked if he could give me a rundown of the breakfast menu. He responded "Im not going to read you the whole menu." I informed the guy that he is losing a customer and he responded "ok," and hung up the phone. I really hope this guy is not one of the owners. I enjoy supporting local restaurants and would have checked out your restaurant. After this disrespect I will not be visiting. The phone call was made at 1145 am on Friday 4/16. Please speak to this employee about proper phone etiquette and how to treat customers.

We love going here. The food is fabulous for the price. The service, however, has gotten progressively worse in the 1.5 years weve frequented the restaurant. We tend to go rather early, so there is never a wait and the servers are not very busy. Yet somehow we can never find someone to take our order when were ready, refill coffees, bring our check, or a box. This morning we got asked if we were ready to order, but hadnt even been given a menu yet. Cant say enough positive about the food, but the wait staff seems to be lacking. What should be a 45 minute visit easily turns into an hour plus.

The owners are great but the waitress we had was horrid! It seemed we were interrupting her day by being there. I had heard a lot about how good the place was and took my daughter and granddaughter for breakfast, never again. The waitress was rude and we had to go out to eat after eating there because the portions were so small. The potatoes were mushy and unedible. If you want your monies worth go to The Place on Bell and and 51st or Alexi`s on the corner of 19th ave and Union Hills..the staff at Alexi`s is like eating at your mothers, and the portions are perfect.

Went for breakfast on a weekday. Restaurant was a good size and includes an outdoor patio. Menu says it has the best pancakes. I am a pancake lover so I ordered and thought they were tasty but cannot say they were the best I have ever had. The prices were reasonable. My waitress was friendly but a little slow with refilling coffee. Also a guy came in saying he waited on the patio for a while and no one ever came to get his order. Their Friday Fish Fry is great. Cooked fresh. Comes with cole slaw and your choice of potato. Overall I recommend trying Peoria Cafe.

We met some friends there today for breakfast. First of all the service was great. I ordered one the specials of the day "Works Omelet"....simply incredible and so much food I couldnt finish it. i notice some reviews said the food was blase...really? They cook with minimum of salt and people so folks can season to taste. My breakfast was anything but blase and for under $8 for an omelet half the size of the plate and a portion of home fries that took up the rest of the space and more than enough to feed 2 adults....highly recommend

This place was a joke! The waitress was very absent minded, and the food was subpar to say the least. This waitress had no clue about her menu. I never got my toast. My wife asked twice for a side of chocolate syrup. The gravy was bland. The home fries were not home fries. There are a million other great breakfast restaurants around here. Guess thats what we get for trying something new. Try haymakers, the place, biscuits, or black bear diner. Those places serve great breakfast.

Coffee tasted funny. I think this diner has very good seating but for the price they charge, the quality of the food sucks. there are other diners out there with better quality and same price. This place seems like it got worried about getting big quick and forgot about the quality of food. Itll be a decent option but was still missing that diner feel. This place feels like a regular IHOP or dennys. I couldve just gone there and got that quality that I know.

Wow. We found our new Sunday breakfast place. So cheap and portions are huge. I ordered a 3 stack of pancakes and they were the size of the large plate! And under $5!!! My husband got the garbage omelet and it is loaded with all the meats and eggs...enough for 2-3 people. Our bill was under $20 for 2 adults and a toddler. It gets crowded so you need to be comfortable with people but not a long wait any time weve gone.

The people are very friendly and it is comfort food to the eyes but everything was super bland even the sausage had no flavor. I out so much salt and pepper on EVERYTHING, (gravy, grits, eggs), just trying to coax some kind of flavor out of the food to no avail..$30 for 2 breakfasts was a little steep in my opinion...
