Been here 6 times, this is my first review of the place. Good place to gather for friends, family, and small informal birthday parties. They have the only beer battered fish & chips around here have had them several times, various meat pies, and shepards pie too. The beer flights are a good price, and they have many beers & ciders to chose from. I just wish the vibe of the place was better. Maybe have bar games or a dart board that would be fun with happy hour drinks or something... anything please Im begging you... we need a good English/Irish/local hangout that serves drinks, song, and food to hold its ground in this depressing time of need. Note to management: If you care... I hate to do bad reviews but... The Mayo in the coleslaw was off, not a laughing matter. But I will give you another chance at the fish & chips, just because they are the only beer battered fish & chips around here that are half way decent. The vibe of the place could be better more upbeat & friendly, its just passing as a local hang out. The place could be cleaner. The last time we were here the front doors & floor & tables were sticky, and a dusting of the walls & decor could also be done. There also seems to be a lack of attention from the management staff, or caring? I have also seen management or owner sitting at bar complaining & giving the staff a hard time. What? Is there no back office? Get your act together. Thanks, the concerned public.

A small group of senior citizens from a retirement community visited this place on July 18, 2015 including my mother. She ordered the liver and onions and it was the only meal she at that day. Later that evening we believe she experienced food poisoning from the meal at this pub. She began to feel very sick and nauseous. About a half hour later she began shaking saying she was having very cold chills followed by what I can only describe as violent vomiting followed by dry heaves. This would continue all night until the early morning and there was nothing to do but ride out the storm so to speak. It is now Monday, she feels somewhat better and can at least drink water but believe me this was a most awful experience for an 82 yr old woman. I want the owner to be responsible enough to at least conduct an audit of the restaurant. I would recommend at the very least a review the practices on cleanliness and food preparation as well as examining any equipment used to keep meat at the right temperature. I am sure you know your business but you failed miserably in my eyes to keep a patron safe. We are not asking for any recompense or free service. Merely that no one else go through what my mother had to endure.

This place is SEVERELY UNDERSTAFFED. Dont go unless, you want bad service with horrible attitudes. It took 15 minutes to get the bartender/waitress to my area, because, they were servicing the entire restaurant. After I was finished, I had to leave promptly. I motioned every way I could and, the staff member knew I needed assistance from her acknowledgement gaze. However, the bartender served other people before she would even print out the check. Gabby is her name, and she had a horrible attitude. This is not withstanding this visit. I have been a couple times before and the service is beyond bad. Quite frankly, Im surprised that the owner of this establishment still has the money to pay for the rent. Dana Park is a nice place. Staff, or understaff, should take "The Harp" out of business soon. The Harp belongs in Places youd like to visit but never will

Food was absolutely delicious (best cooked medium rare steak Ive had)! Reason for 2 stars: Service was horrible!!! The place was almost empty, except the bar (football), but service was ridiculously slow. Water glasses went empty and were left that way until we were almost ready to leave. Our server forgot to put in the dessert order, but wouldnt admit it and blamed it on being busy. We were never asked how everything was. Our party was 4 adults with 2 children (and 2 babies). We ordered 6 meals, but we were charged a "service fee" that was not small because of our "large group". We went because of my parents recommendation about the food (Which was amazing), but after going with my parents today, I can say that none of us will be back and we will tell everyone we know about the poor service and extra fees for families.

Im writing this while sitting in here. I did try calling before hand to see when the kitchen closes. No one picked up. I walked in and all wait staff were sitting at a table. I stood there for a couple of minutes before the waitress got up and came to me. She said she would follow me to a table of my choice. I sat down and a male waiter comes up and gets my drink order at 9:42pm. Its now 10:25 p.m I have not seen my waiter and two waitstaff has walked passed me without asking how Im doing. Still havent been able to order my food because there is no waiter. The Yelp reviews are pretty accurate with this place. Im a store manager and this place has terrible customer service!! Getting close to an hour without my waiter, Im pretty sure I could walk out without paying for my drink.

Came here for a Mother Daughter dinner. A nice place Fresh and neatly kept! The menu is very enticing... Drink selection is great and the overall environment is relaxing! We ordered fish and chips and a Bangers and Mash. The food was very very good! The service on the other hand was from start to finish good, to being annoyed at us. We were not part of the norm crown Im sure but hoped not to get the reaction of that :( We ordered an appetizer that got missed, that could be an honest mistake, it did trickle down to the tip and the server was not impressed with a little more than 10% tip but we had dealt with our damper on service and felt that it was fair. If you fit in here you will have it made, "Great Place".

Second time I have come here. Both experiences not good.Bartender has NO people skills what so ever furthermore my wine came to 7.57 I thought it said 7.52.Bartender so I gave $10.52 he asked if I needed change. I said yes.He brought back 2.95 .When I told him I gave him the loss change amount he said no it was a nickel short. Then said give me a nickel and i will give you back $3 instead of $2.95.Guess what, he was going to still get a $2 tip even though he never even spoke to me for a hr.But after the nickel crap he got a dollar. Im in the biz that the only reason i didnt leave him

For starters, its a pub, so youd expect it to be a little rough around the edges. And, maybe that tends to set your expectations low for the food, but Ive been here several times and each time I havent been disappointed. The food is well prepared and they have a lot of options. The pub has changed hands over the years and I hear it may have new management again, so I just hope they dont change the quality of the food or service (unless they aim to somehow make it better). Id give it 5 stars, but the restroom is in pretty bad shape & needs to be remodeled.
