I had a terrible experience at this restaurant with my child , the waiter and the cook that claimed he was the owner and I believe hes because he was extremely rude were so des respectful , the order for my child came wrong what made him more stressed out after waiting almost 20min for the meal. The food was not so good after all. By the time I got up to pay my bill the owner was aggressive to me to the point that we had an argument. During the argument a costumer ( product of gentrification in Harlem ) start yelling to defend the restaurant what made my son extremely stressed to the point my child asked him to stop talking. I left with a bad feeling , wanted to trow up and my son was still hungry because his burger was so small. It was horrible, I will never go back to this place again , Ive lived in Harlem for about 25 years and never went trough this was the WORSE !

The food was decent but for some odd reason, the waitress there acted rather uncouth towards me. I rarely go there but this was the second time they seemed to dislike my presence (another woman there acted the same way towards me). Kind of a turnoff and thankfully, the food is not good enough to make me want to go back there. Its so strange though because the first time I went there (back in 2006), the server there was extremely nice but this new lady is just bleh.

First Spanish restaurant that I see give 3 pieces of meat... I was so hungry but whe I saw the food I my hunger went away it wasnt appealing I just gave the food to my mom and cooked my own.. Dont ever order stew beef nor stew chicken because you will get three little pieces for your order.. service is ok but serving wise take out no..kid you not this was a waste of money I rather go to Caridad on 145th on broadway where you get your monies worth

I love La Cocinita Latina, i order from this place practically everyday for breakfast, lunch and diner . The pricing is perfectly pocket friendly and the food meets all expectation and more . If i had to complain about one thing , it would just be that the "panini" sandwich isnt really a "panini" but simply a hoagie . So they should probably get a panini press and make paninis or take it off the menu.

Used to order delivery from here all the time when I still lived in this neighborhood. Delivery was always fast. Never had any issues. Food was always good. I LOVE THE CHEESE EMPANADAS. I cannot tell you how sad I am that these empanadas are no longer in my life!! I cant find cheese empanadas anywhere where I live now.

I gladly overpaid for the Spanish Oatmeal (Avena) as often as I could. It was pricey but delicious. The ladies who work the counter are friendly to the regulars but they do take a minute to warm up. I imagine the rest of the food is good as well. I really stuck to the oatmeal in the a.m.

Stumbled upon this place and its a fantastic neighborhood joint with very friendly earth goddess Caribbean women working. The food is hearty, fresh, inventive and huge portions. Try the chipotle chicken salad and the Dominican breakfast. Best value in NYC.
