They stop serving way before the advertised closing time. At least 3 times I had to return without getting the bread I wanted to buy as they closed 15-30 minutes before the closing time. They also do not serve you dinner during that time but only take out. Maybe that is the reason it is always empty during the last hour. Definitely not a good customer service from a big company. Boudin is not a mom and pop shop and we expect a consistent service from them just like any other big restaurants

Had the soup and sandwich and both were excellent. The clam chowder was in a sourdough bread bowl and my turkey and havarti sandwich was also on sourdough. Nice place with nice decor. Unfortunately, the acoustics at these restaurants is not very good and trying to have a conversation without shouting is difficult. They have outdoor seating, but it is facing a busy street so thats not very quiet either. Food is excellent, worth putting up with the noise, so go eat.

Good place to get your fill of SF. French bread. They serve soup in a bread bowl. They serve salads, cold and hot sandwiches, hamburgers and more. They serve beer, soda and fresh brewed ice tea. The service is great, the place is well kept and clean. The inside is fantastic...looks like a fancy restaurant but without the high prices..good job Boudin SF

Fresh food with many yummy options. Im partial to the rustic tomato soup in a sourdough bread bowl (of course!). Theres always lots of seating, including outdoors. Edited to add: I highly recommend joining their loyalty program. You get a free loaf of bread every month and accrue points for every dollar you spend.

The service was good, and the food was great. However, there seemed to be a lack of communication between employees as when the cashier left to use the restroom, a customer came up to the register, but it took a minute or two before any employee took the customers order.

Love their butternut squash soup. I wish they had more than two hot sandwich options. Also, in half soup and half sandwich combo, one can get cold sandwiches only. Service is pretty good. It still looks new, though it opened more than a year ago I think.

Great food, always fresh, interesting new healthy options always appear on the menu. Sometimes during the busy times the upkeep of clean tables and swept floors gets overlooked, but in general this place gives great value for wonderful food.

One of my favorite place for a relaxed meal. Clean, good service, fresh delicious foods.
