Bean Juice is a pleasant place to sit and talk,and the coffee was decent, but the food leaves much to be desired. I ordered a panini sandwich which cost almost $5, and what I got was half a sandwich made with really inferior focaccia and not much in the line of ingredients. The people I was with felt similarly about the food--really small portions of lousy food( gloopy soup, blah sandwiches). I would not eat there again for any reason.

The coffee drinks and chai can be spot on or a bit weak depending on the day and who makes it. Its a nice place but a bit inconsistent in how things taste. I also think its worth noting that now Bean Juice is actually one of two coffee shops in La Crosse that have an in-house roaster. Cabin Coffee Co. downtown at the corner of 4th St. & Jay St. also roasts on-site and sells some awesome beans.

Cant describe a bad experience, because Ive never had one. Great place to meet a friend for coffee. When every sip between chat is most pleasurable and makes me forget what I was saying or what we were talking about, you know the coffee is good!

Such a great coffee shop - Ive been here a half dozen times and its consistently peaceful and tasty. The billy goat sandwich is amazing and the coffee is well-roasted every time.

THEY ROAST THEIR OWN COFFEE and when the roaster is going, the smell is enveloping. Dont forget to go next door for chocolates.
