There is definitely potential here (good location, scenic view of the lake, some good bits of food) but this place is being grossly mismanaged right now. If the owner has an outside manager, they need to fire them. If the owner is also acting as the manager, they need to hire a manager who knows what they are doing. We walk in primetime on a Saturday night at ~6pm. There are only 4 or 5 tables with people. The hostess goes to seat us and only has 1 menu available for my wife and I and no kids menu available for my son. Not a great start. The waitress comes over after several minutes of waiting and takes our food order and doesnt ask us anything about drinks. It turns out it is her second day on the job and she is already thrown in the deep end without someone to train her or shadow. The food overall was good and the waitress did her best to keep us happy. No complaints with her effort but she was just clearly new. At the end, we get the bill. We assume the waitress is going to come back and grab my credit card but never does. Ok..... I walk to the front desk thinking I need to pay there. Several employees walk by without saying a word or helping us. Finally, our waitress sees us and says that we need to pay at the back bar area. We cross the dining all and go to pay in there but no one is manning the register. We wait several more minutes before being able to flag someone down. All in all, I see the potential in this place. I want to like it. It needs a decent manager to come in and clean up some of these basic little things though. Until there is someone new running the show there and the staff gets some training, youre better off avoiding this place.

We had just finished 5+ hours of white-knuckle-driving through a blizzard and got here 20 minutes before close. We felt bad and said we would order quick but the servers were friendly and didnt rush us or make us feel bad. Never been here before but we ordered the big feast with ribs, brisket, chicken, pulled pork, and sides. Let me start by saying the ribs were some of the best Ive ever had--like forget what you were thinking and start hearing angels sing type of good. I was not expecting that from a place with laminated menus but wow, they were perfectly slow cooked, moist, great smoke ring and crispiness while barely hanging on the bone. Next best item was the pulled pork. Great smoky flavor and extremely juicy. The chicken and brisket were nice too but honestly, I was hogging out on the ribs that I didnt give the brisket a fair shake. The sides were fine too. I recommend a Spotted Cow beer to go with this great feast (only sold/served in Wisconsin). I will definitely return to this place.

On Tuesday evening around 6 pm, my husband and I came to this restaurant for dinner. He ordered the polish sausage dinner with red beans and rice. I ordered the three sliders. We waited almost 40 minutes for our food. My sliders were cold and the bbq was awful. The red beans and rice didnt look or even taste like red beans and rice. The waitress wasnt real friendly either. Needless to say our food was awful and it was a waste of money. Will not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Great disappointment for us because we were on vacation and wanted a good meal before driving home the next morning.

Discovered this place a 8yrs ago and kept coming back for ribs every Apple Fest. Last dinner was about 6yrs ago. Stopped again eagerly last night (2016) expecting excellent ribs. Ribs were tender and moist but tasted like burnt dry rub and lighter fluid. I dont remember the ribs having any dry rub before, and they certainly never had the choking amount they had on them last night. They were inedible. Beans were good. GO BACK TO THE RIB RECIPE FROM 6yrs ago! I doubt Ill make the extra drive to Ashland the next Apple Fest.

This was the most disappointing dining experience in a very long time. Three out of four dinners were left more than half uneaten. Brisket was cold, tough and sinewy. Probably cooked, sliced, put in fridge then reheated. I dont even know how to describe the ribs. Warm at best with a very odd texture. Chicken was tough, not sure if cooked through. The flavor of the prime rib was good, but served well done when ordered rare. Salad bar ok. Simply, avoid this place. Service no better than food.

Our waitress was very friendly, and had an upbeat personality which made our visit very fun! The place is very clean and if you like hunting and fishing, many animals to admire on their walls. I asked for a change in the days special to accommodate that I do not eat pork, not really expecting them to but they did without hesitation. The staff were all pleasant and the food was amazing! Great salad bar that night as well!!! Will definitely be referring to friends and family!

My husband and I ordered the Little Feast dinner with baked beans and sweet potato fries. It was the best, most tender BBQ weve had in years. Service was great, the restaurant was fairly busy and our food came out in less than 10 minutes. There was a good selection of local beer and great old fashions. It has an awesome northern atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

Passing through town thought this would be a nice place to eat. Place was dead. Service mediocre. We ordered the pulled pork and beef brisket. Pork was OK, but brisket was HORRIBLE. It was cold and nothing but fat. Owners need to remove management and re-train staff on soft skills. Dont waste your money.

While my young daughter was a little traumatized by the dead animals everywhere (a taxidermists dream client, that place), the rest of us really enjoyed our meals. I found the staff to be helpful, our server was particularly understanding and fun. I would certainly go back.

I love this place. We stayed the weekend at The Quality Inn of Ashland for a ice fishing trip. Between the two , perfect. A great place to stay and a great place to eat right next door to each other meant all we had to do was fish. We will be back.

42 $ pour 3 cela est bien raisonnable. En plus la viande est bonne. Vous pouvez y aller avec plaisir.

Horrible service, waited 45 minutes to get our food and not busy at all. The food was cold, prime rib was tough as leather, ribs were cold, pork chops were tough. Green beans and potatoes were good.

The bar tender is absolutely horrible!! I sat all night with an empty beer. Then she changed the game when it was in double overtime. Slow, rude, just plain awful.
