My family and I love this place so much that it is one of our first choices for celebration dinners. The hostesses, waiters, and cooks are always on point, and the atmosphere is great with lots of interesting handmade artwork and sculptures, and very colorful tables, chairs, and booths. I usually get the chicken chimichangas "especial" which are consistently delicious and filling enough that the last bites are difficult, but sometimes I will order the plate that comes with beans and rice on the side anyway, even though its always way too much food for me to finish. I highly recommend trying Viva Mexico if never have.

Do Not.....I repeat Do Not go to this place if you want authentic Mexican food. We just moved to the area and have eaten mexican food from all over and this has to be the worst. My wifes food was cold and how do you screw up a bean burrito. The chips were stale and cold also....I think that should have been the first sign. Also the prices are way to high for mexican food....$8 for huevos con chorizo....ridiculous. We would rather go to taco bell than this place, at least the food would be hot there! dont even want to give this 1 star

I am not a mexican food fan, but my wife loves it. However, this has to be the best mexican I have ever had. The decor is very unique and the owner is always there and is very involved. Everything I have had so far has surprised me. As a foodie I highly recommend this place even if you arent big on mexican. My favorite so far has been the california burrito. Price is about 10 to 15 a person for an entree which is highly worth it.

This a really nice place. Its a lot bigger that it looks. They have tables ready for bigger parties. Conveniently located. Was just passing by and found this place. Staff is friendly and food was good. I had the serapiada... I believe thats the name. Known in other places as a fajita trio. The meat was a little thin and dry but the rest of the food was delicious. Chicken and shrimp were good.

Usually when I go to Mexican restaurants, I get an upset stomach. Thats why when my parents wanted to go to Viva Mexico, I was skeptical. But once I tried the cheese quesadilla, I was in love. Now whenever my parents ask me where I want to go for dinner, I immediately tell them Viva Mexico. I never got an upset stomach here, and Im so happy! Amazing!

Positives: food is okay for the price, dessert was great, owner is a very nice lady Negatives: my table was largely ignored. Never got our drinks refilled. Waited so long for them to come take my card that I just left cash on the table so I could leave. I dont care how good food is if the service isnt all that good. Wont be returning.

Low rating because the restaurant is so inconsistent. Sometimes they’re fast and it tastes great, sometimes they’re slow and the food is awful. My most recent trip there was a finger nail in my rice. I don’t understand how someone preparing food can’t wait until they’re not standing over a plate to chomp on their finger nails.

Just got home after eating at this wonderful Mexican restaurant. I had fast, friendly service with a smile. I ordered a strawberry margarita and burritos mexicanos. The margarita came out in a huge frosted glass and was very well made. My dinner was served hot, fast and the portion was well worth the price. Love this place!!!

This place is very popular for many reasons! The decor is quirky and fun. They have giant owl sculptures and other animals, lots of festive colors on all tables and chairs (not too tacky, just fun) and the food is very good. The staff is quick and friendly and its always a tasty time here. I love the Tres Marias enchiladas!

I live locally and I will have to say that I enjoy every time I go to Viva Mexico Family Restaurant. The service and food are both great. If you are unsure of what a dish is, they will be glad to tell you about it or if its not just what you want, then theyll narrow it down to the things that you know that you would like.

Excellent food and service. You get more than you pay for! Bathrooms are very clean and so is the restaurant. The manager was going around and making sure everyone was satisfied. I just mentioned it was my daughters birthday and they brought her fried ice cream, a sombrero, and sang for free! Will be going again!

Food was pretty good. Close to authentic. Not always consistent. Not quite as good as other Mexican restaurants Ive been to. The decor is nice. Service is usually pretty good. The biggest gripe is the wait staff all talk loudly & cut up among themselves in Spanish which is quite annoying.

Viva Mexico had horrible customer service and mediocre food. Renovations were going on while dining in and the place was dirty overall. If you want a meal thats just above the quality of Taco Bell, this is your place. Prices are outrageous for the quality of food. We will never be back.

Ive been at this restaurant twice in the past month and both times it was excellent. Food and service was amazing. A friend of mine turned me on to this restaurant early in Feb and I took my wife there just last week. She loved it too. This restaurant will be a regular for us.

Talk about good Mexican food!!! This place is it. The chips and salsa are amazing along with the hot well made food you order and the service! Everything about this place is great! They need to teach the nasty Mexican restaurant in front Royal a thing or to!! Love this place

We love Viva!! We spent 13 years in AZ where we got real authentic Mexican food. I was a little disappointed when we 1st moved here and everyone was bragging about it. Over the years of us living in the area, we have came to love it!! Great service and food!!

I have been to many Mexican restaurants across the U.S. and even in Mexico itself. This is one of the best places for authentic Mexican cuisuine. A true gem of a restaurant in a most surprising place - the pan handle of West Virginia!

I was shocked to spend 30 on chips and added a couple of sides just to find out you had to add salsa if you wanted it also. I have never been to a Mexican restaurant where I have ever been charged so much. Will not be going back.

They sat us quickly The floor was greasy slippery The chairs are excessively heavy It took over 45 minutes to get served even a 1yr old and a 2yr old. One order had to be sent back because the switched beef for chicken.
