This is by far my favorite bakery in Seattle. Im addicted to their chocolate croissants (the best in Seattle), rhubarb croissants, and, my favorite, their lye rolls. Ive gone several weekends in a row, and my girlfriend usually gets something different each time, since they put different things in their savory croissants or lye rolls. For some reason they decided to make a turnip paste savory croissant two weeks in a row; this was one of the grossest things Ive ever eaten in my life. Did someone there even taste test that? I find it hard to believe that someone thought it tasted good or was even a good idea. Perhaps we got a bad batch, but it was so repulsive as to preclude any risk of spending the money to give it a second chance. In sum, you will not regret your visit here, but please steer clear of that turnip paste savory croissant. Im worried Seawolf may be shooting themselves in the foot with that.

Stopped by after closing because the doors were open and I could see staff inside. I asked if I could buy a loaf of bread. Nothing much left on the shelves but a loaf of rye bread. I asked that it be cut in half and split it with a friend. The rye was amazing. It reminded me of breakfasts in Denmark and Holland, savory, dense even crumb, amazing depth of flavor. The young man through in some pastries that were left over from the days production and we were surprised with a chocolate croissant that will have the folks at other bakeries coming in to reverse engineer and to sample. Great bread, great pastries. Ill be back.

Lovely little neighborhood Baker. Had a chocolate croissant that was absurdly delicious. Flaky, buttery and with a respectably thick cylinder of delicious and creamy chocolate running through it. Coffee was also solid and somewhat complimentary to the delicious croissant. I ended up buying a loaf of the sourdough to go, which was also amazing. Apparently they provide bread to many of the nicest restaurants throughout Seattle. For good reason, this place is worth a journey to find it.

Best croissants in Seattle. Bread was phenomenal. These are serious bakers that are genuinely focused on the true craft of baking. No fluffy dessert pastries and cakes here. Just perfected rustic breads and laminated pastries.

The pastries are amazing as is the bread. The texture of their croissant reminds me of tartine bakery in San Francisco, but its less oily and less cloying here.

I stopped by here in the afternoon and grabbed a crumbly flaky and very delicious croissant. Lovely minimalist interior with ample seating, as well.

As a German I am always looking for a good bread (and a good bread should include rye). I love their rye bread.

The raisin roll was very good and the sourdough was mediocre-good crumb low on taste.

Lye rolls may sound dangerous but they are only because of their addictive nature.
