I visited this place a number of times when it was the Victorian Tea Room and didnt like the food, so since it has changed its branding, I decided I would give it another try. The atmosphere has changed to more neutral, when it was very pink and girly before. There was a small additional menu along with the old Victorian menu, and other than that, everything else was the same. Including the sub-par food. I ordered the "roasted turkey" sandwich and was expecting an actual piece of roasted turkey. What I got was stale bread and cheap turkey lunch meat that you can buy at any grocery store. There wasnt any cooking involved in this sandwich. It also was supposed to come with cranberries and cream cheese, what it had was cranberry *flavored* cream cheese. It was made so cheaply. What was worse was the salad. It was obviously from a bag of mixed greens, again, likely from a grocery store or a Cash and Carry type warehouse. Nothing was fresh! My mother had an $11 salad that was the same lettuce as my side salad, it had frozen chicken on it, and was supposed to come with candied nuts. We found three little pieces of nuts. It was also not much bigger than my side salad, at an entree price. She ordered a small cup of their curried coconut soup and it was overly spicy (which usually isnt a problem for her) and had an underlying taste of SOAP for some reason. The only thing that was actually good was the savory scone, which tasted fresh. And I never received one single refill of my soda. When the server asked how everything was, I asked her, a little timidly, if I could be honest with her. She pleaded for me to be honest, so I told her everything that I just wrote here. She actually seemed relieved about what I had told her. Perhaps she feels similarly, but hasnt been listened to by the new management. We paid the whole check, as they did not offer to make reparations and I dont ask for discounts, I just wont come back to the restaurant. Im honestly a little bewildered by the positive comments on here, as I have been extremely disappointed by this venue every time Ive eaten there. Now, the desserts and tea are good. (Mostly because they dont make them on-site. I dont think they make anything on-site, except maybe the scones.) If thats all you go there for, then youll have a good time, as long as you dont need too much attention from the wait staff. It is a "relaxed" atmosphere, as other reviewers have stated. I just feel like this is such a shame. This restaurant had such potential, but now its really just a cash-grab because its associated with a popular author, not because its food is any good.

The food was great and flavorful. But the service we got was a bad joke. We werent given our food until three tables that came in after us were seated and served, and given their checks. Once we were served we had to remind our server of the multiple sides we ordered, and request silverware. On top of that we only got three napkins for the four of us. When the checks came we were overcharged and even after mentioning this to the server, I got a "Im sorry Ill see that its fixed" only to find it was never fixed when she charged my card. I wouldnt come back to this place. The server seemed to just completely not care, or to fix any of the issues we directly offered to her, not the experience I paid for.

I loved the tea, and the cute little salt and pepper shakers shaped like tea pots. I really really enjoyed the Havarti cheese and apple with toasted blueberry cinnamon bread was amazing. That could have been my whole bottom tray and I would have been happy. The strawberry butter to put on the scones was delicious. The only reason that I rated it four instead of five stars is because I didnt like having to look at the big hallmark signs as I was trying to have a dainty tea party with my friend.

Always really like coming to this place. They used to the Victorian tea house but have recently updated their image. They are still a teahouse but they have extended their hours and menu and started to serve beer and wine. Previously they catered to a very specific clientele, the update has made them more appealing for a larger audience. The food is good and the wait staff is friendly. Its a good place to come for lunch, dinner, or just tea and dessert while you chat.

Went here for breakfast on a Sunday morning after church. Was initially disappointed to see a buffet but was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. The traditional breakfast fare--eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy--were all top notch. And Im a tea drinker so the selection of teas was really nice. But the French toast casserole.. OH MY GOD!!! It was amazing. I will definitely be back again!

Third time here for breakfast and it has been decided that this will be "our thing" for Sunday morning breakfasts. All three times we had great service and friendly, professional staff to assist us. The food is fresh and very tasty; the scones with strawberry butter are perfect for a Sunday morning treat with fresh brewed coffee. Love the eggs Benedict and breakfast sandwich. Love this place!

Bring a coat, it is always pretty chilly here. Make sure to check out the shop. They always have new, local artists. Make sure to get the butter with your scones. It is to die for. Great food all around! Not TOO many tea selections, but enough to try a new one every time.

We made a reservation for high tea and were treated as if we were just walking in. Nothing was ready, the service was so very lacking and the atmosphere was blah. Thankfully the food and tea were good, but for my first time, it will probably be my last.

Its always a pleasure to come here. The staff and Manager are always so polite and welcoming. The food is always delicious and the tea first class. Being a Brit I do love my spot of tea. Great value, great service always. See you again soon. Cheers.

Awesome. Food was delicious. Had the special for the day (bacon turkey jalapeño ranch sandwich). Meal for 2 with desert was around $ 30. I find it odd that there was no wait and place was not crowded. The tea was rich and full of aroma.

Delicious breakfast/brunch, scones and tea. I know some people have complained about wait time but we had a group of 10 and had no problem for brunch. Even if you do have to wait they have a cute store connected to keep you occupied.
