Just yesterday, my mother and I decided to eat at this restaurant for our dinner. I dont usually say this but this restaurant was amazing in every aspect. THE SERVICE- This is probably one of the most important aspects of a restaurant because if the customer feels they are respected, they are more likely to come back. As many would agree, Crumpets passed my expectations. If a customer is not satisfied with the workers attitudes, they are most likely to leave and never come back. As soon as we walked in, the host welcomed us like we were close. After being given a table, a waitress came and greeted us with a smile. She was very friendly, open to any small conversation we opened up with her. THE ENVIRONMENT- This is one of those restaurants that is perfect for any kind of occasion, whether its a party, a date, or a family reunion. I guess you can say its kind of like the restaurant you would say in a romance movie! The lights are dimmed and in the background, a soft and calming melody plays. Outside, theres a grassy area where the kids just love to play in during the daytime. If youre lucky like we are, you can see foxes roam around the area (try to find that silver fox!). Pictures taken by the owner of the restaurant decorate the interior, each with a different story. During the holidays, the restaurant is decorated with beautiful Christmas decorations and the napkins are even folded to look like Christmas trees! Most importantly, the restaurant overall was spotless wherever I went, which made me satisfied. THE FOOD- My mother started out with a salad with ranch dressing while I started out with a shrimp plate. As we took our first bite, it was clear that they used fresh ingredients. After we ate every last crumb of our plates, we went to the main dishes. We shared two plates, the fresh rainbow trout, which is healthy for the heart according to the menu, and the house specialty, the "Trilogy". The food is so delectable, it took my breath away! Nothing can compare to the quality of the food served at this restaurant. Some will say the prices are a little high but I say it is worth the price. Also, it is worth mentioning that they have a full bar, so if you want a drink, you should definitely try what they have to offer here. Overall, I will be happy to take anyone to this restaurant and honestly, I think I might just make it a tradition to come here around Christmastime especially. If youre thinking about coming to Crumpets, you should stop by.

Thanksgiving at Crumpets. What a disappointment, first you should not have to wait for a table when you have a reservation, OK maybe a couple of minutes but not twenty especially when you are looking at the empty fully serviced table you will finally be taken to. Finally seated our waitress was fine and very attentive brought our drinks took our orders. Sadly it went downhill from there, the menu stated all entrees served with app, salad, bread & dessert. We ordered turkey and ham for our entree, puff pastry with wine and mushroom sauce for an app, apps come out, tough day old pastry with i suspect Heinz jarred mushroom gravy & extra salt. Then our salad not bad but its salad come on, entree time, 5 diners at our table 4 diners served five minutes later number 5 was served. turkey (cool & dry), ham (1 very thin deli shaved slice) also cold, huge pile of green beans ( bland) 2 teaspoons of stuffing, thats it no mashed potatoes, no gravy, no bread, NO BREAD its a bakery (supposedly). Now our waitress is no where in sight, we finish our sadly over priced meal & sit & wait & wait until finally a girl seemingly about 14 years old comes up to our table & asked if we are OK we reply that we are finished & would like to see our bill & one person asks about dessert, the waitress shows up says sorry, what do you want for dessert.we decline dessert and ask to leave, she produces our $185.00 bill and we pay & tip fairly well ($40), on the way out she comes up with a boxed pie & states heres your dessert. (we left it sitting on a bench outside). I had always heard very good things & how upscale this farce of a European dining establishment was. what a sad disappointment. will never spend another cent there & will let everyone who asks know the truth.

My husband & I ate here for Thanksgiving! I was not impressed at all! The food was mediocre! We had reservations and was told they were seating first come first serve! We were seated iutside 30 minutes after our "reservation time." For this to be "fine dining" I was definitely disappointed in the 8.00 plastic chairs we were sitting on! The atmosphere was less than inviting! I understand Thanksgiving was a busy day for this restaurant, therefore they should have been over staffed! I should not have had to wait 30 minutes to have my drink order taken, nor should I have had to wait an additional 15 minutes for the waitress to deliver the drinks! $28.50 was far too much to charge for this meal! The appetizer "puffed pastry with mushroom cream sauce" was so salty, I heard not only us, but a few tables near us saying how salty it was! The salad, was lacking salad! Let's just say I had more dressing than the actual greens! Sadly, the main course was not much better! The turkey was old! Tasted like it was cooked three days prior, then warmed up and slopped with gravy! Dessert time arrives and the waitress says " here's what we have left" Really? I don't get the same options everyone else was afforded? They should have had enough of everything because afterall they took "reservations" so they knew how many would be attending!! With that being said, we will not be eating here again for any other holiday or any other non holiday for that matter! If you ate here for Thanksgiving & enjoyed this meal, I'm personally inviting you to my house next year because I KNOW I can prepare a meal waaaaaayyyy better than this!!!

Not good. Went for dinner and was very unimpressed. We were the first people in and were seated and waited on promptly. The food took about 25 minutes, duck and liver entrées. The potatoes on the duck were barely warm, one of the 2 in the mixed veggie was undercooked. The duck sauce was VERY strong, so much so that I couldnt taste the duck. It was also tough. After finishing our meals, we waited almost 30 minutes for our server to show up again (there are now 5 tables). The check with credit card has now been sitting here almost 10 minutes. Server has walked by the table twice now. The service started out good, but quickly went bad. The price is really high for the portion size and quality. I wont be coming back. The identity of the place is confused. They claim to be a European restaurant but have photos of American locations on the walls. A giant painting of a Spanish/Mexican village. About half the menu is American food. The only real European style food is the Italian entrées.

The rehearsal dinner was everything that we had hoped it would be. The room was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the service perfect. You were correct about the rehearsal running late. The wedding party didnt arrive at Crumpets until after 8:00 p.m. However, the wine flowed and the appetizers were served to our guests who were there at 7:30. They didnt mind that we werent there. Thank you for your relaxed and professional approach to our "significant" event. We wish that we had more sons to marry off so we could enjoy your hospitality again. We would appreciate your pictures of the dining room; Tiffany is an avid photo album creator. We will be back to dine with you in the future; we might even bring Tiffany and Jason with us. But we refuse to share the Florentines! Best wishes for the holiday.
