I have attempted to visit Sprinkles on three different occasions. The first trip when I walked in there was no one in line, so not knowing where to go, I went up to the case expecting to be acknowledged by any one of the 3-4 employees that kept walking back and forth in front of me without saying a word. After a few minutes, I noticed someone at the register, so I decided to follow suit and head that direction. When I was finally acknowledged by the employee, she asked for my name (as though Id ordered) and when I told her that I hadnt ordered because Id been ignored, she told me Id have to go back to the case to be waited on. By this point, 4-5 people had formed a small line inside. Id been waiting for 10 minutes just to be told to go to the back of the line when there was no one ahead of me before. When I protested and explained that calmly that Id been previously ignored for 10 minutes and that it was ridiculous to expect to wait in line at this point, she rudely told me there was nothing she could do. I walked out and vowed never to do business with a company with such rude employees. Over a year later, my mother whos been dying to try Sprinkles since she watched her first episode of Cupcake Wars, decided to give them a chance. She went to the Cupcake ATM ordering two cupcakes. Hours later, when she opened the boxes, she found a cookie and a brownie...no cupcakes. Both items were hard as a rock, dry, and tasted like cardboard. How one messes up a brownie or a double chocolate I have no idea, but regardless, that was not what was ordered. She wrote customer service who issued her 4 free cupcakes for the inconvenience. She was impressed by their generosity and willingness to overcompensate for their mistake. Friday, she went back to redeem her free cupcakes. She ordered a Red Velvet, a Double Chocolate, a Vanilla Milk Chocolate, and a Strawberry cupcake. The vanilla, chocolate and red velvet were hard on the outside, dry, and lacked flavor. They tasted okay. The frosting was dry, crumbly...not creamy at all, and seemed like a product pre-formed and later applied. One of the disks of frosting came straight off one of the cakes when it was picked up in ONE PIECE. The strawberry was the best one out of the bunch, and that doesnt mean much. The icing tastes amazing on its own in small doses, but it doesnt taste strongly enough of strawberry...neither did the cake. Together, the cake and the icing had a not-so-pleasant taste of oil. The cake itself tastes like cardboard. None of the cupcakes taste like what theyre supposed to . She was expecting to get blown away by the most flavorful, amazing cupcakes shed ever eaten...we both felt ripped off even though we technically got all of them for free. Ive had more flavorful cupcakes purchased in one of those 4-piece gourmet, filled cupcakes from Walmart or Target. If only using natural flavors gives this result, give me artificial flavoring any day. They only have certain flavors on certain days. She wanted Peanut Butter and Chocolate, but they dont make those on Fridays. What kind of crap is that? They asked her if she wanted sprinkles on her cupcakes and she thought they were going to be little, rod-shaped sprinkles that we all know and love. What she got were to little round disks that were hard as a rock and tasted like nothing. They were nasty. Not to mention that the founder of this company is a judge on a cupcake competition show criticizing people on their decorations and flavors. If these cupcakes are the product she intended, she has NO right to criticize anyone. Theres no flavor, no decoration, and no flair to these cupcakes. The company has been a total disappointment and they will not get another dime of either of ours again. You can sell your dry, flavorless, overpriced cupcakes to the foolish/tastebudless/ organic food snobs.

We will never return to any Sprinkles establishment. We had never tried the ice cream (we have had the cupcakes). Five of us visited the ice cream location on Preston today. As we were all trying to determine what flavor we all wanted, I asked for a third sample for my 9 year old daughter. She did not care for the first two flavors she had sampled. We were the only people in the store, so they were not busy and we were not holding up any sort of line. The employee, who did not seem to be happy to be there anyway, rudely informed me that she was only allowed to give two samples per person. I informed her then that since my 9 year old daughter did not like her first two trials, we would not be purchasing (expensive) ice cream that we did not know if she liked or not. She then rolled her eyes and said that she guessed she could have one more trial. However at this point, I was already disappointed with the lack of customer service so we left. Our visit was on 8/21 about 3:30 pm if the manager would like to try to determine who the rude employee is that has now caused our family to never again visit any sort of Sprinkles establishment.

The cupcakes are wonderful and I really enjoy them. What I do not enjoy is the wait. I have been to the Preston Location 4 times in the last two weeks - I love giving them as little gifts to my friends or thanks yous to my staff. Every one of the times I have been here, the wait was at least 30 mins. The little store is not set up to handle the long line that forms for these cupcakes. The staff moves VERY slow and completes "to go orders" in between in store orders. When I was there today, there was literally two young girls working on in store orders and pick up orders. When I walked in a lady whom had been waiting for her pick up order, went off! She was very upset she had to wait 45 mins for her cupcakes. I agree. I will not be going back. I will be going to the Cakery on McKinney. While standing in line for 30 mins, about 30% of the customers got tired of waiting and left. I love the cupcakes but that is insane and I do not have the time, nor the patience to deal with the wait.

I was there on 10-20-10. I tried Vanilla milk chocolate, Apple Cinnamon, Chocolate Coconut, and Vanilla. For me personally they were way too sweet plus the size of the cupcake was so small. However, I guess most "gourmet" things are. Glad I went but I dont think ill be going back. After eating my cupcakes I left with a feeling that I just helped pay some of there rent considering the shop is in a more upscale side of town. Side note on the icing as I forgot to mention it earlier. I was expecting the icing on my cupcakes to be creamy and possibly a bit messy and what I got was icing that was crusty. You could rub your finger over the top and it wouldnt stick. It felt as if these cupcakes had been sitting there all day long. Like the air had dried the icing all up. The cake part itself was moist but the icing was anything but creamy. We arrived at about 3pm. So its safe to say that these cupcakes very well could have been sitting there all day...
