The original Highland UofM area store moved to Summer Ave off Highland and I am happy to say nothing changed. They still offer the most amazing subs I have ever eaten! The bread is too die for! The season salt and just enough of all the veggies make for an incredible lunch everytime. Nothing is ever left on my plate! They offer Chinese as well, I have never had it personally but smells great! A impressive value on the daily lunch combo, especially when you consider you get a HUGE sandwich, chips, and a drink for under $8. Bring CASH they dont accept credit!

Just had my first eating experience and I had their Super Sub. I was absolutely delicious. I have to say this is going to be my favorite sub shop to eat at because they have great prices. And I imagine that all of their subs are equally good. I had the soft bread which was toasted and it was amazing. I havent tried the hard version and I imagine Im going to have great difficulty taking a chance when the soft bread was so delicious.

Food was delicious but one of the staffs wasnt very friendly. I believe shes the main one who makes the sandwiches. I asked her if my the meat for my sandwich was cold and asked if she could heat it up, she responded with a "no" rudely and didnt bother explaining why. I asked if she could microwave the meat, she looked at me for a second or two then said "no". Again rudely with a mean face and didnt bother explaining why.

Ive been eating at this restaurant since they were at their former location on Highland next to Whatevers. It is still the best sandwich bread I have ever eaten and its so cool to get Chinese food aND a sandwich at the same place. Bring your cash, they still dont accept plastic which I think makes it a treat to only be able to go when you have cash on you.

I have been coming here for atleast 10 years, since they moved to summer (closer to my house) I go on average once a week! Just something about their sandwhiches! Its a Memphis staple and right of passage. I cant speak for the Chinese food and it is no nice resturant but you cant beat the sandwhiches!

12" Super Sub on hard bread 2 Peppers 1 Pickle Fantastic. The sandwiches are as good as theyve ever been. The new remodeled location is clean and inviting and just plain nice. Get here for lunch early (11:15) because the lines get long. And bring cash, aint no cards at the Chinese Sub Shop.

I had four different orders and i was telling her what I wanted on them. (The Chinese lady) Told me I was being to difficult. I stated that I wanted the sub cumbo for today which was ham. She didnt give me the combo just the sandwich. The sandwich had little meat for all that bread.

I wish I could double the stars that Im giving here because this place is absolutely my favorite place to eat. I have eaten here since College almost 30 years ago prior to the move. That has not lost a beat it just keeps getting better every time I go. Best sandwiches in town

A definitely "hidden gem" in Memphis. A favorite of many University of Memphis college students for decades has moved over to Summer Ave. Their sandwiches are great and always consistent. Ive been told they have Chinese food, but I just cant stay away from the subs.

This is what I miss most about Memphis. Super Sub has outstanding food for low prices. If you want to recreate my college experiences, come here with some friends, order a 12" super sub on soft bread with some golden flake bbq chips, and have a good time.

I like it but they only accept cash. In addition, they got my girlfriends order wrong twice in a row so if you are particular about your sandwich double check at the register when placing your order and when you receive your sandwich.

I used to go to the shop when they were on the island and they moved but I thought of something and it is well worth the drive for me. Everybody loves their sandwiches. The bread is the best and the prices are excellent.
