We had heard good things about The Junkyard Dog from locals and tourists so Sun. June 24 we dropped by for lunch . Standing room only ! But the wait was worth it . We were seated promptly and our Server Taylor was superb in her attention to our needs. She and all the other servers were calm ,competent, and very professional. The food was fantastic . Fresh salads ,generous portions and my rare steak was PERFECT. Excellent flavor . My husband had the Blackened Tilapia which was well seasoned and cooked exactly right. Thank You Taylor and The Junkyard Dog for a wonderful meal! Oh Yes we LOVED the Decor as well lots of neat stuff in there.

1st time, very optimistic. Very cozy atmosphere. Trust me I wanted to give a good review. The steak was very well done after ordering medium well. They refused to make it right, he said sorry about that. The shrimp was perfect but the nice waiter refilled my Coke with some kind of weird tea. Kinda of a strange experience. But they have great bread!

Happened upon this place during one of our Sunday excursions, so glad we stopped in. I had a wonderful Chicken Philly with crisp onion rings and the most delicious house-made gumbo ever! So glad Hohenwald is just a Sunday drive away, were looking forward to going back soon!
