Went to get a fresh baked birthday cake instead of going to a grocery store and asked for bright decorations. After receiving the cake, it was dull colored, the icing was falling apart and the piping along the bottom was not uniform. Whoever made this cake must have just been learning how to decorate cakes. Definitely not worth the price that was paid.

Subpar bakery. Very old school, not modern at all. Bought cookies from here years ago, they were cute, but didnt taste any better than store bought. Sorry Carswell, if you offered more products (bread, coffee, muffins, etc) & modernized your store, Id probably visit you daily/weekly & recommend. Would have given 1 star, but "hate" is a strong word.

my grandmother is a personal friend of Mrs. Carswell and she made a Barbie cake for my cousin a couple of weeks ago for her birthday and she LOVED IT (shes five). I would not pick anywhere else to get my cakes done. excellent work and excellent service.

Amazing home made treats by ladies who know the old art of baking. No crappy fake vegetable oil or short cuts. Im from CA and I stop by anytime Im in town to bring things home. I love the pecan pie bars, peanut butter balls, and brownies the best.

Best bakery on town, and has stood the test of time. Many other bakeries have come and gone, Carswell stands strong. This is our "go to" place for special cakes - birthday, anniversary, whatever. Ordering another cake from Carswell today...

Went cake tasting for my wedding cake and went to pat a cakes the cake was dry and was just not worth the money so I took a trip to carswell and it was absolutely the best cake If looking for good quality and great taste check out carswell

Ordered a cake on short notice for my parents 50th Anniversary and they did an outstanding job. The cake was beautiful and tasted great! Also the cost of the cake was half that of other bakeries in the area.
