Ill start out by saying Ive never written a restaurant review before, but feel compelled to do so now, because Piemonte is the best pizza I have had in two years of searching in Providence. I live up the street from this place, and will admit Ive been reluctant to try it. The location doesnt let on that it would be as good as it is, and they opened up about a year ago, replacing a business that was your average "we dont care" kind of restaurant. I moved to Providence from Brooklyn, and Ive also lived in Italy, and as silly as it sounds, Im pretty serious about pizza. Ive driven by Piemonte tons of times and tonight finally decided to try it. I had read a couple of good reviews, a couple of so-so reviews, but I figured it was time to give it a shot. I walked in with my daughter, and the owner John and his wife were just so absolutely lovely to both of us. Very warm, and very friendly. The window is lined with plants, which to me was a highly visible sign that this was better than it first appeared. Real plants, and they even turned out to be their own fresh herbs that they use in the kitchen. I got a plain pie and a margarita pie, because to me thats how you tell if a place is really worth its salt. Ill tell you, they were hands down the tastiest pizzas Ive had since moving out of NYC, and I have been searching since I moved here. Who would have imagined that it was right under my nose this whole time. In an effort to be more than just gushing, I will say that one of the things that kept me from checking it out sooner was the harsh fluorescent lighting inside. It doesnt broadcast the right message about how good the food is here. But the plants soften the effect somewhat, and the warmth of the owners more than makes up for the weird lighting. I hope Ive said enough to convince anyone who may have had their doubts, because this is exactly the kind of business that should be thriving in Providence. I know Ill be back very soon! (By the way, my boys loved it too. And pleasing a 10- and 8-yr-old is no small feat.)

I am in Providence for business and wanted pizza for dinner one night so after I checked out the places in the area and reading the reviews, I went with Piemonte! I got a cheese pizza, fries, and a coke delivered to my hotel which was close by. The man who took my order over the phone was very nice. It took a little over an hour which was frustrating since I was told 40 minutes and it was so close by. But I was starving so I was just excited to eat my dinner. The food was very good! The pizza was warm, not hot but very tasty, but not exceptional. The fries were good too and they give you a nice size portion. As for the prices, I think they are competitive and a good deal for a good product. Overall I was happy with my experience. Good food for a good price, what more can you really ask for in a pizza/sandwich place. I would definitely go there again.

I lived in NY and love NYC pizza. My friends and I are pretty serious about pizza and argue about the best places to go in NY. Whenever Im walking in NYC Ill buy a plain slice from every pizzeria I walk by to "test" it. Most Providence pizza places just dont taste that good or do something different, which is fine. This place has pizza that tastes like New York City pizza. Very friendly family run place. Their Mediterranean dishes are very good as well.

I am writing this review on behalf of Georgetown Womens Basketball. Great customer service! They went out of their to make sure we got what we needed. The food was delicious, everyone loved what they ordered. You should definitely give this guys a try individually or as a group! when in Providence. A big thank you from the Hoyas!

This pizza place has always delivered excellent pizza and excellent Buffalo chicken wraps. I lived down the street and I have never had a bad order or experience. This is a fabulous family run business with good service and friendly people. Thank you Piemonte

New to Providence, checked out Piemontes for a Sunday lunch. The Fenway pizza was very good, but the remarkable friendliness of the proprietor was outstanding. Very grateful to have an awesome place so close to home.
