Being a new couple in the area, we were looking for a restaurant that could be one of our regulars. We stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a go , sadly it will not be making the cut. The pricing was very fair around $12 each , the restaurant appeared to be very clean, busy , typical restaurant vibe for a Saturday evening but where it failed us was the food. There were plenty options and some of them were just fine! But my poor boyfriend just kept getting things that were awful (it wasnt him being a pickey eater, this man will eat basically anything) , the mac and cheese was just plain disgusting, the pasta was passed its expiration, the fried chicken that he got, had a long hair on it, like stuck to the batter. The crawfish (which is one of his favorite dishes) was stone cold, full of water and had the texture of Styrofoam and lastly the stuffed shrimp was the worst thing I have ever smelled, it was fishy mixed with gym shoes and decay. We both work in the restaurant business , so we understand it could have just been an off night but after both of us feeling sick all last night and today, we are not willing to risk going here again. We are giving two stars because somethings were good (green beans, honey chicken, the cheesy spinach) and the server was very kind and attentive.

The food here is wonderful,as for the peope who work there,NOT SO MUCH.You cant understand them when they talk,Me and my sons went there for lunch.They are so rude,disrespectful,they watch your every move like your gonna steal something. My son had some food left overs from his plate that he wanted to take home for later,he went and asked for a food container and put his leftovers in it,They kept rushing us,and i wasnt even done with my food yet.Than the guy came around with the check,i gave him my credit card and he took the credit card,the check and my son containers of food,he brought my credit card back plus the receipt and my sons food container(which had some of the food taken out of it),when we got out to the car i looked at the receipt and seen they charged me for a extra lunch meal just because my son wanted to take home his left overs.I like there food but after how they treated me and my sons,im going else where.

If I could give this restaurant less than 1 star I would. Several months ago we ate dinner here and the sushi chef was so mean to my 11 year old son he made him cry, all because he set the serving tongs on the wrong plate. I swore I would never go back. Yesterday my husband insisted on having lunch here convincing us with the argument that the chef was just having a bad day. I spilled a plate of food near the buffet. An employee looked at me and walked away. Nobody offered to help me. The sushi chef then proceeded to hand me paper towels and tell me "you clean it up". Still no employees offered to help me. I was angry and humiliated. I will never go here again for any reason. There is no excuse for his attitude and the poor customer service!

Good food but horrible Staff very rude. My kids were playing with the sugar packes when i left to get them food there dad was with them ..when i came back the waitress was taking them from my kids she actually took them out of my daughts hand and yes i spoke up...then we go to leave and there was no way i was leaving at tip after that not to mention no refills and she look at the receipt and then at me gave me a frown and rolled her eyes!!!!!! I willl not ever go there again and it sucks because we go at least 2 times a month the food is great but everytime there is an issue with the staff and this last time topped the cake.....DONE!!!!

The selection of food is wonderful. The only issue I have is with the wait staff, they expect to be tipped like they are a true server and all they do is bring you drinks (not very well, last two visit and I never got a refill until I had to ask) and then clear plates away. I am a generous tipper but to have a server explain that they are expecting a generous tip makes me not want to tip them. I tip the sushi chef very well since my son makes him work hard and they always treat him well. Tips are earned by getting good or great service. I will not have a waiter demand exceptional tips when they are not earned.

Excellent lunch , food was hot, restaurant was very clean and the staff was very friendly as always. Large selection of fruit and deserts to choose from . The lunch selection was as awesome as the dinner selection. Ive been going to the China buffet since they opened their doors ! I love this restaurant!! My daughter , since she was three years old has always called it " the lion place " so thats what we say when were going to dinner. You wont leave hungry or disappointed we go to dinner there regularly and always take out of town company to our "Lion place". Thanks China buffet for another delightful meal.

Good selection. Buffet, Hibachi grill and sushi bar as well as dessert and salad bars. Friendly staff. I love the frog legs. Not really a booming location, though. I only wish they played Chinese music over the intercom. I prefer Hokkaido Seafood Buffet(dont let the "seafood" in the name fool you) near the Waterfront right off the Squirrel Hill exit, but I cant always make it out there. Grand China Buffet is a good alternative for me. I recommend this place. And fyi, dont be so ignorant. They are Chinese serving Americanized Chinese food. Be respectful to them. If not, then dont eat Chinese food.

Food was fantastic. The waitress was rude. Put my bill down 5 mins after I got there. Clearly wasnt done eating. Then said are you going to pay now ? I responded by telling her Ill pay when Im done eating. Like I normally do. She got upset and then hovered over us till I was done eating. When I did pull my wallet out she came running over. I didnt even have my money out and she had her hand out. What is that ? so rude. She needs to learn some manors. I left it go this time. Although it has happened before. Next time I wont be so nice.

Food was disgusting. Egg roll was dry and no taste. Meat loaf was terrible. The salmon and founder was good. Waitress stood there after I paid waiting for a tip. Food made me and my father in law (Kenny) sick. I will never be back. Not worth getting sick over. After we went to Sams Club and was told by a lady working there that numerous times they have had food violations and have a D rating. Hearing this made him more sick and he had to use the bathroom. That place shouldnt even be operating..

Every time I come, something sets me over the top. First time I go, the food is dry and I got food poisoning. The last time I ever go there was today. The waitors are pushy and stare while you eat. The food was still dry and not much of a selection. When we were STILL eating, the waitor comes over and says "You pay now." and we asked if we could finish first, and she says "No, you pay now." We tipped her $1, and she rolled her eyes. We had no refills either. Never going to this place again.
