To shop at, Weis is a good place to go. The employees almost always greet you with a hello and are very friendly towards the customers. To work at, Weis is a terrible place to be. Based on things Ive observed as a shopper and things Ive heard from previous employees, I have deduced the following: 1) They start the pay at $9. They say this is to get the quality customer service they want. Now, this is obviously not true or just a hoax to get people to apply. If it wasnt, why fire an employee that had all the customer service traits they were "looking" for? 2)They want you to know everything right off the bat and the managers barely teach you anything, they just say "do this" and "do that" and youre expected to do it, whether you know how to or not. 3)Then, when you mess up, and you will if youre still learning, they blame you for not getting things right when they shouldve taught you properly. 4)Weis is supposed to value their customers ABOVE ALL ELSE but I realize their only concern is actually making more money. Ex. A: A friend of mine got fired for going past scheduled hours when a huge wave of customers came in asking questions and requesting orders. Its not to say she was a perfect employee, but she was a good one who was very engaged with the customers. She had missed a day of work from being sick the night before and ended up coughing all night. When she fell asleep she realized she had slept through her shift. This only happened once and never again. She was forgiven for this since she was sick and she never let it happen again. The thing that made her get fired was staying past her scheduled time. She had to drop what she was doing at the moment and serve the customers that came, which according to Weis guidelines is the top priority. I find it extremely funny & frustrating that they fired a good employee for doing her job. They have a board up in the front of the store that says how they are doing in things like cleanliness, engagement with customers, and profits. The scores are based on surveys taken by customers. Surprise, surprise! Last time I checked, the score for profits were in the 80s but engagement with customers is at a mere 10%. Unfortunately for this branch Weis, I will be writing the corporate HQ about all of this and posting reviews so that no one else has to suffer the same way my best friend did.

I worked there store is OK all the employees are great just one of them isnt he is rude and is immature he insults other employees in front of customers and every other employee is amazing I wouldnt work there but all those who do but that one man are incredible that one man is a jerk

A decent selection of foods. Beware of price reduced meats. I have returned several packages that were obviously spoiled when I opened them. The nose knows!

Great selection and mostly inexpensive. The salad bar, deli, bakery, and seafood departments are all decent. The fresh meats tend to be overpriced.

Not good. Shelves not stocked. Prices not marked. Odd layout. Though this is the closest supermarket to my house, I go elsewhere when possible.

Its alright. Prices on items are lower or higher than Giant, produce is better than Giant, store layout is not intuitive, and staff are ok.

I live 2 blocks from this Weis and its great! small salad bar fresh to order pizza and very nice seafood selection for a small town market
