Today, my friend and I decided that we were going to pay homage to the Texas Roadhouse in Palmyra, Pennsylvania, for a friendly lunch visit. I guess today is national fly day, because every fly in the surrounding counties were buzzing specifically around our booth, and the booth next to us. The entire meal consisted of taking a sip of coke while having to simultaneously battle the horde of satans armies landing on our arms, legs, faces and food. After slowly building up a rage that festered the duration of the meal, a manager, in passing, asked us how everything was. At that time, I decided that i was going to inform him of a potential corpse underneath the booth as a possible explanation for the amount of flies swarming our area. After informing him of the 5-6 flies bothering us at any given moment, he sheepishly apologized with a quick "sorry", proceeding to scuttle into the kitchen without a further word. We thought, as any person might, that we might have been given some sort of compensation for the battle we had to endure for our entire meal. EEERRRRR, wrong! Not only did we not see the manager for the rest of our time there, but we received no sort of compensation for the sub par experience. While our waitress, "blonde haired brittany" was fantastic with impeccable customer service, unfortunately our dining experience was far from that. Now on the off chance it is national fly day, i apologize to any flies that may be offended by this review, and want to express my appreciation for all the work you do to piss people off. Andrew, out.

I wanted to express my deepest appreciation for Texas Roadhouse in Palmyra, PA. My husband and I were passing through town today so we stopped for a bite for lunch. I have never felt so ignored and unimportant at any restaurant in my life. We went into the restaurant and were greeted and sat immediately. Then we sat for 30 minutes at our table....no one came to our table to greet us, bring us beverages, take our order....nothing. We were seated right as the staff enters the kitchen and the bar area. A few of the staff smiled at us as they walked past. Three staff members stood eating peanuts from the refill boxes. One male staff member stood hitting on a female staff member by the bar. Even the tables around us were seated, got service and drinks and their food started coming out. A good time was had by all.....except us. I suppose we are just invisible and our money was not needed by the Texas Roadhouse in Palmyra, PA. I reported our lovely experience to the hostess on our way out and then I walked out the door. My husband called the manager on the phone to report their problem and got a response of "Thank you for letting me know". He said she sounded very young. I guess she did not really care. I guess you can tell....we will not be visiting again and I encourage you to think twice about visiting as well.

Generally, the food is good and the service is good. So if thats what your main concern is, you risk little coming here. I also like the way you can (usually) choose your steak ahead of time. But theres often a wait, and the place is a bit loud and crowded for my taste at times. Ive also never been a huge fan of the throw-your-peanut-shells-on-the-floor-because-you-can restaurant culture. I dont recommend most of the mixed drinks and cocktails that are available, either. Its a familiar story: spend seven or eight bucks and get a fruity drink with a splash of liquor in it. That said, you dont go to Texas Roadhouse for fine dining, a quiet atmosphere, and top-shelf drinks. The place has its theme and sometimes it works for me. Other times, not so much. So just know where youre going and keep your expectations in line with that. No complaints about staff or service, though. Ive been treated well every time Ive visited, and thats a big part of what motivates me to return from time to time.

I came wanting a good steak and it was a bust. Ive been to another Roundhouse before and it was great service and good food. It was a failure in the streak department. I choose a 20oz bone-in ribeye, cooked medium rare. The steak came in in about 15 minutes which was the first indicator that it wasnt cooked enough. I touched the steak and it was too soft. I cut into the steak and was only seared on top and raw in the middle. I sent it back to be cooked to the truth temperature. It came back and was cooked right around the edges of the steak. I cut into it and in the light I thought it looked cooked enough. When I ate to the middle I saw that it was rare and nor cooked enough and could not finish it. The sides were great and I wish the steaks was cooked right like the sides were. My server was great though, very friendly. I might give Texas Roadhouse another try, Im not sure.

I always order a 8 oz sirloin rare rare slightly warm center house salad with dressing and a loaded baked potato with fresh made rolls and water to drink, 3 out of 10 times sirloin made med to med well, I normally dont send it back because you never know what could happen with it at any place you eat. The meal is a little more then $14 and most of the time is exactly what i order and enjoy, the rest of the time it is good and ok not the way I wanted it but good and ok. Service is very good and i rarely have to ever wait long for refills of drinks, extra rolls or the bill and almost always am ask how was the meal by employees. The surroundings are come as you are with an appetite, potions are good size for the buck. I also do feel people working there do like there job, there is a feeling I get from most employees who work there want to make your visit great and meal enjoyable.

Been there a few times before. Food is always prepared correctly and staff is always polite. Went there a few days ago on a first date and got sat at a HORRIBLE table in the back of the dining room right in the middle of the floor. Table 347. Felt like I was a monkey on display at the zoo. Horrible location for a table. The only other thing that really annoys me are those extremely loud and obnoxious birthday announcements. Why must this company do this!?!? It is truly annoying, disruptive, loud, and unnecessary. I wish it would stop. But besides that the food is good. If your looking for a nice quiet spot for a date, this isnt it! It is always loud and you have to raise your voice to hear the others at your table.

I usually like the food served at Texas Roadhouse, but last week when I decided to try the kebobs I was deeply disappointed. The "meat" was pure gristle. When I complained to our server, she told me exactly what I knew had been done but didnt apologize or offer something else. Her words were something like this "Oh thats because they use the ends of the meat that have a lot of gristle." Duh! Of course! I paid about the same as a 6oz steak and got the ends that should have been thrown away. Doubt Ill eat there again and will advise people to be careful what they order.
