I really used to enjoy eating here but I have had a couple of mediocre experiences lately with the last, today, being the worst. Breakfast was barely tolerable. Homefries that were both, strangely, over and under cooked. Watery broken eggs, the wrong toast and scrapple that was just plain mushy. If the food were the I my thing I would consider it a one off. But the waitress was less than involved never checked how the food was, never offered a refill of coffee and passed me 3 times at the end of my meal with my plates piled neatly waiting for my check. After 14 years of serving it was the closest experience I have ever had to not wanting to leave a tip.

They make their own meatloaf as well as their cole slaw and potato salad. Anyone who has had their cole slaw comes back to order more for their family get togethers. The Hot turkey sandwiches are real pulled turkey. Their rice or bread pudding are great finishers to your meal not to mention the cobblers. If its breakfast you want then try the REAL home fries with their 3 egg omelette. The hamburger is fresh not frozen and the 3/4 ld hamburger steak smothered with fresh fried onions and gravy does not disappoint. If you are ever in the area give this little gem a try

Oxford, Pennsylvania --- vintage diners are ALWAYS super "Run-A-Way Bill" smiles ... built in 1953 in NJ & shipped to Oxford, PA in 1954 ... my hot-turkey sandwich lunch was great ... the portions were plentiful, with REAL sliced turkey breast, and an amazing portion of tasty-riffic brown gravy! the staff was polite, professional & interactive, plus the even the owner stopped to chat with me ... a "Run-A-Way Bill" Favorite eatery for sure ... The waitress was clearly bored, no emotion of any kind from her (its nice when they are happy and friendly). The food was borderline mediocre. The worst part was serving our immunocompromised daughter spoiled chocolate milk- smelled horrible so Im not sure why it even left the back to come to our table. We only found this place because a fantastic place down the street was closed. We will definitely not be returning. Should have made our anniversary breakfast at home!

A very mediocre lunch when I visited. Read the reviews and love old diners but this was middle of the road. Staff was pleasant. It looked the part. My burger was super plain with just a simple patty. Really just low flavor level. The side salad was a joke. I also had a cup of their Maryland crab soup- flavor was pretty fair but nothing Id talk about. Crab was barely present. Average food. Good people. Nice decor.

I didnt like the food here at all, which is a shame. The place is really nice and so were the staff. I got the breakfast and I was half way through and just couldnt eat anymore it just did not taste good to me. Usually I like to try places again to see if it was just that day the food was not so good but I doubt Id come back here again if I was in the area.

What you should expect from a small, old classic diner is delivered by a super friendly, competent staff. Pam Jennings is super. Great menu and food is wonderful. Clientele seem loyal, happy and friendly. Have been here several times (and I drive 40 miles to get there and back) and therefore know service and food is consistently wonderful.
