I have been going to Dockside Willies for a while now and I usually have a pleasant experience. However, today was by far the worst and most humiliating experience ever. I wanted to just grab a salad for take out so the waitress told me to order at the bar. As I approached the bar I was still on my phone due to a very important situation, so as I saw the bartender approach I told the party on the phone to hold on for a moment. That is when the bartender Stevie said no Ill wait till youre done with your conversation. I said no Im just placing a order to go and I know what i want. He replied well i need your undivided attention and I think it"s rude. I didnt make a scene i just placed my order and continued handling my business. When my order came i asked to speak with a manager just to inform them that if this is your policy that your guests are not allowed on the phone it should be posted. However I was informed by one of the hostess that this person Stevie at the bar is the General Manager. If i could rate this experience less than a star I would but that option is not available. Also, when i sat at the bar Stevie dabbed his finger in his mouth to collect saliva then grabbed a napkin with that finger and placed it in front of me...this is super unsanitary and his concerns should be on proper sanitation and not the customers phone conversation.

The food is bland, no type of taste at all. My husband ordered the Stuffed flounder and it was rubbery. His baked potato was not done it was hard and half raw. The Mac and cheese was made with ziti noodles and bow tie noodles...my daughters steak was burnt. My blacked chicken was also burned, made my Fettucine Alfredo horribly discolored. This place is terrible. Overrated and over priced, NOT WORTH THE TRIP OR TIME... VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH Everything AND NOW MY STOMACH HURTS!!!!! MY SONS ASS HURTS, SEATING UNCOMFORTABLE!!!! The cook should be fired, he should give us our Money back, $190.00 for food that should be served when the apocalypse comes!!! Owner should be ashamed of his self.. Will go to the THE GROTTO PUB NEXT TIME. AT LEAST WE DONT HAVE TO TAKE OUR OWN SEASONINGS AND THEIR FOOD IS ALWAYS GREAT AND ALWAYS COOKED TO PERFECTION... THE BETHESDA MISSION GIVES BETTER FOOD.

Went tonight on a Tuesday. No wait, staff standing all around talking to one another. Maybe thats why we were forgotten about. After 15 minutes of sitting and not being approached by a single waiter/waitress we decided it was time to leave. We were running out of excuses to tell our 2 year old why her fries werent coming out yet, and our 3 week year old son was sleeping great..but when the babys are that young you are on borrowed time with them not crying. On our departure...the hostess said "thanks guys please come again"....did she really think we ordered, ate, paid and were leaving 15 minutes after seating us? If the place was packed maybe I could understand her not remembering us. But she apparently forgot us...like the rest of the staff. I rated the food poor........because we didnt get a chance to try it...we wont be back.

Went on a Friday night around 8 PM and was slightly disappointed in the amount of wait. There was plenty of tables on the deck that were already finished with their meal (for quite some time) and were just sitting there listening to the music. Ideally, these individuals should be moved to the lower bar area and can enjoy their music just as much. The policy on not giving out wait times is just as absurd, as you could be waiting 5 minutes or an hour and a half. I felt so bad as I saw a group of young women being shown their table, only to find that the staff were incorrect and they didnt have a table to seat them! I would have been so upset, but these ladies were younger and probably didnt know any better. I hope they got at least a free appetizer.

The wait for a table was horrendous. After two hours of sitting at the bar, a member of our party went to the hostess for the third time and was told we were at the top of the list... Again. We sat there and watched them take numerous other parties to their tables. When we asked the hostess why there were so many empty tables, and we were still waiting. She said that they couldnt add a chair to a four top to accommodate our party of five. As we were getting ready to leave and go somewhere else, we were finally sat at a four top that they added a chair to. The only reason I am giving this place 3 stars is because our server was great. The food on the other hand was mediocre. If you want to get food. This place is definitely a dont.

Not a damn thing . Came here for a few drinks with some friends . First off the service was terrible, secondly after placing our orders we were informed that 2 of the drinks were not available to purchase . Once the drinks finally arrived , me and my friends were the most disappointed I have ever been when it came to margaritas from a bar . They were 90 percent ice . Next the check came and the drinks were billed incorrectly , and the 2 drinks that I was told were unavailable were added to the bill . After talking 3 times to the waitress "Emily" we finally got it resolved . Emily gave us some of the most attitude I have ever received from a server . Do not go here if you intend to be treated like a human being .

The deck is great to sit out on in the warmer months, however this is about the only thing great about this place. The service is very spotty, staff seems unorganized. had a couple of instances where we waited long minutes for drinks and even longer for food. I started timing how long it took for them to even take our drink order when we would sit down and the longest i have clocked was 23 minutes. If you are on a budget but want the atmosphere on the deck, come here. If not, go to one of the other restaurants right next door. Much better.

Went there with three freinds after a senators game. The deck was great to sit out on along the river. They did mess up our wing order (ordered 20 wings 10 garlic and 10 hot, they brought all one flavor) and the "Chicago deepdish" pizza I had was not good at all (burnt/black crust and very very few toppings and just did not taste good). With the exception of Im guessing the head waitress (she had an attitude for some reason) at the time the service was pleasant/fast overall. Not bad but definitely room for improvement.

For f@*# sake, if you cant handle the restaurant business.....then get out of the restaurant business. Twenty minutes to get drinks, forgetting the utensils, and bringing out a grilled chicken salad WITHOUT THE CHICKEN is ri-goddamn-diculous. I was in awe when the waiter actually came around to recap what everyone ordered so he could make up the bill. Three hours to get through two beers (one of which was completely wrong) and an entree.....3! If you do plan on going to dockside, make sure your schedules clear.
