Took my wife, children, and mother in law out for mothers day. Patiently waited over the quote time the hostess quoted us. I understand that its busy. We then waited another 40 mins for our food until we flagged someone down other than our waitress because she was MIA. We asked where our food was there was a party of 10 and 5 that sat after us and is halfway through their meals and we have yet to get ours. She then proceeds to come out and says the food will be done shortly with no explanation as to why our food took almost an hour to cook 5 BREAKFAST meals. I could understand if it was a Well done steak or something that needed time. But we are talking over light eggs and homefries and toast. My mother in law then proceeded to say we were not going to be staying we would like to leave. My wife insisted we paid for our drinks as my mother in law states they should be compensated. The lady that we were speaking with then states would you like me to call the police for not paying for your drinks. No empathy for my patient wait with a 2 year old child that has waited to enjoy his breakfast with his mother. At this point I spoke up because I am not a person to talk about service as I have ran numerous restaurants in my time, I asked who she thinks she is that she can make a statement as she is contacting the authorities. She then addressed herself as the owner. Instead of me getting into a detailed explanation as to why she understaffed her restaurant on the Busiest out to eat day of the year. I proceeded to sit there and wait for my check. I was then charged 2 coffees that were suppose to come as a package with my meal which we obviously didnt get at this time. I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone and will be filing a complaint with the actions of this owner with the better business bureau. Save your money, your time and your patience, I hear McDonalds across 81 will get you much better service.

The only reason I stopped here is because of good reviews. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. The only good thing I noticed about this place ,its clean. But so was the taste of my food. I ordered Reuben sandwich. It came with fries and coleslaw. Coleslaw was prepared in the food processor. It was chopped so finely that it didnt look like coleslaw anymore and the serving size of it was barely a tablespoon. The fries were not home maid for sure. They were served right from the fryer anx were extremely hot and tasteless. I dont even think that they use any seasoning on them. Sandwich looked way better on the picture but what I actually got was very basic, the kind you would get at any Truck Stop Cafe. The waitress was very inattentive. Overall experience: I would rate the food as three stars and the service two stars. Five stars for cleanliness. But that would not be the reason enough that I would ever come back here. Current reviews are overrated.

This review is not about the food & I would usually never do anything like this. So what happened was the manager called me in for an job interview. The person who "interviewed" me was not even informed of it. Then to top it all off, they said they would call to schedule and never did. Why would you waste somebodys time like that by "hiring" them, and telling them to wait for a call, when you had no intention of doing so? You were for sure flexing about how good business was or lying about needing more workers. Either way, it was rather rude and completely unprofessional. I hope you didnt do the same thing to someone else and had them quit their old job. "Customer service is the new marketing." I hope this does not reflect how you treat your customers. Good thing you guys are a roadside restaurant and cater to travelers.

I received my "anniversary" coupon in the mail for two free desserts. So my wife and I went for dinner 8/14/17. I ordered the Meatlof special ($12.95)- which was good. My wife ordered the Reuben ($11.95) which was so salty she ate less than half the sandwich. I presented our "anniversary" coupon after we were done and was told my wife had a sandwich and did not qualify. My $12.95 meal and my wifes $11.95 meal are easily not the least expensive items on the menu. So I said just give me mine. When I received the bill- yep you guessed it- they charged me. Not the servers fault- left her my normal 25%. But we will ABSOLUTELY never stop here again. At 6:30 restaurant was nearly empty. Others must have made a similar decision.

Nice diner atmosphere that was pretty clean & service was attentive but at times intermittent. I was looking for a good burger & read various reviews that they were good here, so I decided to try one, but it wasnt anything special IMHO. It was decent thickness & size but seemed like it was pressed into the flat top grill until all moisture was squashed out-dry & a bit gristly. I will say the fries were great & they give you plenty of them! I also got one of their Hershey milkshakes, which tasted ok, but it is a pre-made (small) cup that gets reprocessed into a shake in the special Hershey machine. Would rather have real ice cream, milk, etc blended on site for the $4 price.

Friendly service, decent food, considerably cheap. I had a breakfast veggie wrap that was super simple, but still tasty. It cost $6.99 and I would guess that a NY dinner would have charged at least $10.99 for that, even though it was basically just scrambled eggs and cheese with a scant serving of potatoes on the side. It got the job done and the place was clean enough, especially the bathroom... Something we were really looking forward to our long trip.

Driving from FL. to Canton, NY. True it is not the Waldorf Astoria but it was pleasant, staff was very friendly and courteous. Food came very quickly and it was good and exactly what my wife and I ordered. Atmosphere was very serene with nice quiet music. Place was very clean and eat . Having eaten and some of the best and most famous restaurants in the U.S. this place was very satisfying for what it is intended to be .

Fried chicken was very dry! It seemed like it was just old fried chicken drizzled with some honey, nothing special. The burgers were okay, but nothing special. Waitress was lethargic and when I told her about the chicken she just said "oh, sorry about that" and walked away. Luckily the hostess was very sweet and took that off the bill. I would not recommend this place and certainly wont be going back.

Fantastic! The food was well prepared and the portions ample. The "side salad" was much bigger than expected and had a great variety of ingredients, all of them fresh and crisp. The rasin pie dessert also was a large portion, with incredibly flaky crust. Our server, Sherri, was friendly, attentive, and cared about looking after two road-weary travelers. We highly recommend this restaurant.

I read other reviews and decided to try this restaurant out based on the good reviews. The food and service was very good. Examples: The mashed potatoes was real potatoes, not filled with oil or heavy cream. The Mac and cheese was real, not out of the box, and again not filled with other ingredients like heavy cream. I recommend this restaurant. P.S. desserts were very good too.
