This used to be one of my favorite spots to get a burger. Each one was unique and delicious. They had 2 of the best burgers Ive ever eaten; the waffle burger and the maple burger. The place has gotten away from what made it great; interesting and delicious takes on bar/pub food. It seems recently that the menu focused has changed. There are only a few burgers left on the menu, none of which are interesting. In their stead has come poorly assembled and average Mexican flavored cuisine. Even the burgers of the month arent up to par anymore and they all seem to be variations of the last. The wait is generally long but the do have a great beer selection. The place has really gone down hill. Gone are the inspired and interesting menu choices and in are the standard Mexican staples. How the mighty have fallen.

went here tonight. Great service! Ordered the fried chicken with the Mac and cheese waffles, but some aspects fell short. The chicken was crispy and perfectly cooked, but lacked any seasoning whatsoever. Did not even have salt or pepper! For the waffle, the Mac and cheese ended up being dry and tasteless after being cooked in the waffle iron :( It did not have the gooey cheesy texture or flavor of regular Mac and cheese. I liked the idea of the dish but its execution had some crucial flaws. I would come back to the restaurant just for that dish if those problems were fixed. overall it was a good experience. :)))

Roots was excellent! Food was great! Our table ordered the calamari, the Longhorn burger, the Salmon, and the fish (cod) & chips. Everything was incredible! The fish and beef were so fresh! The meals were portioned perfect and were absolutely delicious! The staff was friendly and attentive! The atmosphere was clean & comfortable! We also got a chance to met the owner, who was incredibly friendly & came to check on us throughout the meal. Great bar, awesome food, wonderful staff. Overall very, very satisfied with our experience! 5+ stars!! Will be returning soon!!

Ive been here twice a month since they opened. Scott, the bartender, makes your experience personal. He caters to your selection of beers and spirits and can expand your horizons on new drink choices. The food is beyond phenomenal. Ive had close to half the menu. Although it is a small menu, the taste makes up for it. Every bite is flooded with flavor. What are you waiting for? Seriously.....Try it

Bloody Mary bar during Sunday brunch is phenomenal!! Amazing local selections of liquor and beer. Every one of the staff members Ive interacted with is extremely friendly and seem as if they enjoy their job. The food selection is phenomenal and its a great place to sit and catch up with friends.

Best poutine outside of Canada! Great relaxed atmosphere and a good selection on their menu. The bar itself is cool, check it out. Some of the table tops are unique as well. Their specialty cocktails are $8, which I wish I knew before I got the bill.

Been here a few times, food is always good and atmosphere is fine. Beer list is decent. Lunch special portions are skimpy so would rather pay a few bucks and get 1 regular sized portion. Overall, so much better than when it was Guppys.
