I first visited the Seaside Coffee Roasting Company back in 2003 when my sister and I took a weekend trip to Seaside. I was super impressed with the independent coffee roasting business. The shop is large but cozy and the specialty drinks were not only delicious but meticulously thought out for ingredients and names. My favorite is a cold blended concoction called the Big Foot. It is a chocolate caramel blended drink and it is divine. I was stoked to find out that they are still in business when I took my family for an overnight excursion last weekend. I was a little perplexed when I first entered the shop because I wasnt sure if I was in the right place or if the place had changed. I didnt see the menu board with the list of specialty drinks and so I asked about them. It turns out that they menu board was present and accounted for, it just isnt currently hanging on the wall. I was however able to get my Big Foot drink and that made me a happy camper. Unfortunately, they havent really branched out in over 10 years but it still remains a place that I must visit when I get down to Seaside. If youre spending any time at all in Seaside or even if youre just passing through, I encourage you to make a point to stop at Seaside Coffee Roasting Company and get you a delicious cup of jo. Went early in the morning with the kiddo. They were clearly teaching someone the ropes but they showed very little stress or pressure and paid attention to our order (which is rare, sadly). The Caramel Mocha and the Italian soda was just what the doctored ordered. The apple strudel had just the right amount of sugar and flakiness for "pastry tasty time."

A funky, local place for those seeking refuge from chain coffee shops. the fresh-brewed coffee is good, but avoid the "air-pot" containers of pre-made. Staff friendly and helpful. The spinach and strawberry salad was only so-so. Comfortable chairs and sofas offer a variety of seating choices.
