I dropped in on a Saturday morning to pick up a sandwich for my brother and I to share on a trip out of town. The two gals who were on shift failed miserably at delivering any kind of professional, "pleasant" exchange. They were gossiping loudly with another friend on the other side of the counter about someone they mutually knew, and didnt bother sensoring any part of their negative conversation despite the fact that another customer AND myself were inside at the time. The young girl behind the register had a sour face and dimeanor, and didnt even bother with a single courtesy such as "thank you", "youre welcome", or even "hello" (basic greeting in any job). On top of that I didnt get a napkin or a straw for my drink in my bag, even though this was a take-out order. Having worked in management for years it makes me cringe to see a total lack of customer service. Luckily Im not her boss so its not my problem!

Seems to be going downhill. Last couple of times theyve gotten a very simple order wrong. The employees often seem to be in a bad mood. The last time the cashier didnt even make eye contact and was really unfriendly in general. Ironically I noticed a sticker on the door, "Be nice...youre in Oregon." I know they can get busy and were all entitled to a bad day here and there, but part of working in customer service is being able to manage your mood/stress and not advertise it. Ive noticed a pattern of this apathetic/annoyed attitude there and people who really arent happy to see a customer walk in the door. It could be that they have all the business they need from catering and arent as concerned with dine-in and take-out customers.

What a disappointment! I previously was a regular here before moving from Oregon. Being back now for some years I decided to drop by for a cup of coffee. The food looked terrific, but I was only looking for coffee. The service could best be described as curt, if not impolite and rude. The coffee was $2 and I left a $.50 tip. Only after I said thank you did the server manage a barely audible your welcome. And, the coffee to go was lukewarm. With so many good choices with such pleasant service, I wont be back to Croissant & Company.

review is old.... 9/8/2012 I was in Salem for work and had an hour and a half lunch most days. Decided to try this little place out for lunch. It was good enough to go back a second time. Its really small joint, so you will be lucky to get a seat at lunch time. I ordered sandwich on Croissant and it was pretty good. Wished I would have stopped by for breakfast, as the bagels looked great. They had a nice little pastry window. Also a plus.. good looking, friendly female staff.

Dropped by as I was downtown and looking for a place to relax and do some work. Picked up a croissant sandwich and chai. The sandwich was large and full of fresh veggies; the chai was good but tasted like a pre-mix; this isnt a cafe and I knew that going in, so wasnt surprised. Staff were very friendly and welcoming; was able to get on their WiFi, get my work done, enjoy a great sandwich and relax. No complaints.

I have culinary experience as a baker and was just blown away by their simple chocolate oatmeal cookies. They were the best I have had besides my own...I lived in other countries, spent time in New York, L.A. and Chicago. Hands down best menue too. Lucky for Salem to have this shop here.

This is my first visit here and I actually stumbled upon this place driving by. Prices are ok but you get a lot for your money. They have a huge menu. I got the croissant blt very delicious and the lady who took my order was very nice. I definitely recommend eating here.

They have wonderful fresh baked everything! The place has a nice kinda retro cafe style environment. And nice music playing too (Ben Gibbard was playing while I was sitting eating the wonderful coffee cake). I would love to come back again when I am in Salem.

I order lunches for meetings from Croissant & Co on a regular basis. They are always happy to take care of us, meet dietary needs, and deliver! Thank you for always taking care of me and our meeting attendees!

Ive had their sandwiches and I thought they were very good. They do have a weird ordering process though. One thing I didnt like is they served their iced coffee in pepsi to-go cups and it wasnt that good.

Worked across the street for nearly a year. Service is good but food consistently disappoints. Sandwiches are plain and expensive. Coffee in lattes regularly tasted burned. Never impressed.

Huge croissants! I love the portions and considering them the prices are fair! I love a plain croissant and their cookies are good too.

Great food for the price. Service was expedient and friendly. Only negative was that it was a bit cold inside.
