I visited crazy beans with my best friend this morning around 8:45AM and there was absolutely no wait. We were immediately seated and I ordered the hot rainbow cookie latte and he ordered the iced praline latte. I then ordered an avocado, mushroom, American cheese, and brocolli omlet as well as home fries. My meal was alright, they forgot to put in avocados but my waitress immediately got me half an avocado sliced to put on top of my omlet. The omlet was pretty average. The home fries were salty but delicious! My favorite part of this meal however was the rainbow cookie hot latte, it was amazing and in an adorable Kittie mug. Overall, good experience, accommodating, pleasant staff. I would definitely visit again to try their lunch!

My go-to cafe/diner in the Stony Brook area. The food is great, with quite a variety available for both breakfast and lunch (the pato loco burrito, with smoked duck, is one of my favorites). The basic coffee is pretty good, beating regular diner coffee, and the surroundings are nice. The staff are a friendly bunch and make pretty much every visit enjoyable. It gets really busy on the weekend, especially when the weather is nice, and you cant book a table in advance - so be prepared to wait (sometimes up to 30 minutes, but they give you a buzzer so you can walk around the center of Stony Brook). They now (finally!) take debit and credit cards, so no need to worry about bringing cash.

I have eaten here a few times and each time it has been pretty enjoyable. The location and atmosphere are excellent, fun and convenient. The food is very good, prices are fair. The service has for the most part been friendly and attentive enough. Although, there have been a few occasions I feel that the staff is in over their heads. A couple of the waitresses have seemed very overwhelmed to me, once messing up an order that my friend gave and not apologetic about it, just kind of frazzled. I would recommend and request that those waiting this place be prepared to stay centered and calm because I know this place can get busy! Keep up the good work :)

The corned beef hash is indeed as good as everyone describes. A bit on the salty side, but hey what do you expect? Potatoes were nice and crispy and the sourdough was buttery. My biggest complaint was the price:portion size ratio. I felt like 11 bucks was a lot for the amount of meal I got. Also, its cash only. I might have to revisit, though, after eating at other bruncheries in the area since I have no real frame of reference for how much brunch should be around here. Thus, take my review with a grain of salt before you start hating.

Disappointed! The chicken was thin and dry, overcooked to the point where it scratched my throat! Way too much cheese and dressings and to top it off, I went in for a plain bagel, nothing on it....$2.75! Being that it was only 7 am and they said they only had a few left it occurred to me they might be day old so I asked and was told they go to bagel express to pick them up a few times in a day.......The bagel was hard and by the way, Bagel Express charges about $1! Rip Off!

Awesome cafe/diner. We came in for coffee, but once we saw how great all the breakfast food on tables around us looked, we ended up getting breakfast ourselves, even though we had brunch planned a couple hours later. It was hard to choose, but the french toast and panini were great, and the coffee was also good. The service is super friendly and the decoration exudes happiness: this place is a great mood lifter in the morning. Id happily return if Im in the area again.

We got seated at the bar to be waitressed by Callie (the owner). She is absolutely the best. She made our visit extra special, as if we were personal close friends for a long time. The coffee is a delicacy.. uniquely made to your taste. Food was outstanding. I had french toast with fresh berries and strawberries with cinnamon cream. Highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast and lunch !

5 star customer service! Im from NC and wanted to find a great coffee place and Ive definitely found it! Our family came in today and we had excellent coffee (Hawaiin coconut and Organic Pull) and phenomenal breakfast! The staff was so very kind to help us while we juggled our two children. This will be our new coffee spot! Thanks for the great service!

Love this place! Been here a bunch of times and never get the same thing because its all fabulous. Today we had the chili, Cuban sandwich, steak burrito, and 2 frozen lattes (Samoa coconut and strawberry shortcake). All cooked perfectly. We had chicken and waffles and grilled chicken tomato mozzarella wrap last time, also very tasty.

I love Crazy Beans. This probably the best coffee shop I have ever been to. As a Stony Brook student, its so close by, and the staff are the friendliest. Not to mention that the lattes are excellent, particularly! Would highly recommend Crazy Beans to anyone and everyone.

Great dark roast coffee (its called "Pull"). Can be long waits - can get crowded. Excellent food - not cheap, but delicious. Generally a great experience, especially the coffee. Be prepared - they only take cash!

Great place to enjoy a unique menu. When we go, we go early. Its a small place so it can get loud and crowded - for a good reason. The food is always fresh, friendly staff and fun decor. Highly recommended.

Amazing food and coffee! My one critique is that they should have more tables and a larger space for their obvious high demand. We had to wait for (what seemed like the norm) of 45 minutes for our table.
