I was very excited to finally come to Ciros. Id heard about it over the years as being one of the best of Staten Island, but that it didnt get as much recognition as other pizzerias did (cough Deninos) because of its location. After trying it, Im inclined to agree that it is noteworthy, but it also isnt a "best of city" kind of place. First off, I did not realize that Ciros did the signature thin, cracker crust, Staten Island-style pizza. Its sometimes called "old fashioned" pizza, which is curious as it is nothing like the more famous, early 1900s NY-Naples hybrid that has been the dominant influence in pizza. This would be an interesting history to research, but I digress. I thought this place was just a slice joint. Thats not a bad thing, it just wasnt what I was expecting. Anyway, they have a nice porch to eat out on, which is good because it was a very nice day. The slices thinnest is comparable to other pizzerias of this type, but I thought the crust could have had a bit more flavor. Like the other Staten Island-style pizzerias, the tomato sauce is bright and flavorful. The cheese was run of the mill, but it balanced the sauce well. Ultimately my main issue is that the crust couldve been better (the flavor has to be there with this style because there is no rise in the dough), but it was still a solid slice. Id recommend this for the area for sure, but I wouldnt necessarily come all the way down here for it either, as there are others who execute this style better.

Im sad to say but I ordered some take out food with my family. A large order just to say, one of the items was a plate of baked ziti. when received, the plate of baked ziti was a plate of pasta with burnt marinara sauce on top, no mozzarella or ricotta cheese. So I thought maybe they gave me the wrong plate because it looks like just a side of pasta that comes with a dinner. When I called and asked the woman who answered the phone if there may have been a mistake and they sent out the wrong thing, she said no that it was right. So I had told her that usually baked ziti has mozzarella and ricotta cheese in it and she had no clue, she had to put the manager on. After waiting 5 minutes she came got back on the phone and said he is busy can I wait longer. I waited another 5 minutes for him to pick up the phone. I explained all of what I wrote above and his answer was, yes thats how we make it here. I said a plain plate of pasta is your baked ziti, with no mozzarella or ricotta cheese? He said yes you have to ask for the mozzarella and ricotta cheese because its extra and than hung up on me. I was amazed at his answer and I will never call from here again. What horrible customer service.

So here is the thing with Ciros Pizza. Ciro Pappalardo opened is business several years in Huguenot. Over the years his food has been hit or miss - I will NEVER eat there again. His drivers reckless - speeding the wrong way down an adjacent one way street and now the LATEST...His clearing his parking lot and DUMPING the SNOW of March 14, 2017 into the middle street blocking traffic!!!! This wonderful move affects students heading to school, people attempting to catch a train, and your neighbors who live in town. Shame on you!!! He did the same thing the snowstorm of Feb. 9, 2017 and when I called and spoke to him... His response "I wasnt there when the snow was removed and it will melt". Well this time it is twice as high and a complete block of ICE! How disrespectful that you Ciro have no regard for community you serve - only in making money...Again Shame on You.

Good food and service . Nice thin crust pizza, Fried Calamari was tender, and excellent pasta dishes. I would have given it 4 stars, but have to concur with the other reviews here that theyre excessively overpriced - particularly on the soda. Any reason I have to pay over $10 for coke? Better off asking for a glass of water with a twist of lemon. Dinning room is cramped and gets crowded and noisy - no place to go for a romantic dinner.

As the subject says... The pizza is very tasty and consistently good with fresh ingredients. The rest of the menu is great as well. I consider Ciros a head above the other pizza places in the area. They have an amazing fleet of delivery vehicles (5 small SUVs), so I must not be alone in my preference.

I love the thin crust. Great pie. And they use the real pepperoni, not the horrible donkey Kong fake pepperoni. I grew up on the island and had every pizza. Deninos is not what it used to be and I still enjoys Brothers. But Ciros is a great pie. If you want to talk history, lets start with Pal Joeys.

Love Ciros both here and in Staten Island; although this location is much much more desirable. Peasant staff, awesome food, pasta dishes are amazing, thin crusted pizza is awesome. Its a BYOB! It is a but noisy when crowded. Overall a delicious meal and pleasant atmosphere.

Well to start off the pizza had way to much tomato sauce. Secondly it tasted like crap not food! The bread was fine but not the best. Goodfellas on Hylan Blvd. is much better, dont order from these people there rude, discusting and make crappy pizza.

I had a plain slice and a white slice. Both had a well made thin crust that was capable of being folded and support the weight of the pizza without falling apart. The cheese and sauce tasted to be of good quality.

They have very good food and I love their sauce. However they are on the expensive side and charge for delivery! Id give them 5 stars if it wasnt for that and Id give them 3 stars if the food wasnt as good.

The pizza is always good. The take-out deal on Monday and Tuesday are worth it. The main dishes are good too. Parking isnt great, and the prices are steep. Sometimes delivery can take a while.

Good food. Love the eggplant fries and their vodka sauce. They charge a delivery fees and the girls who take phone orders need phone etiquette training.
