I really tried to like this place, but I have been disappointed every time Ive been there. The coffee is ok, but the service is absolutely awful. I spend $5-$15 a day at Starbucks and as ridiculous as that is, it wouldnt be as bad if it was going to a small business. I tried. Every time Ive gone in they have treated me as if they were doing me a favor by serving me. Today I went in holding my infant in a car seat. I was standing at the counter waiting to be served- two female employees were behind the counter and didnt even acknowledge me. They seemed a little busy, but not even a hello. Not even a Ill be with you in a minute. It was literally as if I wasnt there. At least at Starbucks they greet you when you walk in. After 5 minutes I walked out without making a purchase and Im never going there again. The beauty of a small business is fostering a relationship with your customers, not making them feel like a bother.

just imagine that you are dining in a friends nicely kept home with a great mom-cooked meal, and this is how you feel at Beans and Leaves. The waffle with blueberries was out of this world. And the blueberries were definitely fresh and generously added. Most importantly, the workers showed very caring and personal service towards us. They answered our questions without making us feel like a job. Lastly, the coffee is good. As someone speaking from a "coffee snobish" perspective, I can assure you that the normal drip coffee was a good balenced dark cup of coffee. If you like some purpousfully mild bitter flavor behind your coffee that stands up well to a black, with cream, or sugar kind of preference, then youll love there coffee. No doubt they know what theyre doing, and make you feel welcome doing them.

Service - 1 star, bakery - 5 stars. Baked goods taste good. Bubble tea ok, wish they put more bubbles and cooked them prior putting in the cup, because they were dry inside. Need to work on management, 5 people behind the register and Im standing waiting till someone acknowledge me that they will take care of me as soon as possible,5-8min later some guy from kitchen coming and start taking orders for people behind me and charging them. While Im still waiting. Looked like some people didnt know what they were doing. Mind me, they were only 4-5 people in the line and 5 people behind the register working, also people on the kitchen and they couldnt serve any faster or give better service. Will stop by again for baked goods, not sure if I will be able to wait for my tea/coffee for 15 min.

Full disclaimer: I dont like coffee, so when I was first told to go to Beans and Leaves, I wondered why. Now I know. Hot Chocolate and Waffles. The choices are many for both. Ive had everything from Bacon(Yes, Bacon) Hot Chocolate to Mint, and each one has been better then the last one. Even the tea is top notch. The waffles are huge, filling and just downright tasty. Everything about this outpost of excellence is right, and this, not some starbucks, is what this island truly deserves.

Awesome place, great coffee, good people, wonderful atmosphere. So what are you waiting for?! If you have not already go join the Beans Fam. Promise you will become obsessed like everyone else. This place has so much character and has a special place in my heart. It gives our community somewhere happy to go have a cup of coffee with friends. It feels like Brooklyn or Manhattan, but conveniently local on the island!!!

The coffee is beyond delicious and they are constantly adding new items to their already impressive menu. They turn a simple idea into something addictive (their waffles, their croissant French toast, even their oats are better than anywhere else Ive had). Its a great spot to meet friends or to sit and take care of paperwork. The staff is friendly and attentive. Everyone should go there and see for themselves.

Just discovered this gem and love the cozy feel of this cute coffee shop unlike a corporate Starbucks vibe. The lady who made my coffee was very nice and conversed with all customers. I just ordered a regular coffee as a midday wake up, but I could tell the quality of the coffee is good. Theres a lot of outdoor seating and the gazebo is a nice touch. A really good spot to just sit outside and enjoy the weather.

First timer. They have teas, coffee hot or cold, frappe and a good list of specialty Belgian waffles. The Belgian waffles are really good and very filling! I had the Nutella topped and my wife had the Capń Crunch Berry topped waffle. You wont regret it.

From the moment I discovered this place I knew this would be my second home. My sister and I bond every chance we get over the flavor of the day. My only gripe is that they only have two arm chairs. Excellent service, excellent products.

I love this place and always have. I dont get out to Staten Island as often as I used to, but whenever I go, I have to stop here. I live and die for the toasted marshmallow iced latte and the cake-flavored blended ice drink.

One star because I had to wait damn 2 hours just to get a table then another hour to get my food( I had a waffle!) and I got disgusting food . I felt nauseous walking out of there. Definitely I would never go there again

Food and drinks where delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was busy but we got a table and we where severed pretty fast all-around great place. I would highly recommend stopping in if youre the in area.

I ordered an iced coffee and a waffle with banana and chocolate syrup, it was very tasty ! I found it a little but expensive (10$ overall) but If you take the Staten Island Ferry for free, its worth it !

The waffles were terrible. They were very heavy and dense. Took two bites and threw the rest out. Its called beans and leaves but the coffee was terrible as well. Would not recomend wasting money there.

First time there and it was great. Food was out of this world, the frozen hot coco was great very chococlety dont get the lemonade it was like water with lemon. But I will be going back soon

Wouldnt go back. Their waffles are a joke. Even though we got them shortly after ordering they were soft and soggy, they only look good in the pictures. Bubble tea wasnt the best.

I love this place! Food is great, coffee/tea options are endless. My only complaint is lack of seating, but wait is never too long maybe 10 minutes max.
