I will be contacting the better business bureau about this business and their inappropriate attempts to charge more money to my card AFTER the order was concluded.... but thats just a small detail. After ordering a pizza on Yelp this business called me to accuse me of wrongly ordering a pizza. I selected the option yelp provided for "Peppers on half" and specified in the comments that I would like the peppers to be jalapeno or some other hot pepper, if possible. I was treated as though I was trying to steal peppers. 30 sec later the caller agreed that he saw the problem now and everything was okay, that he needed to speak with yelp to update their ordering options. Later that night I recieved an e-mail informing me they would be charging me an additional 80 cents for my extra toppings! ?!?! Before that happened, I was willing to let everything slide. I wasnt going to cancel my credit card as I now have. The pizza showed up warm, with no plates, no napkins and no requested marinara on the side, all of which the initial caller also verified and assured would be there. I called to see if he would care about the lack of those things, since he was so anxious to call me when he thought he was 0.80 short. I was relying on the meal I ordered, to come with everything I ordered. I informed the business while their delivery driver was still on the property that I would not be paying for this condition of food or service and that they should come take their wet warm pie if that was a problem. The operator told me to "do what you need to do." So I am. Ill never order another La Luna pizza and this is my attempt to implore you to also spend your money elsewhere, or at least somewhere that wont post additional charges to your account after agreeing the problem is on their end and then deliver you a sub par pizza AND argue that its not cold! "It cant be cold" he said. . . later he reasoned with me that there are "7 stoplights to go through between us". . . So, on one hand he addimately argues that the pizza was hot but in the same breath wants to blame its "warmth" or lack of. . . on traffic lights. 2 questions. 1. Why do they not use a simple hot box or bag for their pies? 2. Have they ever looked at google maps? Because if so, he might realize that the people they are trying to BS has a perfect birds eye view of their location. . . less than 1 mile away. Anyhow, its been more than obnoxious and a decent inconvenience this evening once i got their e-mail informing me of extra charges. I told this place on the front end that I was not ok w any additional charges and that if that was a problem I would gladly order elsewhere. Beyond frustrated and wishing Id chosen Mc Donalds, or delivery from a Dominos or Little Caesars 45 mi away instead, at least it would have been "hot AND ready" Thats a joke, I try not to eat substandard food like the above mentioned, that is, usually.

Save your money when looking to order pizza in Poughkeepsie and do not order from La Luna. Not even worth 1 star. We ordered pizza from La Luna last weekend resulting in a far from desirable experience. The pizza was quoted at being delivered in 20-30 minutes. The delivery boy ended up leaving the pizza in the hotel lobby without making any real effort to get to us hot or on time. Subsequently, the pizza that arrived at our hotel was ice cold and looked as though the delivery boy had kicked the box down the sidewalk. Outrageous! Not to mention that the order was only half filled. The restaurant must have run out of garlic knots, so they elected to just leave the total the same and deliver the order regardless. When I called to speak to a manager, the restaurant was closed and there was no way to get in touch or even leave a call back number. Further, when I called the next day to speak with someone, I was told that this couldnt have happened and that they would need to speak to their boss to see if any refund could be offered. I left my name and call back number with a promise from them that I would hear from them the following day. Two days passed before on my own time, I called the restaurant to speak with their manager again. Again, I was told that this couldnt have happened and it was impossible that they would have delivered a cold pizza to our hotel. They offered no apology or refund of any kind and kept the grand total to the price that included a product that we never received. An overall terrible experience!! The store manager, Chad, should learn a few things about customer service and take pride in the product that he puts his name on. A little integrity here would go a long way. I will continue to spread the word to everyone in this area that they should order their pizza from a place other than La Luna.

Hey Guys, Im new to the Area, actually I came down from Boston with my family. With that being said we decided to check out the local area.We stumbled upon this Pizza/Restaurant called La Lunas pizza In midtown Poughkeepsie. The owner,(Chad) had waited on us and was extremely polite. When I say the food we had was the best,I MEAN IT WAS THE BEST!!! We liked it so much we decided to all get take-out so we would have some good Italian food for the next day.The place was extremely clean and well organized.Their was one thing that wasnt on the menu and Chad made it for me.Guys, the food is fantastic! If you want good Italian food with very reasonable prices, then Come to La Lunas.Oh yeah....You get nice size servings!. I recommended many people and they all said they loved it.Chad, Thanks again & I will be back!

That was the worst pizza Ive had in a long time!! The pizza dough was tough!! I ordered a stuffed pizza.....it says meatball, sausage, ham, peppers, spinach, mozzarella, and sauce. I got no sausage, no meatball, and no sauce. I only got ham, steak ems instead of meatballs, peppers and mozzarella cheese which they were skimpy on. That pie is over $20 but in tasteing it, it was worth $5. I also ordered garlic knots that were simply horrible. They were hard and chewy!!!!!! It took them 45 mins to bring me garbage!! I will never order from them again!!!!!!

The quality of this restaurant has gone down. We are (were) frequent customers and good tippers, which did nothing to change their service. They consistently take about 45 minutes or more to deliver. Their "large" pizza often looks like a medium or a small. We started ordering from here because their pizza is better than others weve tried, but we also want to get our moneys worth.

Fine pizza, bad service. The young women on the phone took the order incorrectly and the manager wasnt accommodating after I explained the problem. I ordered a salad for four people and ended up with four separate salads or enough for an army and had to pay for them even though I didnt order them. I recommend the manager be more considerate in the future. -John Hamilton
