I work in the area, food is good but the people that work there are very rude. They spect customer to know every single think that is on the menu. If for some reason you dont know what is it call and try to explain to them... they interrupt you and get mad about it, basically treat you with rudeness or should i said discrimination . Specially on the back where you need to order food. if for some reason is not correct your food and you tell them... forget it! One of the employees ( i wish o know her name) she even yell and banged on the desk. What a rude person... for not saying another word. In any case is not the first time that it happen. I have seen many times with other customers. I guess they get 4 stars for the food because for the service i will give them 0.

The best (and probably only) fast-food Chinese spot in FiDi East. There are a couple of other small shops around, but this place is the best. The high volume of customers essentially guarantee good turnover of their food (i.e., fresh!). They have a weight-based buffet which is pretty extensive as well as premade dishes in steam trays. They also will make things (super quickly) off their extensive menu. The service is ... efficient. Theres one guy who is competing for the role of Chinese "soup nazi" and doesnt have time for your dawdling - so choose quickly. Lots of seating on the main floor and even more upstairs. -1 Star for not having the BBQ chicken that I loved from the Yips in midtown and for charging extra to do a combo.

This place is what we were looking for! We were on a vacation to NYC from Nebraska, after visiting the 911 Memorial this was a great lunch stop. Large steam table with so many choices. We stopped in just after 1pm and the place was packed. It was also really hot on the first level. I had spring roll and generals chicken. Its priced per pound and we both had a can of soda and more than we could eat for $15.00 I wish I could go there often. The only thing that is stopping me is 1000+ miles. Ok - it was probably <65 degrees outside and it was probably 82+ inside the restaurant. I was hot! I guess its part of the experience? IDC the food was legit Get some!!!!

Visited New York City with my family of five and decided to visit the Financial District. Finding Ho Yip was like finding a diamond in the rough. As a family we were trying to keep our expenses our low, while still trying to enjoy everything the big city had to offer. Ho Yip was a restaurant that spacious, very clean and served up some pretty good food with a great price point. My family are heavy eaters and we got 5 entrees with appetizers and drinks for around 32 dollars. I would reccomend this to anyone in the Financial District area hoping to get some fresh chinese food and living on a tight budget.

I was down by the World Financial Center and was hungry for a quick bite. My friend suggested getting food here, since he had it before and said it tasted good. I ordered the Thai chicken and string beans over brown rice and it really tasted good! The chicken was slightly crunchy and tender, and the Thai sauce made the whole dish even better! The price was very reasonable, and like all their other dishes on their menu, it was also set at a fair price. There are enough seats to sit if you decide to stay, and there are plenty of options to choose from if youre hungry!

One of the cleanest Chinese restaurants that Ive ever been to. Very spacious that can accommodate the large Wall Street crowds during the lunch hour. Good prices especially in Manhattan and in that area at around $7. *** I ordered the Thai chicken and quality wise it was on par with those in the outer boroughs. The portion is smaller than I expected. *** They have different lunch special items for different days. Similarly, you would find that at any Dominican or Spanish restaurant places during lunch. *** Customer service is friendly.

Очень дешево и довольно вкусно, особенно курица в соусе терияки. Одно из лучших мест для бюджетного туриста. Рядом с кафе отличный парк, куда можно прийти с едой из кафе и перекусить, это если в кафе не будет свободных мест.

Had a craving for Chinese takeout so I thought Id try this place. The quality of the food was horrible. The so called chicken was full of fatty very slimy textured pieces and larger pieces had a very hard texture i have yet to encounter when eating chicken. Additionally, the food had tons of sodium/salt, which overpowered the dish. I get much better quality and flavor at my local place for half the price. Never again! I had to throw it all out as it was unedible.

The food here is pretty good, and priced very reasonable for its location. there is a self served buffet bar (food by the pound), which has a good selection to choose from especially if you want to sample more than one dish. they have specials during the different days of the week. during lunch time, the place is usually packed, so either go a little earlier of after the common lunch period.

The Wonton noodle soup was really delicious. As was the sushi (which surprised me because it was just a regular type roll). The service was good, too. However, I think the main dishes we had (a chicken with peppers dish, and a black bean fish dish) were just alright. Their fried pork dumplings skin was way too thick for my taste, and the house friend dumpling was also just okay.

超棒的廣東中式餐廳。超冷的下雪天吃一碗熱熱的牛腩湯麵,老闆人超親切的!價錢相對其他餐廳實在是好吃又實惠!推薦給所有來紐約想念家鄉味的華人!

This place is really basic. Order at a counter and bring food to cafeteria style tables. So no ambience, bit feels like many basic places Ive seen in Hong Kong. The food was fine. Veggies very not over cooked and chicken fine. I based my rating on the quite reasonable prices, given its location.

Great Hong Kong style Chinese food. Am from Singapore and came back on two consecutive days because this is the closest to the Chinese food I can get back home at a convenient location and reasonable price. The wonton soup is the best I have tried in NYC.

Chinese fast food offering Hong Kong style dishes along with normal chinese favorites. Just found out they also have sushi. One of my favorite places for a cheap warm meal while working downtown. Highly recommended!

Tried this place recently and the food was fine, but the selection wasnt as good as at Yips in Beaver Street. Has the usual buffet selections and charge by the pound. Busy during lunch times on work days.
