Ran out of chocolate milk. I was heavily demised by that experience. Other than that food was exceptionally satisfactory. I would recommend to all that are okay with savoring a meal without milk of any flavoring. Also refused to take my plate. Gave me a chocolate milk in a styrofoam cup like I was a hoodrat. Left a single piece of zucchini at table after it was launched at me and my fellow people of service by a spatula. Servers name was jacky. I reccomend this "chef" per day is vacated off the premises and removed from all dining authority. Jacky also sadistically dangled chicken over an onion ring Flame. Overall this establishment was an exceptional worker with great potential... as long as he gets his act together. Okaeri was a dining experience that will be in my mind for a long period of time. I cant establish whether or not the experience was a quality one, but I can say there is certainly room for improvement.

We go out quite frequently and have been to many hibachi establishments before. This is by far the best our chef was jacky, he was amazing a younger guy with excellent knife skills and personality but one who knew how to develop the flavor! You know that so many can do one or the other but not both. Our waiter, Eric was equally impressive remembered everything and was so attentive. Also, another young guy with great personality; so hard to find these days. Lastly, the owner should be commended for more than training the staff. The food quality was much higher than you normally find. The scallops were super plump and when they hit the grill showed nearly no water. Which means they are not only very large they are dry sea scallops, very expensive. The beef was tender very generous in portion. Very amazing meal! Lann Rubin II Wappingers falls

So far so good. Being a new place, we were unsure what the turn out would be. They were a kind and courteous staff, the place was clean, the prices were average or just below for hibachi, the food portions were average or just above, and our chef "Jack" cooked everything perfectly. I would recommend to everyone. Imho, Okaeri blows Gasho out of the water. We normally eat at Mr. Sushi in Middletown or Mt. Fuji in Hillburn which are both excellent choices. These are the places I am comparing Okaeri to when I say their food and prices are average.

This is the best hibachi we have ever eaten. Not only was the table chef very personable and entertaining, he also cooked everything to perfection. Usually hibachi meats are overcooked, tough and dry. These were not. The filet mignon, both the rare and the well done ones, were perfect. The chef had us try a piece to make sure it was to our liking. The scallops, lobster, shrimp and salmon were also perfectly cooked. We are never going anywhere else for hibachi!

I work in the same plaza and this is my new lunch spot! I love this place. Totally blows Gasho out of the water. The atmosphere is awesome and the staff is absolutely amazing. Theyre not too expensive either and the food is to die for and is very fresh. Amazing restaurant!

The hibachi is pretty good here as far as the food goes. There isnt a speck of carpet in this place, so you can imagine how loud it gets between clanging of utensils and screaming kids. The food is superior to Gasho up the road and the value is better here.

Excellently prepared. Big portions. Best hibachi Ive had anywhere. Hole in the wall bc its in a strip mall but its great. Will go back!! Fried rice was awesome too. Loved the noodles and shrimp. Very reasonable for lunch.

Great sushi, great hamachi and friendly staff they would have probably gotten 5 stars if they had a bar. My husband and I like to get the scorpion bowls in other restaurants and they only have bottles of beer or saki.

The food was good, but the service was very bad. We were ignored when waiting to be seated. The staff of all kinds walked past us many times. The table service was haphazard and inattentive. Food was good.
