Please save yourself the trip down here if youre just going for food. My girlfriend and I just left miserable. The "half pound burger" was the size of a hockey puck and the wings my girlfriend ordered were tiny dry and over priced. I asked the girl why the bread she put on the table was stale and she shook her head as she took it back. The burger I asked for which was medium arrived completely rare and when I asked for it to be fixed they just threw my patty back on the grill instead of making a new one which would have had a cost of about a buck. I did tip a dollar and five cents though which I thought was too much. The fries were OK but some much more cooked than others

Oh The Wicked Monk... Let me count the ways... Whether youre looking for a friendly pub to day-drink at and relax to a hopping mad place at night with live music, TWM has you covered on both ends of the spectrum. A true Irish pub (the owner is from Cork, Ireland I believe - which is actually a great city) good times are sure to be had here. From several drinks on tap to top shelf liquor, they have something for everybody and prices that are about average. The decor, well, youll have to see for yourself. A bit twisted and gothic, but with a higher-class vibe than your local dive bar (slightly).

Dont order the shepherds pie. It was made with lamb chunks, no peas and no grated cheese over the mash. Owner is trying to tell me thats how shepherds pie is. Dude. I grew up eating that. And Ive eaten it in restaurants a thousand times pal. Its supposed to be ground lamb. Not glorified pot pie. Im not an American. I know shepherds pie!

Try everything! Weve been here so many times and have never been disappointed. Check out the wine and beer lists too, they have some really great choices. Also, make sure to took at the ceiling over the bar! Its a great place for date night and if you stay a little later, theres good music and fun atmosphere.

Drinks are good and the crowd can be good, only issue is the live bands now I have only been here 3 times so it could be coincidence that the set up was wrong those times that I went but the drummer always seems to be at a higher volume then the singer or anyone else. Which ends up giving me a headache.

A staple in Bay Ridge that moved locations and evolved. Great music and acoustics when there is a band. Decor, nothing like it. The food and drinks are great as well. Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese is spicey and enough for 85 people. The quesadilla with pulled pork is phenomenal. Good job.

This is what happens when a neighborhood pub evolves. Great, large, rotating beer selection that covers literally all bases; tasty cocktails and an inventive menu with delicious food. Not to mention the fantastic decor made to look like a medieval monastery. Check it out if youre in the area.

Food is okay. Service is good. The girl we had was good. We felt well taken care of. I like it but its not a place i would frequent. Prices are a tad high imo. Other guys in the office suggest that place. I personally wouldnt. Again, not a bad place just not my ambience.

The food was fair @ best. overpriced for bar food. staff was friendly, but extremely slow! the acoustics are horrible. not even crowded for a Sunday brunch, but so noisy you could hardly hear yourself. for the money, there are better places to eat in bay ridge.

Burger was huge, some creative menu items. Space was a bit tight but they handled our group (4 large tables of approx 12+ each) well. Made note of my food allergies and checked in the back if I could eat certain items. Decent place, Id consider coming back.

Great bar to just go watch sports at or to grab some dinner. Also they usually have pretty good cover bands. Id say there food is a few steps up from bar food. And Ive tried a few of there Mac and Cheeses. there pretty tasty as well.

It can get very crowded and noisy, especially during sports events (which may not be a negative, depending on what youre looking for), but the staff is friendly and the various mac-and-cheese dishes are excellent.

Soup of the day and most apps are fine, but come here for the MacnCheese. There are several, and very large portions. Full bar. The kitchen has sometimes been closed earlier than their posted time.

Girlfriend had a great birthday party. Best part was the band playing happy birthday. Manager was a very nice guy who organised everything perfectly. Will be back again.

Good beer menu and well-executed pub food. The scene during daylight hours, at least, is pretty laid back and enjoyable, though I dont go when things are hopping.
