I want to thank Kevin and the staff at Cafe Panache. They are truly professionals. The wait staff is attentive but low key, and so respectful. They may know you by your first name but always greet you by Mr. or Mrs.....Kevins wife Christy, who happened to be there the night we went to dinner for a friends birthday, made sure we were well taken care of like the rest of the patrons, fabulously! If you want a great meal with unbelievable savory dishes, this is the place to go. I started with the curried mussels, there was not a mussel to be found and absolutely no sauce that a piece of bread could dip into. Fresh ingredients, Kohler started the Farm to table in Bergen County from Abmas, makes this a place to go if you want real fresh food, made with "love". Kevin is passionate-even after 20+ years at Cafe Panache, and it shows. There is not a dish or service that is not first class. Go there for dinner, a celebration, or for a date, you will not be disappointed. A mainstay in Ramsay for over 20 years, when others have tried to copy, they fail. Go and try Panache, you will not be disappointed. By the way, the decor is by his wife, Christy, of CK Designs, its sleek, modern and clean. You will enjoy every minute of it! And get the Filet Mignon Ravioli! The Best!

Reservations are a must as we were there mid-week and there wasnt a single open table. The food is relatively well prepared (sometimes certain items can be a tad overdone) and the service is wonderful. The menu is great because the chef is constantly making changes as certain ingredients become available, so you are always kept on your toes not knowing what the menu will have in store for you this visit. Bring a couple varieties of wine with you since you may not be sure about what you will be ordering that night. Its a wonderful restaurant.

I really enjoyed the food... the only problem here was the food didnt like me. I had scallop special because the waiter was telling me how fresh they were. Needless to say, I was ill for the next 3-4 days and had to cancel my weekend plans because I was stuck home dealing with digestive issues. For such a highly rated restaurant, they should check their sources more closely. I guess a bad batch is bound to happen anywhere, but it wasnt pretty. Also, their zabaglione was terribly sour.

My wife and I have given this restaurant a try a few times and every time we are both let down. The entrees are literally drowning in sauce and the entire meal did not taste fresh. Service was okay and the atmosphere was okay but the food is a major let down every time I have eaten here. This will be my last time eating at this establishment. I dont know how or why this place has such a good reputation when there are many other restaurants nearby with much high quality chefs.

Cafe Panache is a spectacular restaurant! As a young couple my wife and I found this restaurant 20 years ago. It became our special place to go to celebrate events. For the last 10 years we live in Maryland outside of DC and it was incredible to go back this weekend and enjoy the wonderful meal that Kevin and his team prepared. Such a special place, Great food, terrific service. I only wish they would move down here.

Atmosphere: Cozy, good for a special occasion or relaxed dining Food: Of what we had, 3/4 dishes were good. One was OK. Service: Not sure if this falls under the usual definition of service but deducting stars for not attending to my special request on it being a special occasion for us. Price: Not super expensive. In Googles terms, probably $$$ (3).

Terrible, Diner food is better at a diner so save your money! Both me and my husband left hungry as the meat was overcooked, small portions, Flourless cake was like regular cake from a diner and my husbands apple tart is better at grocery store. Slow service as tip is already added in so they arent as concerned. The decor is beautiful.

Dont understand all the bad reviews. My husband and I had a wonderful dinner here this past Saturday. The food, soup to nuts, was all very well prepared and delicious. The service which was extremely attentive early in the evening did get a little slow as it got more crowded but never so slow that it presented a problem.

kevin kohler continues his mastery in this bergen county favorite. that the service is so masterful in the relatively tight quarters is testament to the well-run ship that this restaurant is.
