There is lots of Middle Eastern food in Paterson, but Taskin is the place for savory baked goods to go. Their long flatbreads, assorted boreks and pastries variously featuring ground meat, cheese or olives are all good, although unfortunately it can be difficult for English-speakers who arent part of the community to receive clear responses to just what is in any particular item and the selection does vary on different days.

As a Turk, I mostly do not like Turkish food places in foreign countries. And I was right again. A below average bakery compared to bakeries in Turkey. I tasted better breads even in New Jersey. And Borek was too oily and not very tasty. I would expect more...Prices are manageable..

I came in to purchase bread and turkish simit however this time their simit was close to stale which is not normal and disappointing even though I asked for a fresh batch. Hopefully they dont repeat their decision to sell less than quality bread and simit again.

Nice variety of Turkish breads, but pretty expensive. And the employees keep staring at you to pay and get out quick. Its like they dont want you to explore and buy more. They seem in a rush to collect money. Cash only.

I often get their pide bread to have with pasta. It may be the best bread Ive ever had. Its so delicious especially with some olive oil, I literally would rather have that than dessert.

Simit was not fresh. I am very dissapointed to serve this special breakfast bagel to my American guests in this morning. They dpnt even care about customer satisfaction. Wake up.

Best barbari ever! You can ask them for super khashkhashi barbari 2 am and they will prepare it in 20 min ! AWESOME ! bakhlavas are also really good

Walnut baklava was awesome ... I had a Steve Martin burger effect as in Pink Panther. Turkish delight is also good. Definitely recommended.
