Absolutely horrendous service! First off the food is mediocre at best. The brunch foods are better at McDonalds which is pathetic considering its 20 times the price. Only vaguely redeemable part was the penne... Thats it. We tried a little of everything: the French toast was dry and tasteless, sausage gummy, and good lord the drinks were either just juice or had some sort of cheap booze in it. My favorite part was no menu being offered, our waiter asking what we want to drink and then he not knowing what they were when we asked . One mimosa was just OJ and the other flat bitter wine (allegedly prosecco). Now on to the fun part: the service. We had a gift card, which we expected to use and were never informed otherwise when calling to make the reservation that we couldnt. First our waiter thought it was a coupon, which we told him it obviously wasnt, kind of a big difference. These which you allegedly cant use on holidays (which by state law is illegal but I digress). We didnt know that was their rule and were really upset. We wouldnt have driven all the way out there had we known. We tried to explain this to 2 waiters and then a manager, who was astoundingly rude to us! She was snotty and just plain offensive. She actually threatened to call the cops on us if we didnt pay... All we wanted to do was use a gift card we already paid for.... On top of all that they built in a 20% TIP FOR A BUFFET. Because there is definitely service at those........ Needless to say we will never be coming back and will be getting our money back for the gift cards. You should never leave a customer in tears.

I keep trying to give this place another chance, but I am done. Yes, its on the lake. Thats it. Thats all they have going for them. They know this too, because the effort they put into everything, from the service, to the food, shows they just dont care. Its the only explanation I can think of. Their bread is always stale, the drinks are watered down - even their silverware and cups are consistently dirty. The food comes out cold. The calamari tastes like a rubber tire. I can just go on and on. Ive lived in the area for 7 years, and every once in a while I forget how terrible the place is and try it again. I will not be doing this anymore. Why am I on Yelp right now? They just went through their facebook page and deleted ALL of their bad reviews?! How is this even allowed? Anyway, I thought I would come here and properly review them. Just go to Alices on the other side of the lake. Still not the best place ever, but if youre set on sitting by the lake to eat or drink, you will enjoy your experience more.

Im going to go back to this place on the 1st day of Never! The way this place is run I cant believe its not in the ground! AS a server myself to have seen what I witnessed tonight with the amount of servers they have on ( I must have seen 8 or 9 servers & what i think was a busboy) & there were only 2 other tables on next to us & maybe a small party inside... I cant believe these people make any money! The food was subpar... The floor in the bathrooms were skeavy to say the least! The tables outside were gross the deck was gross There were flies in our "oil" for our bread! The service was good my server was friendly & funny & was up front & honest about things on the menu. Overall I would not go back! Not to a place where I see the bartenders doing shots with the owner when im getting flies in my oil Thats just tacky!!! take care of your business & think about the people that work for you they dont want to stand around while you drink... Again TACKY! Thumbs down for bad business!!!!!!

Went to Pavinci for my birthday; setting is pretty on Lake Hopatcong but thats where my kudos end for this restaurant. Cannot comment on the food because we were never served or even had a waiter/waitress come over to the table. This was the most unprofessional restaurant Ive ever been to. The hostess sat us and that was the last we saw of any employee at out our table. Waitress walked around with miserable looks on their face as if they didnt want to be there; not one of them came over to our table with anything, place settings, water, bread or just a "give me a minute and I will be back". They basically ignored us as if we didnt exist. After being ignored for 15-20 minutes, we got up and left. As we were walking out, the hostess asked if she should tell a waitress to come to the table. At this point, I was fuming and said, do yourself a favor and fire your waitress/waiter staff; no manager/owner or anyone else was present. WILL NEVER GO BACK TO PAVINCI!!!!!!!

First off the food was horrible and way over priced. You can have a much better meal at Applebees, or White Castle for that matter. Any how I went there last night with my family for dinner and the owner told me that I had to leave for underaged drinking. The only thing was Im 21 and I WASNT DRINKING. I showed him my ID three times in a row and he still told me that I had to leave. And he called the cops! I never said a word to him and I was just sitting at my table with my family. Maybe it was because Im white? We were a party of 30 buddy, way to lose customers that have been going there for years and years. We knew half the people in the place, all the regulars! And I will be telling everyone what you did.

"Never again" isnt enough. I want my brain wiped of this experience entirely. My girlfriend orders water and shes given a water bottle without a glass. The overpriced food was so greasy that I maybe ate about a 5th of it before ceasing to ignore my protesting stomach. The service could be summed up with blank expressions and empty promises. We got better service from the busboy that gave us our utensils than the waitress. Funny thing, I went to a chain restaurant the next day and got actual service, digestible food with enjoyable taste, and paid less than half the price. Total disappointment.

We had a delicious dinner there and the view of the lake was so pretty. We started with Calamari Fritti enough to share and they were perfect. I had Chicken Vestito that was so good and my husband had Veal Scaloppini. The waitress was so friendly and attentive. The portions were also enough to take home for another meal. So all in all it was a nice dining experience and would recommend them. They also had a full bar playing a trivia game and it seamed like they were all having fun.

Location is good w/ nice view of the lake. Boats come up to dock near the porch - very nice. Food left a lot to be desired. Scallops were fishy, risotto was VERY undercooked, lamb was a little tough and quite bland. Wine list doesnt tell you which brands are served by the glass and server has no idea so you are flying blind. Prices are higher than what they should be for the quality of the food. Bummer b/c the layout and location are quite nice.
