I took my teenage sons here for dinner and had a terrific meal for less than $30.00! Chips and Salsa on the table, then just made fresh brewed iced tea for me and my 17 year old. I enjoyed the Chicken Chimichanga which was stuffed with Sauteed strips of Chicken and Cheese fried nicely and served with a platter of rice, beans, lettuce, tomato and sour cream. The only thing that needs work were the beans. I asked for salsa verde to spice it up and it was DELICIOUS! My older son ordered Tostadas, one beef and one chicken - He LOVED them commenting they were better than our usual place. Nice and crispy, again with strips of grilled steak and chicken all the usual toppings fresh avocado and authentic mexican cheese :)) My youngest chose Beef Tacos, he had to ask for lettuce and tomato but it was brought out right away. His Tacos were stuffed with grilled steak and came with great french fries... to his delight he washed it down with pineapple soda. All in all a GREAT FIND, Inexpensive, casual, clean, good service, quick and DELICIOUS Mexican Food in Downtown Freehold. I will be going back!

Ive lived all over the US, places like New Mexico, Texas, Colorado, and Arizona. This restaurant offers the most authentic Mexican Food Ive found in Monmouth County. Everything is fresh and made to order. The wait staff is limited but very friendly and efficient. Since everything is fresh, the wait time is longer than some but the food is wonderful and priced right. The tables are cozy but it is quiet and a reminds me of the smaller restaurants in New Mexico and Arizona. The chili verde is just right...try it...you wont be disapointed. My wife and I are regulars there now and we are happy to have some really good Mexican food in Freehold!! Dont believe the negative posts....they must have never eaten really good mexican food!

Terrible food. If there are no diners eating when you walk into a restaurant, as was the case here, thats not a good sign. But we decided to stay and give it the benefit of the doubt. We both ordered fajitas, and the food was flavorless, under-seasoned, and overcooked. Some of my vegetables were actually crunchy. The rice that came with the fajitas was just plain white rice that had been boiled and salted, not Mexican rice. The beans looked like theyd just been poured from a can, and it tasted like someone had put beer in them. And the waitress actually asked us if we wanted tortillas with our fajitas, and maybe Im mistaken, but Ive always thought tortillas were kind of a given when youre ordering fajitas. Wont be going back.

This restaurant is the closest thing to traditional Mexican food. The service is fabulous, the food is simply delicious. I will be back again and again. Not only is it clean, The atmosphere is superb. Great to go out with friends to this place, or you can also have a quiet romantic evening. When we got the check last time, we thought we got the wrong check… The pricing is more than reasonable. Great to take the whole family, and you wont get slammed with a big bill at the end of the evening. Summertime is great too. They have outdoor dining so you wont miss any of the outdoor entertainment in freehold.

Although the service may not be the best (hence the four stars instead of five), for the few times Ive been here, the food has always shone brightly. Theres almost no way to make a mistake! When I first came with my brother, we were thinking of starting a Mexican food tour around the state but abandoned the idea by the time we made the next trek. Im pleased to say that this has become a go to place for Mexican food in the area and I keep longing to come back whenever Im near Freehold! If youre ever in the area and looking at the other places around, dont pass this one up!

GROSS. It was awful, and Ill eat just about anything. Ive had microwaved 7-11 sandwiches that were better than this. They claimed they were "out of empanadas" which simply entails dough and meat - how the hell does a Mexican restaurant run out of dough and meat? This basically means they get their food from the freezer section in Shoprite, drop it in the fryer, and cherge you 12 bucks. The meat was dry and tasted what I would imagine is a peg above dog food. How this place has a rating of a 3.7 is beyond me. Never going back.

An absolute gem! Right in the heart of Freehold in W. Main St. this Mexican restaurant definitely delivers some of the finest & most authentic food Ive had yet to date. Im originally from North Jersey and have eaten at a plethora of Mexican restaurants throughout North NJ & NYC. The value that this place delivers along with the quality of food is definitely far beyond excellent. I highly recommend this place!

Cute place, great food, low prices. The place was spotless. Service was great. Their food is very fresh, from the meat to the legumes. Everything was made to order. Definitely try the fresh lime drink. Chicken was tender and moist. The food was not overly salted or oily which I APPLAUD and dishes were served with some sort of salad or slaw. The value is astounding. Cant wait to go back again.

The service and food is excelent.... I recomend the torta. The torta is a mexican version of a hot sub. I had a torta al pastor but the torta de carne asada is a good choice too. The waitress was very well mannered. Over all I give this place a five out of five!!

The worst Mexican food Ive ever had. And the most expensive. Shrimp fajitas for lunch was $15 and you only get four shrimp. The tortillas are doughy and under cooked. The wait staff just sat and looked at their cell phones the entire time.

Just had the best Mexican food I have ever eaten. My whole family was impressed. The waitress was excellent and even brought us a tasting of the three enchilada sauces when we were debating which to order. We will be back soon!!!

Had a late lunch there with my Husband and Children. The service was good. Our waitress gave us all the time we needed to select and order our meals. The food was freshly made and delicious. We will be back!
