I happened to stop bye the carriage house while visiting friends on Culver Lake one time. Now, I make reasons to drive over two hours to go up there just so I can dine at the Carriage House! Everything on the menu is phenomenal. There are some familiar items, but also a lot of unique items like the spring rolls and pretzel roll appetizers. The prices are reasonable and the staff are always pleasant. I would recommend the carriage house to anyone who happens to be in the area or anyone looking for a scenic ride to a beautiful lakeside location. Absolutely fantastic restaurant!

Setting is beautiful. Prices are decent and the daytime bartender is wonderful. Staff is bit disorganized and we waited on lunch for over 45 minutes. The restaurant was not busy in the slightest, lots of empty tables at 2 pm. We both got the burrata open sandwich and it was decent. We were served sliced tomatoes with the stems in them and thick leaves of basil. The fries were delicious but I asked for them extra crispy and they were really just extra brown. This place could be great.... But its not.

Atmosphere is great with lake view and drive up boat slots for lake goers. The staff is always friendly however a bit short more than they should be. Drinks were perfect and food cooked great we will be back for sure just need some more items on menu and shouldnt charge extra for condiments on burgers. Other than that this place is much better then the previous owner. Thumbs up!

Its sad , The first time I came here we had a reservation. For 6, we all sat here till 7:30, and our food never came out so we left. So Im here again the second time. Had to wait 20 minutes for my wine these people were here hour and half before they got there appetizers. They are still waiting for there food. The sad part is the food us really good. But I will not return.

Terrible experience.... We were there right after they opened and it was a totally different experience. Food took forever then I was served brown lettuce and my husband was served a chicken breast on a piece of bread thats its. Told a manager would be over no one came, no toilet paper or paper towels in the holders. They wont be open for long if it keeps up like this

Pleasant and warm atmosphere. Very clean and beautiful plates. Bread served complimentary was warm and fresh. Was not very crowded for a Saturday evening, although food took a long time. Ordered new York strip, very good although my husbands "well done" request was very pink. Empty iced tea glass for 20 minutes. Paid $24 a plate and I get INSTANT mashed potatoes.

Since the first day they opened, we never had a bad or even so-so meal. Been there at least 10 times. One of our favs & we live in Hackensack. Its worth the ride. The service & severs have been excellent & Agnes, the owner, is not only a beautiful person outside but inside too. I swear we never met these people before. Its the best! Going again tomorrow! :)

Twice there. Twice disappointed: orders came wrong both times, including once when the kitchen made a substitution (without first asking me) for something I ordered which they didnt have. I didnt eat it and I was told it "came with the meal" so dont expect a reduced charge. We waited just about an hour for this food which was mediocre.

Came in for lunch and we had the pork paprikash and the Hungarian goulash,. Both extraordinary In flavor, texture and presentation. Agnes is the owner and has a Hungarian chef, you have to try these meals, Im sure everything else is great, but these are outstanding. Try it, youll love it.

Very good food and service. However fries and lettuce and tomato are extra for a burger!! How tasteless! Atmosphere very nice too until the locals came in to drink then got very loud. The bar area needs to have a wall around it to control noise levels

We had the Delaware Cheesteak. It was excellent! We spoke with the owner, she was very sweet and accommodating. The only thing I suggested to her was to put lights in the window showing theyre open. We almost left because we thought they were closed.

Food is good and the people are nice but the food took a long time. The place wasnt crowded at all and we had to ask them to bring out our salads. Will definitely be back and hope theyll figure out the kitchen operations by then.

Four out of 5 dishes not cooked through.... got a grilled cheese for my son and the cheese wasnt even 1/2 way melted With that being said staff and ownership did everything thing they could do to make it right.
