Went for dinner 9/17: PROS: -the decor/vibe if you are in the main room (not the sides) -edamame ravioli is very tasty CONS -Service was awful -Went the whole meal with no water refill -Waiter never even took my empty alcohol glass and didnt even ask if I wanted anything else -Took forever to try to get waiters attention that we just want water and the bill. -The vegetable Broccoli side was SOOOOO SALTY and OILY. so gross. -Everything on the menu is suppperrr oily -Mushroom Potstickers were super oily and lacked seasoning so you had to dunk them into the sauce repeatedly with every bite -I had Wasabi Crusted Filet Mignon $39. The wasabi crust was basically butter soaked crumbs with wasabi flavor...the super oily crust took away from the great cut of meat -I had the "Serenity" alcoholic beverage and it was basically juice; wasnt even sure if they added any sake at all.

Excellent service from Ezra, very informative! He answered every question we had flawlessly and made us feel very special even though he had a lot of other tables. He told us about the duck and sea bass which were amazing! His wine knowledge was great too! I will be recommending buddakan to my associates. The only issue we had was that the the managers were a little pushy. We explained to Ezra that we wanted to enjoy our meal and not be rushed (which he timed perfectly with great communication) , but a couple of female managers seemed to want us out of there to seat another table i guess. A tall cute blonde, and a shorter brunette with glasses addressed us several times and even brought us a check when we werent even finished yet. Ezra apologized and accommodated us professionally. Well definitely be asking for Ezra when we come back.

Waaaay too pricey for the amount of food you get. Read the outside menu which describes as large portions meant to be shared. After we sit down waitress says the entrees are more "individual sized". So we order anyway. Ordered edemame & potstickers (both appetizers not entrees mind you) & I get larger portions at our crappy sushi place back home. You get 5 potstickers and a small bowl of edemame. Bravo on suckering ppl in thinking they can share large portions amongst themselves AS ADVERTISED & delivering otherwise. Crab rice was gross...tasted like steamed rice with parsley thrown in. My brother ordered the king salmon and asked if it was a prince salmon bc it was so small lol. Hubby get the pad Thai.... it was OK but hard to mess something like that up. So in summation...false advertisement & overpriced for NO REASON.

The best dish we ordered was a side of chinese eggplant. The chicken ponzo with buddha buns was poorly executed and cheap tasting for an entree of over $20. The king crab tempura was similar to the fried seafood obtained at any local Chinese food restauraunt. The sashimi was overseasoned. Waygu beef sticks were pretty good. Our waitress was cordial but didnt take much time to explain things. The restauraunt is gorgeous, especially the main dining room. It is a bit dark in this restaurant, easily the darkest restaurant ive been in. Portions were advertised large but were not as expected, especially for the price of the items. Skip this place unless youre going for cocktails.

This place is amazing. My girlfriend and I come here for dinner everytime we visit Atlantic City. We went there today and everything was great. I want to give a shout out to our waiter Jordan he was beyond amazing. He was very attentive and went beyond our expectations. Not only did the food come out quickly but he always had a smile on his face and was on top of everything. There Happy Hour appetizers and drinks are really good and so is their dinner menu. The lamb chops here are to die for. I have tried many different places but at the end of the day this is the only place that I eat lamb chops from. If you have never been to Buddakan before definitely give it a try :)

Wow! - Simply outstanding. I love good food and good restaurants - and this one stands out. The atmosphere was very inviting (upscale Asian theme - with a large Budda at the end of a long communal table), and the service was freindly and helpful. But thats not what sets it apart. The food was simply outstanding. The edamame ravioli was creative and perfectly executed, the wild mushroom dumplings were wonderful, the vegetable fried rice was light but flavorful, and the star of our meal - the pan seared chilean sea bass melted in your mouth. The price was a little higher than I like - but for this quality in Atlantic City - I dont think you can complain.

Asian inspired dishes at best (rather than Japanese or Asian). Overall good experience with the service, food, and decor (though I was a little uncomfortable cutting my filet mignon with the giant Buddha in the middle of the main dining space). Only downside is the unbelievable wait I had to go through (45 minutes after my reservation). Cool website and great location. By the way, Yelpers love the deep fried monkfish, but while the fish is fresh, there was nothing spectacular about the dish. I loved the dry aged beef and poached tuna.

Its like dining on a Hollywood set, the place is truly stunning, and the food is very good, only blatant saltiness keeping it from being excellent. Its located on the third floor of the refurbished and exciting pier across the Boardwalk from Caesars, hanging over the ocean. Unfortunately the servers are trained to push drinks, appetizers, desserts, and cappuccino. The fifth query about a drink was just too much. Hard selling ruined the night.

All I can say is WOW. I have had fine dining before, but this is the first meal, top to bottom that I can say everything was excellent! The flavors are insane! It all marries! Tuna spring roll, edemame ravioli, sweet and spicy shrimp, lamb and vegetable fried rice. My head is spinning. This is true quality. It is worth every single cent. Wow.

This place is amazing. Went there in June 2013 and eating there was quite a treat. We ordered the food for takeout even though they were happily enough to accommodate us in their restaurant. The portion size were big but it was so delicious! I would definitely recommend stopping by here or any of their other locations.

Omg!! I felt like I was in Vegas!! Had the three course chef special. Everything, e v e r Y t h I n g, was soo good. The rice was cooked just right, perfect, the steak was prepared by a professional, so juicy, so tender, melts inyour mouth. You dont need a knife. The service is amazing! You get what you pay for...

We had high expectations when coming here. The ambience and seating was great, but food was disappointing. It was not spicy at all, I am not sure if they have spice levels as other restaurants does. We werent asked for how spicy our order needed to be done. You would probably need to ask for spicy food upfront.

Amazing Asian fusion, not typical of most restaurants they want you to share dishes. Plus the food came out in the order in which it was finished in the kitchen. So my food was amazingly fresh. The best Creme Brulee I have ever had. I honestly am looking forward to my next trip to AC just for this restaurant.

Beautiful resturant and great food. I dont recommend making a reservation for your anniversary though, because they will seat you 20 minutes after your reservation time, and put you next to the bathrooms where waiters are calling "corner" even though you specified that it was a special occasion.
