Nǐ hǎo! I live in New York and spend most of my summer and a good part of the winter at the seacoast in New Hampshire. I keep a boat at Rye Harbor and Little Bay and have been coming to the seacoast area since I was a kid with my parents. Ive been going to the Wok for about fifteen years now and love it there. The owner, hostesses and wait staff are always very friendly, smiling and helpful, the food is great, and the drinks are excellent. Its always busy for dinner and during the weekends, and is a favorite with the locals. Anita, Sarah, Sonny and the rest of the staff are always eager to recommend something delicious, and remember just about everybody that comes in, so you really feel at home. The menu is varied, the lunch special is a great deal, portions are generous, their specials are well thought out and sure to please, and the Chinese tea is fresh brewed at the table to order. The Hot and Sour soup is an excellent choice as well. It gets pretty busy on the weekends, especially at night, and summertime even more so, so there might be a short line at the door, but its definitely worth the wait. Parking can be a little difficult, since parking anywhere on Ocean Boulevard is always at a premium, but with a little patience and a few minutes wait, youre sure to get a spot. You wont be disappointed. Thanks Anita, Sarah, Sonny and everybody! See you in a few days for some Dry Kung Pao Chicken and a little hot tea, or maybe a couple of Mai Tais! Xièxiè and Zàijiàn until then!

Possibly the best Chinese food outside of China... We have eaten at many Chinese restaurants all over the world including China and I have to say we are never disappointed at Ocean Wok at Hampton Beach. It is our favorite Chinese restaurant in New England. Their traditional Chinese dishes are exceptional, clearly made with fresh vegetables and lean meat. You seldom find any fat on the meat and the vegetables are never overcooked. We cant comment on the fried food (Pu Pu Platter) as we normally avoid it*; but judging from what other customers order the fried dishes are very popular as well. We discussed the food one day with the owner who stopped by at the table. It soon became clear that he and his family are very health oriented and therefore cook the traditional foods with a keen eye on healthy dishes as they would do for themselves. WARNING: You may not be able to enjoy "Hot and sour soup" anywhere else once you have tried the one at Ocean Wok! IT IS THAT GOOD!!! *Except the fried chicken wings (served with lunch) or ala carte. Health conscientious or not these are hard to resist.

The food here is the best, no contest. But the staff is horrible. We go frequently and are always rushed . I am not talking about taking a long time. We are just normal eaters. The appetizers come quickly, but then so does the meal. Harldy a beat between the two. Not the way I prefer to eat. Then they try to take away the meal before you are finished. Then comes the bill with a smile and have a good nite. Maybe I would have more than one drink. But I will never know because I am NEVER asked. I will do take out or go on a quest for another great chinese restaurant. I tried to talk to someone tonight. They just do not care. We have taken it up till now because the food is good. Well tonight, I JUST DONT CARE. Will probably not ever go back. It is the only way I can get the point across. Vote with my money.

Absolutely the worst takeout food Ive ever spent my hard-earned dollar, just under $30 I ordered egg rolls, chicken finger, house lo mein, and egg drop soup. The food was so greasy that is soaked through the brown paper bag the egg rolls where un-edible soaked in grease same with the chicken fingers the house lo mein had so much oil that it actually smelled bad, I requested my egg drop soup to be with scallion it was serve with corn and tomato just awful had to throw the whole order out the ocean wok in Hampton is absolutely terrible and I take the one star back two thumbs down total waste of money.

This is the only Asian place I found at Hampton beach, there was a 15-20 minutes around 8pm. The menu is pretty big and at a great price! The egg rolls are pretty big and come at 2 for $5. The Vegetable Lo Mein was pretty good and the crispy tofu was spongy and kinda hard to chew but had a decent taste. There are very few waiters, took forever for someone to take the order. They leave the tables dirty for a very long time too, the one next to me stayed dirty the whole time I was there. Unusual: this place does not have soy sauce on the tables and they do not give you chopsticks.

Best traditional Chinese food in the area. Ive been going there for years. I rate Chinese restaurants by their hot and sour soup and Ocean woks Hoyt and sour soup is great. Excellent Lunch specials, great location just across from Hampton state park. It looks like a little " hole in the wall" and always has, but dont be fooled, The food is great.

The waiter tried to convince us that we ordered a certain chicken when we asked for beef, she was not writing down our order, and was rushing us to finish our food, continually asking us if we were done, she asked us if we were done three times before we were done, but by the other reviews, we must have just gotten a bad waiter on a bad day.

Tried going numerous times. Always rude staff and overly greasy food. Very bad service. They have never been about the customer, just about the money.
