I find Kimmies rather expensive but the food is very good, at least what I have had there. I just got back to Reno after working out of state for 4 months, decide to go to Kimmies. I sat on the other side of the restaurant for the counter. Got my coffee, ordered breakfast from Brandon S, read my paper. A young lady brought me my breakfast. I never seen Brandon again at my table. My coffee cup was empty, nobody around to even ask to fill it. I went to the other side of the restaurant to get a refill. A young guy refilled my cup, I told him there was a "coffee drought" in the other room. He told me there wasnt, as I worked away I said the serviced stunk. I was seated at my table when this young man came up to my table and asked me what I had said as I was walking away. His tone of voice was threatening. I told him service sucked. When the young lady who brought me my check, I still havent seen Brandon except when he was bring checks to other tables, ask me if everything was OK. I told her about the coffee, she said she was sorry....REALLY! She made no offer to take the coffee of the bill or anything else....just sorry. It is bad enough to spend that kind of money for breakfast and get NO service but to also be threatened as I ate....NO THANKS!

This place has always changed names throughout the years. Even as a child it has gone through several different names. It has always confused me. However, I LOVE this place. Be kind and clear to the staff here. They work hard. The menu has not changed since "Kimmies", but does have seasonal specials now and I feel its just as delicious. Eggs Benedict, how I crave you. Very busy on weekends, so expect to wait a few minutes. Weekdays you usually can be seated right away. Tips for customers: If youre going for cheap, just ask for the default order you want. If you want to splurge, it does get a bit more expensive with your sides. A fruit cup I last recall is $3. (Dont take my word on that though.) So if you love extras on your side, come on a day you want to splurge. The Cup Cafe... You can change names as many times as you like as long as you never leave my life! Do you still use Instagram? I had a blast with you guys.

The atmosphere is very home-like and comfortable. Initial service is good and food is good too. I was seated right away and drink order was taken. Although I was waiting for someone, it took about 15minutes for my server to get to me and wasnt busy. Coffee was always filled which is a plus. When it got to our 45 minute mark, the staff started rushing us since it was getting busy. That was frustrating. They even had a different waitress come and check on us. As we were just talking many people came and gone so we werent taking up space. I understand if they need the space but obviously they didnt. Overall, food is good. Atmosphere is good too. Service can use some work.

cozy, homey, outstanding home made sausage patty, biscuit with gravy option in place of toast same price...... 15 min wait for two on a sat am (1030-11ish). quick service and friendly. highly recommend. would be 5 stars but Im confused how a (1egg) fried egg sandwich is $8 and a two egg breakfast is $7. and how a giant biscuit with sausage gravy equals a single piece of toast. (great if you want the biscuit, not so much if you want the toast)

Came here for breakfast, got the pumpkin pancakes as well as scrambled eggs with corned beef hash, cheese, and hash browns. The portions were huge, the food was fresh and absolutely delicious. The best pancakes I have ever had in my life, real maple syrup, it was amazing. My wife loved her biscuits and gravy with eggs and potatoes. Prices are a bit expensive, but comparable to ihop, and the food is a thousand times better. 10 stars.

it was average at best, our server came back to us at the end of the meal to see how we were doing. $10.59 for corned beef hash and eggs, the hash was right out of the can, under cooked and they served one small piece of toast with the meal. They made us long for the Black Bear Diner. where the hash is made fresh every day, portions are ample and prices are better. Sorry Kimmie, your food to price value is out of whack !!!

Took some family from out of town to Kimmies and had a neutral experience. The food was good. Nothing jumped out and made me want to come back. The decor is great and makes you feel like you are back in grandmas kitchen. The service was okay, but the gentlemen helping the waitress spilt water everywhere. It is worth trying and we may go back. Give it a thumbs up, but not jumping up and down about the experience.

This restaurant ROCKS! The portions are huge and the quality is outstanding. Between the entire team and the owners John and Donna they make you feel right at home. Ive been here twice this week although I live in Kings Beach...its so worth the drive. The disadvantage is the didnt open this up the mountain..keep up the high standards and quality because they will be around for years!

Went to Kimmies on Nov 25th. I ordered a breakfast burrito. For nine dollars I got a dried burrito with sauce on the side no cheese over the top and no home fries, toast etc I didnt complain but they need to go to The Home Town Cafe on Lemmon Drive to see what a real burrito meal looks like. It cost less too l will not be going back to Kimmies....I vote with my pocketbook.....

This is a great place to have breakfast. I had Eggs Benedict with home fries. Best Ive eaten yet. I asked them to toast the English muffin well done and it was perfect. The home fries werent greasy, just grilled to perfection. The service was great, the decor pleasant and the bathroom was clean. Plenty of parking and easy to get to. I will go back again soon.

My wife and I had breakfast here this morning for the first time. We eat out often, and this was the best breakfast weve had in a very long time. The bacon was amazing, and thats coming from someone who raises their own pork. The eggs were perfect. I had the Irish Benedict, that was wonderful also. We will be back again.

Aside from the person who seated us being disinterested/bordering on unfriendly, a great experience. Absolutely no complaints about the food. Our party had a mix of breakfast and lunch items and all were delicious. The biscuits and gravy are not to be missed, and the potato salad was great.

Food was great, and the portions were just right. Had the Chorizo scramble, and pumpkin pancakes. One of the best breakfast I had in a while. Will definitely recommend this to anyone, beats Dennys, and the usual places any day of the week. Service was good as well.

This cafe was a great find on my business trip to Reno. Stopped in every day for breakfast. The prices were fair and the food was great. The service was top notch. I recommend making it a stop on your visit to Reno.
