Ok, so my girlfriend and I have reservations for Valentines Day here and are excited because of the great reviews. We were sorely disappointed. Upon arrival, I knew I should have went somewhere else when we were given the abbreviated menu. I was looking forward to the porterhouse steak but it was nowhere to be found. So, we decide to stay because of the reviews. I ordered a Corona but was informed that they ran out. It was 7pm. My girlfriend ordered a margarita and had 2 sips off of it...it was that bad. We sent it back for a Bud Lite. I figured that they could not screw that up. For an appetizer, we ordered the calamari. It consisted of 5 or 6 breaded pieces that were about 6" long. It was absolutely horrible. I mean, how do you screw up calamari?? First of all, it was barely warm but secondly there was no marinara sauce. When I asked for some, the waiter looked dumbfounded and brought us some white colored sauce to make it bearable. Then the steaks arrived. My $31 NY strip was tiny, barely warm and came with instant mashed potatoes that were the same temperature. I have had better steaks on a buffet. My girlfriend ordered the filet mignon. To its credit, it was pretty big and looked good but was also nowhere near as good as expected. It almost seamed like they cooked all the meats that morning, put them in a pan of broth and heated up to order. So, for $91.00 we got two warm steaks that kinda sucked, warm instant potatoes, horrible calamari, a few vegetables, a Bud Lite, a Bombay Sapphire martini and a Peroni beer. I would have been better off stopping at a truck stop. I am sure the food would have been better... Anyway, this is just my 2 cents. Maybe the others did have a good experience but I will never return nor recommend this place to anybody. I am planning on moving from Chicago to the Springfield area so I have been going down and trying new restaurants. So far, the Flame has the best steaks but the 3rd time I went left little to be desired. That is why we tried this place. Boy, THAT was a mistake...

We had tried a couple times previously only to catch them during their closing between lunch and dinner. When we finally made it in for dinner, we were sorely disappointed in our experience here. When we walked through the door and got hit in the face with a very strong smell of spiced candle. This was overwhelming. There were three adults and a child in our party. We ordered three steaks and a chicken Alfredo for our daughter. My ribeye (about $30 for each steak) was under cooked but was okay as far as flavor and texture. The two orders of KC strips were filled with sinew and extremely under cooked. My husband and father-in-law sent theirs back to be replaced with the strip. The table next to us had the same issue but suffered through it until we explained we had the same issue. Then he decided he would say something to his waiter. Another table just got up and left their food sitting on the table after discussing with waiter. Another table had an issue with the Filet (about $35) and sent it back. When I cut up the chicken for my daughter I realized it was pressed, fake chicken which we were charged over $10 for it. That was 4 tables out of 6 that had issues with their steaks, two at our table. Steakhouse is in their name for goodness sake! Our waitress was very apologetic even though it wasnt her fault. The chef should have realized the steaks were horrible quality and not served them in the first place. From looking at other reviews, this is a consistent problem. The waitress brought us desserts to make up for the hassle but she didnt give us a choice. She just brought two desserts of her choice. This was a sad representation of a restaurant and I cant imagine how it has such a good rating unless they are fake reviews. We wont be back. My father-in-law actually thought we were on candid camera or it was a fake restaurant because it was so bad.

While visiting relatives in Springfield, MO from Paris, I had the ultimate pleasure of dining in luxury at The Argentina Steakhouse. I was thrilled when I opened the menu for the first time and saw they had several of my favorite items with their own unique spirit. Everything from the menu was delightful, including the Argentina Salad (with the mouth-watering pineapple vinagairette). I also got to sample the Beef Sashimi which was absolutely phenomenal. I ordered the Ribeye, which was cooked to perfection. My wife ordered the filet, which had a really great mushroom cream sauce, and the layered potatoes were so delicious it was sinful. Upon my arrival in Springfield the next time I visit, The Argentina Steakhouse will be my welcoming dinner. -From Paris with Love

I absolutely love The Argentina Steakhouse. While my husband and I were dating, he was living in Kansas City. Every time he would drive down he insisted on going here for "the best steaks in Springfield, if not ever." The servers are always very accomodating and are willing to help meet all of our picky requests. Their homemade spinach potatoes are amazing, but the roasted red bell pepper mashed are my favorite by far. My favorite appetizer is the calamari, which is served as the extra tender steak strips as opposed to the chewy rings that you are used to. Get in here immediately for a great romantic dinner!

My wife and I truly enjoyed our dinner the other night. The candlelight, muted conversation, enchanting piano, and delicious food was just the atmosphere I needed after work this week. I would describe the atmosphere friendly formal- like a dinner party with friends. There was almost one waiter per table and no sooner had we set our salad fork down then the entrée replaced it. Service was attentive, but not hovering. You neednt spend more here than a chain steakhouse, but you will be tempted to. It was -in my opinion- worth it. We will be returning.

I will write this in English so that everyone can understand. I myself was born and raised in Argentina, lived there half of my life, but we are not here to talk about me but about how great this place is. This restaurant had all the classic steaks and salads that youd find in any restaurant in Argentina. They also served chimichurri and salsa crioya with our plates. The reason Im also giving it 5 stars because its in the middle of nowhere Springfield, MO. This shows that whats good is found everywhere, highly recommend "Bife de Chorizo".

We had 60 guests at my son’s rehearsal dinner at Argentina Steakhouse last week. I cannot say enough about the amazing meal they served us. Thank you Sandra Kim! You made it so easy to plan [even from out of state], decorate and enjoy the evening. The servers did a wonderful job taking care of everyone and were so friendly. Even a week later, I continue to receive compliments! So glad this was the restaurant we chose for this memorable event.

Thank you so much Sandra Kim for your help in arranging our Rehearsal dinner for our sons wedding. You made everything extremely easy for us to plan for 13 guests at such a busy time. All that you had recommended was delicious, and fully enjoyed down to the last morsel of dessert, and sip of savored wine. The professionalism and pleasant disposition of our server made the experience even more enjoyable. Thank you all for a wonderful memory.
